Second time staying at this hotel after attending concerts at the arena. Lovely greeting from reception on arrival, hotel Spick & span, rooms clean & tidy with large TV on wall, tea/coffee making facilities, clean towels & toiletries, ironing facility. Beds are comfy with clean bedding. We had a comfy peaceful nights sleep. Fantastic breakfast in the morning with great choice from cooked option, cereals, toast, yoghurts, fruit, juices & hot drinks. Can’t wait to stay again. Thank you Ibis Styles 😁

The interior was a little dated but they are currently doing renovation. Overall the room was good, comfy bed and decent bathroom. All very clean. Breakfast was fine, quite basic but good choice . Would recommend for a night or two away for friends

We stayed here for one night this weekend. The location is super close to the station and city centre, a 10 mins walk and really straight forward. It's tucked down a side road that's a bit intimidating at night but is on the corner of a bright, comforting main road. The staff on arrival were great. Friendly, joking and informative. Check in was quick. The hotel itself is having a bit of a face lift downstairs but in general is a tad tired. The lift had an odd smell, the corridor on the 3rd floor stank of urine. The room itself was basic but absolutely what you need. Comfy bed, TV, the bathroom was really big and shower decent. The downside to our room was it had no window due to adjoining a roof so i assume to avoid people climbing out and being a family room. However the aircon we found to either not work or be totally useless. if they hadn't put a fan in the room we'd have struggled. Breakfast was included in the price and again, super basic but just what you need. Bacon, sausage, egg, beans, toast (prepare to queue a while), cereals and jams, croissants tea, coffee, juice. the drinks weren't very nice and as i say queueing for toast is a pain, especially as you're only allotted half hour to eat. The staff again were super friendly, constantly clearing tables and refilling. If in the area again, we would stay again as it's perfect for a night or 2.

The hotel is OK on average considering the cost. We had a broken toilet roll holder and some rubbish left on the floor and the place felt a little bit tired. It was clearly once quite a plush place. The staff were all cheerful and helpful.

Warning - do not book this hotel. They constantly over book and your booking is not secure until you check in on the day. We arrived at this hotel at 9am to drop our bags off before heading out for the day. The reception staff were aware we arrived and informed us we were unable to check in - to be expected at 9am. We then received a call at 5pm asking if we were still staying that evening. We arrived at the hotel at 01.30 to be told the hotel was overbooked and as we were the last to arrive, there were no more rooms available. The duty manager was incredibly rude and stated it happens every weekend and basically it was our fault for arriving late! Shambles! Avoid at all costs!
