A quick one night stay while visiting the city and university. Lovely rooms and the wonderful staff very kindly upgraded my single room to a double en suite which was wonderful! Excellent service. Beds were slightly too hard and walls a bit thin but overall great deal and great accommodation only a minutes walk to the station.

The service here is very nice, and it's hard to beat the convenience to the train station. The hotel is situated on the east end of the tourist area, so you can easily walk to all the sites you want to see from here. The rooms get stuffy with the windows closed, which is a problem because the street outside is very noisy at all times of day and night. The rooms are also sanitary but not exactly sparkling. It's a fine place to stay.

I stayed here on New Years Day for the football game at Carrow Road. The B&B is a great choice if you’re looking for a no-frills, centrally located room for the night!

The staff were extremely friendly and serve a great cooked breakfast in the morning.

Would certainly stay here again next time I am in Norfolk.

I've stayed in this hotel many times since early 2015, more recently in July 2022. The location is perfect for anyone arriving by train and the hotel itself has a wonderful Victorian charm with gorgeous views over the River Wensum. Staff couldn't have been more welcoming, supportive and helpful throughout my recent stay. Nothing was too much trouble - all queries were handled efficiently, and attention to detail was meticulous, e.g. fans provided during the mini-heatwave. Bed linen is spotless, cleaning is thorough, and, for a budget hotel, this is a very well managed operation. I'm grateful to Raymond (the manager) and his team for making me feel so welcome and I congratulate them on the work that has been put into upgrading the hotel and making it a safe and pleasant place to stay in Norwich.

The Central is very close to Norwich station on the banks of the River Wensum.

There are currently major roadworks in the vicinity so it’s a little more tricky than usual to get there, but still only five minutes away.

I had a single room with en suite facilities. My bed was comfortable, tea and coffee making facilities were supplied and there was sufficient wardrobe space.

The shower was decent with a plentiful supply of hot water.

I did not have breakfast, and one night cost a bargain £45.

Filthy room, dirty shower, hair in shower tray, mould and limescale in bathroom, not seen a duster in a while. Window frames dirty, tv remote didn't work.
Old, smelly, mismatched furniture, Won't be staying there again.

I booked this because I couldn't get a reasonable price booking in a big chain hotel. I usually prefer chains, because you're guaranteed good quality.

Central by far outdid my favourite chain hotel.

I was upgraded, was provided with a parking permit and was given a beautifully quiet room. The bed was fantasic, with an incredibly comfortable mattress. I had the best nights sleep I've ever had in a hotel.

I won't bother with the big hotels in future. I'll definitely be booking with Central again

Booked a triple room months in advance only to get a call just three days before hand saying hotel has closed down. Got my money back from website. However on arriving at another nearby hotel In Norwich they told me Central Hotel had been closed for months. Felt conned.

Very considerate friendly and thoughtful staff, comfy beds, decent shower. Breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked. Close to the night life so didn't need to wait around for taxis. Very happy, thank you

Do you have free car parking close by?
Norwich, United Kingdom
Hello We do not have a car park, parking is available on public roads, which mostly require a resident parking permit. We do have a limited number of permits available which release on a first arrived first served criteria. Also there is a chance without permit from 4.30 pm until 10 am in a limited area by the bus stop oppsite side of the hotel. Failing this, there are a few car aks very close by, at a various cost. I hope this is helpful for you Kind regards Michele
