Visited one night at the Courtyard. Very nice central hotel just off Princes Street and as we were visiting The Playhouse a couple of doors down it was very convenient. The staff are very polite and efficient. Room very clean and our room at the back overlooking Calton Hill was very quiet. Breakfast buffet service and has cooked full Scottish, fruit, cereal, yogurt and pastries. Very enjoyable stay.
We stayed in this hotel for two nights. The room was on the small side, but it was comfortable. There were plenty of restaurants in the area, both casual and fast food. We enjoyed being in the center of a busy city while we were in the hotel, with its many conveniences and things to see. We were able to shop for souvenirs and walk to and from Edinburgh Castle from the hotel. The buffet breakfast was good.
Enjoyed 2 day visit to Edinburgh in Courtyard Hotel. Reception was friendly, fast and effecient. The rooms are clean, spacious, comfortable and well priced. Breakfast had lots of choice, was plentiful and cooked food was hot. Would recommend to all
The overall stay here was very good. The room is nice, bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was ok. Very nice friendly staff. Good overall choice but hot food was like warm at best, not seasoned and dried out and unappetising. And best of all they had run out of butter. I mean really??. Up till breakfast our stay was excellent.
Rooms were clean and as expected. Nothing else stands out. Except the breakfast. This perhaps is the best part of the experience. It's a 10 min walk from Edinburgh Waverly. Tough if you have heavy luggage. It's downhill from the station to hotel. It's tough if you are leaving the hotel with luggage
The Hotel property is well located and modern. But extremely badly managed. The Restaurant Manager a gentleman named Diaana is blatantly offensive , screaming at his staff even as the guests are having dinner. Someone really needs to teach the gent some basic hospitality etiquette as it's extremely unnerving to hear staff being screamed at while you wish to enjoy your breakfast and tea. Next the laundry services are dismal as laundry doesn't get delivered to room because the credit card was charged to a different room. While in the room there was an electrical failure and the room lights went off too. The housekeeping is shoddy and on first day there was no face tissue in the bathroom Last but not the least the safe locker too had issues in being unlocked Apart from Nikolas and the lady who Checked us in just nothing works jn the entire property. …
Stayed here for 3 nights Dec 22. Fab location. Close to train station, we drive and pre booked the Q car park which is on the same road, very handy. The rooms are lovely and big, very clean. Cleaned everyday and fresh towels if you want them every day. We only had breakfast at the hotel, this was really nice. Scrambled egg on the buffet but you can order fries or poached which are cooked to order. Large choose, cereals, yoghurt, pastry’s, cold selection. The hotel was very quiet of a night, so we slept well. The staff were all really friendly. Honestly couldn’t fault anything.
Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, and it was really lovely. Very clean hotel and good size rooms. The hotel is in an ideal location, a short walk from the main streets and the Christmas markets. There is a theatre , bars, and restaurants a few minutes stroll away with also local chip shops and Indian restaurants just across the road. Parking is a few blocks away in a secure multistory carpark that is discounted when staying with the hotel. Arrived to a token gift in the room with Birthday card on arrival. What a welcome. Thank you! Very friendly staff who were always helpful from time of arrival , breakfast time, and check out.
Stayed in this property for few days after finishing my conference at EICC and I must mention the wonderful service provided by the breakfast team, especially by the hospitality provided by Mr. Chandi (hope I am spelling out correctly) and Mr. Antony at the reception. Both of the boys seemed professional and they know what they are doing. Apart from this, rooms were okay in comparison to price and bar service was not so impressive and the menu seemed a bit outdated, very small font size which was really difficult to read. Food was very basic however the service provided by Chandi and team regardless of it being crazy busy compensated it all.
As a Marriott Associate(London Marriott Grosvenor square) I am really proud and Amazed by the service by the Hotel . I stayed Here just for a day and it was an amazing experience . All the employees were Very friendly and Helpful. Specially Nikolas at the front desk he was very welcoming and helpful.
