I stayed for 5 nights at this nice hotel in Warwick, which I chose for a taste of authentic England on the basis of TripAdvisor reviews, and I was not disappointed. We had two rooms, 1 and 2, and both were lovely decorated. The mattresses were extremely comfortable and the bathrooms fully renovated and sparkling clean. I would have liked to have one or two pegs to hang coats and towels, both in the room and in the bathroom; otherwise the rooms were adequately furnished, with room 2 having a larger table to work. The staff is very nice and helpful and the breakfast served in the pub is as English as one could wish for. As an Italian, I could not get a cappuccino in the morning, but as I was there for an English experience, that was not too bad. And the coffee machine in the room makes a very good coffee anyway. Another small problem was that the car I had rented was almost too large to pass through the ancient archway leading up to the internal parking. In the end I made it, and the staff helped as much as they could. So if you plan to stay at this hotel, do not rent too big a car. All in all it was a very nice experience, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone who would like to have a truly British experience instead of a boring, all-the-same chain hotels. Thank you very much to the staff, I will definitely come back again!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review Alessandra We're all very pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay We will look at getting some hooks put up in the bathroom Though the archway leading to the car park is small, we were impressed by your handling of such a large car on the way through! We look forward to seeing you again when you're back in the area Best wishes Fourpenny Team

We're just back from our excellent stay at The old Fourpenny shop Hotel. The room was comfortable and very clean. We then went to the restaurant which was also exceptional clean it was the first night of the new rules. We had our evening meal, fish and chips which was absolutely delicious. The bar staff and Jamie were excellent. Jamie has a nothing is too much trouble way about him, being extremely polite in reminding customers to wear their masks, when walking through the restaurant. He's an asset to your establishment. Breakfast the next day was very tasty, and we were served by a polite waitress. The whole stay was brilliant! Thank you to all your staff, who obviously work hard to make each stay a memorable one. We'll done team.

We stayed at the hotel twice in one week, at the beginning and end of a road trip. We had 2 different rooms, one in the main building and the other in the courtyard, both were very clean and COVID conscience. We ate in the bar on the 1st night and it was lovely, all the staff are very friendly. The breakfast was also good. Love to stay here when visiting family and will certainly return

Stayed overnight on 16/ 9 after a visit to Warwick Castle Everything was perfect for our visit, lovely clean room, with coffee maker and delicious complimentary biscuits Complimentary hand sanitizer was provided . Excellent breakfast ! The courtyard entrance was a little difficult to negotiate with our rather large vehicle, but not a serious problem! Many thanks to the team operating a great service in difficult times!

We stayed in a courtyard room which was lovely and clean, Fabulous staff, nothing was too much trouble, The Sunday dinner was to die for and a really nice breakfast, 5 minute walk from the centre and castle, Car park is a little tricky but is manageable with a larger car (don't be put off by the entrance) Can't wait to return!
