I used to stay at this hotel a lot but hadn’t visited for about 2 years. What a disappointment. Room was still dirty on arrival and products had not been restocked. We complained, and came back to nothing having changed. In addition, the cleaner had also left the door unlocked. Instead of kicking off, I just asked for our room to actually meet the required standard I expect. Nothing changed. To give hints to the cleaner, we left notes, moved glasses to the door or to the sink, and moved as much as possible out of the way. STILL NOTHING! It took until the evening of Day 3 of our stay, and me going to reception with a physical list, to finally get our room sorted. All we got offered was free parking for a dirty room, empty facilities, stained sheets, an unlocked room, dirty mugs from previous guests and bins that hadn’t even been emptied. I will never stay again

Hotel's Favourite
Working in and around Newcastle so booked the Hotel Indigo. Good location with parking but glad I got there before 5pm as with rush hour traffic the local roads would made it challenging to find even with sat nav. Underground parking available but very tight spaces. Hotel very nice with friendly staff and comfortable and good sized room. Lots of bars in the area and a short walk down to the river. Ate int restaurant and pasta was very nice and chocolate brownie for pudding was perfect. Will stay here again if in the city. I stayed on Tuesday so assume at the weekends very busy location.

Room Tip: Car park very tight. In a city centre so during rush hour roads could be confusing.

Difficult to know where to begin. Location excellent - easy walking distance of the station and Metro. Well appointed room, with brilliant lights for reading in bed, though bed wasn't very comfortable. Superb shower, and the floor was genuinely non-slip. Menu for evening meals is a bit quirky but there was plenty to enjoy and it was cooked from fresh and wholesome, and we ate there every night. The breakfasts are out of this world - phenomenal choice. I've never come across any so good.Staff are friendly and very hard-working, especially in the dining room, where they work pretty much at a run. Strongly recommend.

Stayed here multiple times over the past few years when having date nights. They location is brilliant, very close to lots of bars, restaurants and shops. All of the team are very friendly and will help any way they can. The restaurant is amazing downstairs, aswell as the bar. They do some great cocktails. We always try and book a balcony room and haven't been disappointed yet. The corner suite is lovely and spacious but so are the other rooms. Beds are very comfy and huge. We will definitely come back time and time again.

We stayed for one night on a dinner bed and breakfast deal and were bowled over by this hotel. Staff were super friendly as many other reviewers have noted and the service in the restaurant was very efficient. The food (breakfast and dinner) was excellent and not expensive. Room was clean and modern. Location very central - short walk to the Bigg Market, St James Park etc. Would recommend for a short break.

Central Hotel. Pleasant easy check In .. First floor room ..very clean and fresh looking room.and nice bathroom . Quiet room .. We didn't do breakfast as stayed before and it's not worth the cost so a five minute walk to Wetherspoons for a breakfast we did this time and so much better . Only niggle is the underground carpark is small ..the actual width of spaces on small side and was a nightmare parking ..such a chew on and needed a tin opener to get out car .. and 14 quid charge Apart from that the place is worth a stay when at a good price

Great welcome from engaging staff. Yasser is a gem. Rooms well-appointed and spotless. Breakfast very good and again great staff. Good location near town and handy for all sport and racing. Watch out for parking at hotel. For some reason I was fined. Hotel eventually sorted it. Better ask at reception
