Just returned from a two night break at this beautiful hotel. This is my second time here and it lived up to my expectations. The decor is beautiful and the view is amazing. The staff are friendly and courteous, the food is delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our set meal menu and I enjoyed the best bramble cocktail I have ever had! We will return to this hidden gem on the Causeway Coast.

Took a mid week spa and dinner break with my wife. I hadn’t heard of Salthouse before but was really impressed. The rooms are gorgeous, the staff friendly, food excellent and spa beautiful. We will definitely be back!

Visited the Salthouse a few weeks ago with a good friend. The view was magnificent with quality of food to match. Beautiful decor, a fine dining experience, warm and friendly staff, a really nice ambience. Can't recommend it enough. Needs to be visited.

We are just back from an amazing stay at the Salthouse hotel and spa. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable with everything we needed, reception staff were all very helpful, Lee in particular couldn’t have done enough. The food was very good also, restaurant staff were friendly but service could have been faster as it wasn’t overly busy. Cocktails were to die for but a bit pricey if you plan to have more than a few. The spa was spectacular. From the moment we entered we were greeted by Shannon, the spa manager. She was exceptional. Very welcoming, friendly and professional. Had a lovely way with her staff also. Couldn’t have done enough to Makesure not only us, but everyone was having a fantastic experience. She is an absolute credit to your business and she has definitely made us want to return! The views were breathtaking and I really look forward to our next trip here!

The interior of the hotel is lovely but they really need to go around and deal with lots of little issues - window frames coming apart, unfinished wiring hanging from ceiling, doors catching on carpet. Our ground floor room smelt of damp. Service generally good but when checking out it would of been nice if the girl was a wee bit more engaging and asked us how are stay was?? Its the little things that make a difference!

I booked a birthday surpize for my wife. Spa- we were told to wait for our turn in the hot tub and only one was working. First couple got out, we gave the second couple 15 minutes and when they didn’t seem to let us in we got in as there was only 20 minutes of our time left. Couple didn’t get out to let us have time alone like we did for the others. To make matters worse the spa receptionist came and turned the other (not working apparently) hot tub on for the first couple to have another go on their own. Would recommended the spa as there is not much there. My wife had a pregnancy massage which she loved so that is definitely a plus. Room- very nice touch to leave a birthday note and treat in the room, that was appreciated. We did however end up with the room right beside reception which was very noisy with the doors beside us banging open and closed constantly. The door handle was also broken. Dinner- the food was lovely for both dinner and breakfast, really can’t fault it at all. However, when I paid our bill I asked the waitress could I put a tip on with my card and she very rudely told me that they don’t get them tips for 6 months so it’s up to me if I wanted to do it. Quite taken back I said I didn’t have cash so it’s my only way of tipping. I tried to make a joke about how people don’t seem to carry cash with them anymore to the response of the waitress saying well you really should carry cash. I was honestly shocked and taken back by this! I can’t say I would recommend any of my family or friends to visit unfortunately.

Without a doubt one of the best spa and hotel experiences available in Northern Ireland. My Fiancé and I have stayed at the Salthouse hotel recently for two nights and wow what a place.!!! From start to finish the level of service is top notch with professional staff who clearly take pride in the hotel and have an excellent depth of knowledge of surrounding areas. The accommodation is exemplary as standard. The Spa is amazing sitting in a hot tub overlooking the breath-taking views of Ballycastle. All around a perfect escape to relax, the only downside is having to leave the hotel!

The Salt House is a really lovely hotel. Beautiful decor, spotlessly clean with gorgeous views. There’s something very calm and relaxing about The Salt House. Great size bedrooms with very nice bathrooms. Walk in showers, lovely toiletries. It’s about a 15-20 min walk down to the beach, you need to be quite fit to walk back up the hill 😊. I did see cars parked at the bottom of the hill, so you could just drive and it would take just a few mins. I would highly recommend this hotel. I’m very pleased we chose it for our trip.
