Excellent room with great view looking over the Tyne! Handy for thr Quayside, lovely walk along the river too. Lovely buffet breakfast too, plenty to choose from, including veggie sausages if you ask the lovely breakfast staff on duty. We had a great time for my Wife's birthday!
Stayed here with my Mam for one night as part of a deal. We were warmly welcomed by Chanelle and delighted to receive two complimentary drinks vouchers. Chanelle was so helpful and friendly and told us everything we needed to know. We were thrilled when we saw our room (415) as it had the most incredible view of the Tyne with floor to ceiling windows. It was a lovely room and very clean. The beds were really comfy. We had drinks in the bar in the evening and had a smashing time. We loved it so much we have already booked to come back in the summer! Thank you to all at the Copthorne.
Sunday lunch is fantastic value at 2 courses for £12.50. I had soup and a beef roast dinner. Hubby had pate and roast pork dinner. Lovely restaurant, seats facing the river, lovely staff . Have recommended to friends especially after a nice walk around the many stalls that the quayside now has to offer on a Sunday
We were delighted with our service from Elizabeth We were given Proseco on arrival 3tier dish containing Very tasty sandwiches ,cheese scones ,Devon scones and delicious cakes served with teas and coffee Would recommend to everyone.
I visited the Copthorne for a belated birthday celebration with my two daughters and I was delighted with the wonderful service we received. We purchased a prossecco afternoon tea, which was totally delicious and a very generous portion. The service was amazing and all of the staff were extremely attentive to every rquest, especially our wonderful waitress Elizabeth. I will defintely be returning very soon.
Four of us went for afternoon tea for a birthday treat. The food was delicious, especially the flapjacks, Big thanks to Janet who kept us supplied with teas and coffees. Lovely views over the river ,stylish surroundings.
My husband and I went for a two course Sunday lunch using a discount voucher. The restaurant was lovely and we got a window seat looking out over the river. The staff were friendly and helpful and the service was excellent. The food was superb and very good value for money - it was beautifully presented, hot and the beef was particularly good. My husband said it was the best Sunday Lunch he’d had eating out! We will definitely be back - highly recommended.
We stayed here for 2 nights and cant fault the hotel. Parking was perfect with lift to hotel we were given a room on top floor [5th] an a suite facing the river where we could sit by our huge window having a cuppa sitting on the comfy lounge chairs. Breakfast was superb and all staff friendly and helpful.
We stayed in a lovely club room on the 5th floor with a fab floor to ceiling window overlooking the river with a seating area to sit and have a drink whilst enjoying the view. Bed was comfy and the only noise was from the metro bridge. Only downside was the bathroom could do with an upgrade to fit in with the rest of the room, but we wouldn’t let this put us off returning. Breakfast buffet was nice and staff really pleasant.
I stayed at the Copthorne Hotel in Newcastle last night for the first time and I was really impressed. All of the staff I encountered were pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable with great views over the river. We had unexpected extras in the room like bath robes , a fridge with complimentary water, various kinds of tea and coffee. After checking in we had a river front walk straight out of the hotel onto the walk with great views of historic buildings, bridges etc. On our return we are in the hotel dining room, early diners (before 6.30pm) have a 20% reduction on the overall bill. The food was excellent. After a really comfortable nights sleep the breakfast choice was very good and again the food was tasty. We checked out but as we were shopping in Newcastle we were ok to leave the car in their car park and it only cost £10 for the night. We will definitely return, it’s handy for the sights of the Newcastle and shopping which was just what we enjoyed for a very reasonable price…
