We will be returning again in October 15th & 16th to meet family & visit sedgefield races, Travelodge sedgefield is in a good location for both the races & nights out in the village & is only a 10 minute walk to the pubs
All the staff were fantastic, house keeping, who did an excellent job, receptionist who was welcoming, cheerful, informative and also took note that we had a dog. And the manager who went out of her way to help us on the day of leaving. I really wanted to give a 5 star but as all the staff know the place really needs an upgrade and that is the only thing that lets it down. As the location is also a big plus.
Twice now in the last few weeks I have have had to travel at short notice with my 2 dogs. I have found Travel Lodge to be most accomodating. Easy outside paeking with comfortable rooms all at very reasonable price.
A quiet venue, with clean comfortable rooms, nice staff, great value and a super Indian restaurant right opposite in an otherwise rather sparse area.Travel Lodge accommodated us on the ground floor for my Mum who is in her nineties. She loved that there was a bath! Too help her out-only thing to remember is to keep their room key as once they are in unless they come to the door you cannot help.
Not suitable for disabled people staying longer than 1 night as shower over the bath. Shortage of towels in any event. Staff were friendly. It would have been helpful if there was literature on interesting places to visit.
Room very clean and fresh, staff very friendly and accommodating. Everything working well TV, shower etc. Good parking with a restaurant onsite. Would recomment to anyone wanting to stay in the Durham area.
Comfortable room for one night I guess. Room looking tired. Not brilliantly cleaned either. Very few plug sockets in room so had to unplug TV to charge 2 phones. Shame there was no hairdryer either. Won't choose to stay there again
It was indeed a pleasant experience as the receptionist was most cordial and very welcoming. The room is very spacious and bathroom was clean as well as the lights were functioning well in the room and the provision of an electric kettle with tea, coffee bags and milk. I highly recommend Travelodge Sedgefield to visitors.
I was going to stay at the Premier Inn down the road. however, they do not allow dogs to stay. I stayed at the Travelodge for the same price with my dog. It was very comfortable and had a great nights sleep. I was absolutely delighted.
NUTSHELL! I've been a loyal Travelodge customer for 15+ years, I spend thousands of pounds every year with them, I have never smoked, never vaped, never caused any damage anywhere, never even had a parking ticket. You get the picture. So imagine what I thought when CRS, the debt collecting bother boys of Travelodge, sent me a letter, out of the blue, last week saying I was being fined £150 for smoking damage that I had caused at Sedgefield. You'll gather , from the above, that I did not cause any damage. I complained to Travelodge who are sticking by their guns and are 'not changing their stance'. I've now gone to CRS to plead my case so we'll see where that goes. I've contacted the CEO and Marketing Directors of Travelodge, but do they even both to acknowledge me? I will not back down and implore you to avoid Travelodge. Whether they're targeting me due to a mistake or racism, I do not know, but I will not stand for it. DO NOT STAY AT TRAVELODGE. They make me sick with this.…
