I feel bad writing this. But I have to talk about it. I have had afternoon tea here many times, before I stopped eating meat and dairy for many reasons both Health and conscious reasons. There afternoon teas have always been the best by far. I visited today with my mother and niece and was sadly disappointed. I booked in advance with my dietary requirements given, my mother and niece were having standard afternoon teas. On arrival it felt like they weren't ready for any guests, I accept that as it's an odd time where covid has caused many problems, I shrugged that off. We were taken outside to the terrace and seated. So far so good. Was a fresh warm day. I am asked who is having the vegan option,I say me, automatically feel like I am met with disapproval. The afternoon tea comes, at a glance it looks amazing we'll presented. He explains what's on them, seems to struggle with mine because it's a poor attempt, like they hadn't noted my dietary requirements in advance of my arrival. I had 2 types of different bread sandwiches all filled with just lettuce, tomato and cucumber. No actual fillings. I have three tiny cakes on the top which were small and dry, they were tasty however. On the bottom, forget any attempt of scones or baked goods, I get a bowl of fruit, 6 pieces to be precise and a dish of jam My.moms looked nice, a bit more variety but when we all started eating, we were met with stale, dry bread, like the sandwiches had been made in advance and sat on the side. I am all for placed catering for alternative dietary requirements but if you arnt going to commit to It fully don't do it, because your advertising a lie you cant fulfil or carry out. Like I say I feel bad for this review because previously I rate you guys to everyone. But not this time. Sadly disappointed. This is not a good representation of vegan Afternoon tea.

Hotel's Favourite
I stay 2 to 3 nights a week regularly. I have been doubg this for nearly 5 years. I have seen the same or probably better standards in tge hotel and the staff since COVID. I feel very safe staying here. The hygiene standards are very high and reliable. I will continue my stay peacefully in this lovely place.

Stayed here last Saturday evening and I have stayed several times in the past and it has always been fine. I was horrified on Saturday to find that the hotel has now had a large influx of homeless people. This hotel is recommended by our company for business, we don’t expect to see homeless families and children running around when we come to Birmingham to do business. I feel that we should have been told that there were homeless families in the hotel to give us the choice to stay somewhere else.

Dear Amcodata, We are confused by your review as Park Regis Birmingham does not have any “Homeless People” staying in the hotel. It appears that you have highlighted the wrong hotel. I have searched our records have have no details of your stay. Regards, Lilly Guest Relations Executive

I made a last minute booking as an air B and B booking I had made was not really as shown or stated on the website! On arrival myself and my father were literally welcomed in by the young lady “Lilly” working on reception, one of the nicest and helpful hotel staff members we have ever come across! who even heated our meals we planned to cook at our previous accommodation. The hotel was really nice, clean and exactly what it says on the tin !!! (If Carlsberg did hotels.... 😂) Have even opened a corporate account for future bookings !

Long term family stay. Family friendly. Disability friendly. LGBTQ+ friendly. First impressions of the hotel, particularly once inside, are awe inspiring! The aesthetics of this building are stunning, creating a calm, clean, beautiful and yet practical environment. The views are wonderful, particularly from the very upper floors and at night. Yet, although appreciated, it’s not the aesthetics and comfort that make this hotel. It’s the staff. Everyone I have met from management to the cleaners are friendly, professional and authentic humans. It’s true that nothing is too much trouble for them, they genuinely wish to make your stay a special and comfortable one. My eldest child has complex needs both physically and socially. The hotels accessible room really is truly accessible. Moving around the hotel is done with ease too. All the staff recognise different needs and work to meet them, through genuine care and compassion. Possessing the ability to communicate with autism in mind, is absolutely priceless! My youngest child has not been left out and has had their fair share of positive attention from all staff. Both Lilly and Paul in particular have a wonderful manner with children and clearly enjoy making them feel seen, heard and appreciated. Outside of catering considerately to special needs the staff also do the little extras to make you smile. Sometimes grand gestures too, Santa’s visiting the children (socially distanced) outside the hotel tomorrow! The covid measures here are extremely thorough and even when they limit the ability of the hotel to run as they would otherwise wish, this does not impact on the lovely experience of staying here. Problems are resolved swiftly and discretely, so long as they are communicated in plenty of time for any possible adjustments to be made. This hotel is obviously run not from duty alone but also from the heart as that’s reflected in all that they do. Thanks again all :)
