Having never visited Warwick we decided to spend a few nights here and having read lots of good reviews stayed here. The chap on reception was very friendly and accommodating - we didn't really need much throughout our stay but if we had felt like it was no trouble to ask. We were the only people staying in the hotel so we're upgraded to an executive room (more space, bigger bed) - it was right next to the main road which can't be helped and the noise wasn't too bad. The radiator in the room didn't work - luckily it wasn't cold but might be a different story in winter. If we had asked I'm sure it could have been sorted but didn't bother us. Breakfast was fine - continental included in the price and sufficient for us. Didn't get a cooked breakfast whilst there so can't comment on this. Walking distance to all local amenities which was what we wanted so if we visit Warwick again would have no reservations about staying here again.…
The positives were a comfortable bed and decent WiFi. The receptionist told is it was his first day. We were allocated room 9 which he took us to but we told him we thought it might be noisy so we changed to room 4 which had secondary glazing. This did not prevent us hearing significant traffic noise but the position of the hotel makes this inevitable. The towel radiatior was leaking so the receptionist turned that off and brought a towel for the dripping water. The bathroom was therefore quite cold. The receptionist didn’t wear a mask from the time we arrived. We couldn’t use the blind on the bedroom window because the secondary glazing was stuck and anyone looking in down the side of the eyelet curtains could see in so we hung our lightweight coats on the curtain rail only to find them very dusty in the morning. The next morning there was no heat in the bedroom but when the receptionist came we asked him to wear a mask which seemed to surprise him but he did go and get one. He couldn’t turn the bedroom radiator on but then got the bathroom one working but as it was after we had showered and dressed in the cold bathroom and bedroom. Note that the anti-slip mat for the bath does not adhere and the bathroom fan switch was off and inaccessible. Breakfast was good although the receptionist was in and out to the buffet again not wearing a mask even though we had asked him to. I am Coeliac and gluten free bread needs a gluten free toaster so it was good that we had brought toast bags to prevent cross contamination. We left our feedback form at reception and as we were getting in to our car the receptionist came out and shouted across asking why we had scored him 5 out of ten. We told him it was because he didn’t wear a mask. His reply was that he didn’t need one when he was sitting down. We would not stay again.…
From the moment we arrived here the service was amazing. We notified the hotel that we were celebrating a special anniversary and they definitely went the extra mile which made our stay very special. A special thank you to Alex for his level of service.
We felt really welcome from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The manager, sorry I've forgotten his name, couldn't do enough for us, he was excellent! We had our 3 rooms upgraded for free as well and they were all immaculate and had everything we could have hoped for. The food was excellent at breakfast and the location was ideal for castle and the town. We were able to park both cars in the car park from our group as well. We will definately use it again if we return to the area and highly recommend The Castle Limes Hotel 🙂.
Room was very nice with 6ft bed and large walk in shower. Asked for higher floor but on ground levels next to a road. While not full next room occupied and their tv on wall behind our headboard. Could have been better laid out. Receptionist said it was his first day but he was very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast pretty poor. Continental which we expected would include fresh roll and pastries but only sliced bread for toast and a couple of prepacked pastries. We had paid a bit more for executive room but a quiet room is more important to us. It was within easy walking distance of town and plenty of restaurants which you should prebiotic at the moment with many having less seating than pre civic.
