Reliability, seriousness, cleanliness, rich breakfast....are just some of the features of this Guest House! Located in a strategic area for visit Oxford and a stone's throw from Brookes university and the services offered by Headington shop. Just outside the Red Mullions there are bus stops and so many other services. I can't find other words to describe this familiar environment than to recommend it to all those who pass by Oxford, for business or trip. Highly recommend and I will definitely be back soon!
A great weekend break. Room was very good. Manager Julie was very accommodating, `couldn't do enough', and friendly without being intrusive. Just changed from full English breakfast to continental breakfast. This was not a problem to us. Plenty of choice from it.
I blame this establishment for a fantastic night of sleep and my husbands new addiction to English Breakfast. We spent only one night at Red Mullions, but wish we had spent longer. Great room with accommodations for our 9 year old twins. Lovely garden area. The staff was excellent and accommodating. After a day of travel while fighting jetlag, I didn’t expect to sleep so well. The room with access to fresh air and a comfortable bed really made that possible. And of course, a wonderful breakfast. Now I have to learn to cry tomatoes properly and make English baked beans. Highly recommend. And we will be back.
· Booking – I booked a single room directly online with the Guest House, however after initially checking in, they quickly and without fuss changed my booking to a family room when the hospital allowed my partner to stay with me the night before his surgery at John Radcliffe · Hosts – a warm welcome and just so lovely to receive such a personal service from Pammy and H. It is clear that they love what they do. · Family room – our room was lovely and clean, airy, plenty of room and a good sized bathroom. This room was on the second floor, overlooking the garden and was nice and quiet · Single room – I was kindly shown the single room I had originally booked as I may have been returning depending on the plan from hospital. A double bed and the room looked bright, clean and a separate private bathroom (I was sorry we couldn’t stay a 3rd night as we were booked last minute to fly home) · Breakfast – a good choice depending on what you fancy and H kept me topped up with coffee. I wasn’t going to make breakfast on the first day as we had an early taxi, but H provided me with cereal, milk, juice, pain au chocolate and fruit the night before so I wouldn’t go without. · Tea, coffee, water, biscuits – provided in the room · Location – less than a 10 minute walk to the John Radcliffe hospital. Numerous buses running frequently in to the city. It is also walkable if you are not in a rush · Surrounding area – Restaurants: Asian, Greek, Lebanese, Fish & Chips, Pub Food, Dominoes, Subway. Those are the restaurants I can remember nearby so no issues on choice. Having said that, I/we ate at The Britannia 3 times as was the closest and I felt very happy eating alone there as so close to the Guest House. Supermarkets close by also · Amenities – we would happily bring our car over from Jersey in the future and make use of the on-site car park and take more time to enjoy Oxford · Oxford – we were here due to surgery, however cannot wait to return and without the hospital bit next time! · Thank you so much to Pammy, H and all the RM team. Emma and Paul …
Average and lacking any quality. Seperste toilets I don't mind but this one was like a public loo, slate and faded writing on walls. Staff lacking any graces, they should know not to talk about guests in the garden, when they can be heard from upstairs rooms!
Warm welcome, lovely, clean room and a tasty breakfast. We really enjoyed our short stay here plus there are plenty of buses right into Oxford centre. Saw red kites too which was an added bonus! We would definitely stay here again.
Great place, spacious clean rooms and friendly staff. Great breakfast too! Also I found it quiet although it is on main road, we slept well. The premises is also just a very short walk to some great restaurants and you can walk into Oxford although it is a longer walk.
This being my first stop upon arriving in Great Britain, I arrived travel-weary, as visitors from overseas are apt to do. I received a warm and friendly welcome and was shown to a cozy room, well-appointed for a solo traveler. The B&B was at a good distance from town for a pleasant walk into Oxford and back each day. Breakfast was made fresh to order and was delicious. My hosts were helpful and pleasant throughout.
Stayed here one night - the hosts were welcoming, room was spacious clean and had everything we needed. There was off street parking too which is a bonus in a city. The guest house is within walking distance of some good restaurants and pubs. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order and was delicious. Would definitely stay here again
Perfect little B&B! I stayed here just one night with my two kids and wished we had stayed longer. Everything was clean and comfortable, the room was super cozy, the tea set-up cute, and breakfast was very yummy. Everyone we encountered was friendly and went out of their way to care for us. Parking was easy, access to the city and restaurants was good, and noise was not an issue. I wish more hotels were like this. Highly recommend.
