I really do my best, as a 'senior' to try and write fairly for readers of my reviews. I have now written in excess fo 650 reviews, and currently have over 465,000 readers with many helpful votes. It saddens me to write negatively about a privately run business, which in my opinion with a bit of personal self awreness could be so much better. The booking online could have been through 'Booking.com' but understanding that they charge the operator a substantial fee, I opted to ring the establishment instead. The booking was made and the return confirmation by email had a very professional air to it. On arrival, there is adequate room to park, and a light gated entrance. Through this gate one comes across really what appears to be a neglected forecourt, very shabby with loose pavers, and a very untidy store, and rammel about. The welcome from the lady owner was OK, but little warmth. Our room , number 4 was situated just inside the enrance foyer, and was of an adequate size, and the 'continental' breakfst commodities were in a fridge and cupboard to one side of the room. To be fair, the commestibles were really very good. Freshgrapes, ham, bread & Butter etc. All to a very fair standard and well in date. Perfectly adequate, and more possibly than was actually required. The bedroom itself can only be described as very shabby. A mis-match of furniture, and really the impressions from the 60's. The television must be 10 years old, with a grubby screen. The room appeared clean, and the bed linen and towels all ok. The bathroom, urgently needs a makeover. cracked floor tiles with missing grout, and the shower mat at the last stages of its life. Water however was hot, but decor was really very poor, with very dated fittings. No extra bathroom ammenities at all. To me, this business appears to be on its last legs, and the cost of £75.00 for one night is actually excessive, when you consider room prices at a Premier Inn. You really in my opinion are gaining nothing from this private offering. Professional advice needed for the owners.

The positives of Wayside B and B are that it was very very relaxed in that we were more or less left to our own devices as Moira was apparently not around. It was quiet, appeared to be clean and not too expensive, also dog friendly. Unfortunately the breakfast was extremely poor with a few megre items being left in the cupboard and fridge for us. This was blamed on Covid. Although on the surface the room was clean, it needs a bit of tlc and just seemed as though no care was really taken in the overall condition of the place. I can only compare this to numerous other B and B's I have stayed in, which have all continued to offer the usual full English cooked breakfast and were of a better standard for similar prices. We left mid morning without any effort of communication, not even a cheerio from the chap walking around the house in his dressing gown, again, giving us the impression he simply did not care!

This is such a lovely Bed and Breakfast, it is very clean. Moira and Husband are both really nice people. You have a self contained room, with microwave, kettle, toaster and all you need for breakfast continental style. Moire explained they done this after covid and it is perfect. We had a double bed and single bed in our room, so this made it great for families, the other room had just a double bed. We also had a lovely ensure shower. There is a pub within spitting distance and the food there was great to. So overall this is a great place to stay. Thank you Moira and Husband for making our overnight stay just perfect.

It was a lovely quaint property, easy to find and an ideal location. Moira was friendly when we were checking in. Lovely clean room, and the continental breakfast was generous and fresh. We would definitely stay here again. The only ‘bad’ part was - we were in room 5 and there seemed to be a drainage smell, it was quite overpowering in the morning, and when we had come in from being out. It wasn’t great, but didn’t dampen our stay.

The wife and I stayed in this lovely B&B for one night as we were spending the weekend by the Broads and North Norfolk. This is an ideal place, beautifully located, with a lovely host, and the room is very cosy and comfortable, with all the facilities. Nice breakfast provided and clean bathroom, All boxes ticked.

We stayed here for two nights and were welcomed by the owners and their friendly little dog. The courtyard was rustic and reminded us of when we lived in Spain. It had a beautiful view across the cornfield where we could watch the sunset. We could sit here whenever we wished and we had our lunch here. The room was made up with fresh smelling, clean linen and towels. Due to Covid restrictions there was a small fridge and cupboard in our room containing our breakfast including a cafitierre, teapot, ham, philidelphia cheese, bread, pan au chocolate. Anything we used was replenished the next day. The en suite had a small shower and toilet and sink. The shower was powerful and lovely and warm. We felt very relaxed here and felt we could ask the owners if we needed anything.

Wayside B&B has rooms of various sizes to accommodate singles, couples, or small groups (2-3 individuals). The owner was away on holiday, but the proprietor, Sonja (sp?), was very sweet and accommodating. Fresh French press coffee in the morning with fruit, pastries, the obligatory meet and cheese, yogurt, milk and juices. It was just what we needed! Highly recommended!

We arrived on the 5-8-19 to stay a night with my family and it was a special 90th for my Dad to visit his favourite place Norwich to find after booking three bedrooms I rang the owner to ask if my other daughter could join us and asked how much extra for her and breakfast would be and I would pay the bill now. I was told that don't bother paying Booking .com as they keep the money for a mth and pay me when you arrive? We arrived to find after over 5 hrs she had booked the bedrooms to others people and all we got was an apology and an offer to book us in the pub over the road with a 90yr old a12 yr old and a ten mth old baby but was told it's was quiet and shut at 9.30 pm??? We had no where to go as we couldn't go traipsing round finding 3 double rooms in the main school hols after I booked this stay for over 2 months so we had to travel home with a fracious baby and and disappointed dad and daughters and another 4 hrs travel. On arrival wasn't that impressed with the outside appearance of Wayside and the owner was to busy looking after her own grandchildren to realise the situation but she came outside in the rain to apologise to me and my dad and daughter about what she had done ? Maybe she will not advertise on Booking .com again in view that she doesn't like them making her wait for her money and she needs to realise that she ruined our special few days and have some remorse and it's people like us that you need for your business

Stayed two nights at this well priced B&B. The bed was comfortable and the welcome, whilst a bit scratchy, was friendly enough. The room itself needs some love to get it back to what it was perhaps quite a while ago. Breakfast is self service from the rather noisy fridge in the room- cheap ham and cheese which had disappeared the second day- not sure where the warm pain o chocolats from other reviews got to..... There are more expensive B&Bs- this one just about achieved value for money
