Again, staff couldn’t be more helpful. A fabulous breakfast prepared early especially to meet our needs. Our room was small, but we were aware upfront. Very convenient for the area around Norwich. We’ll be back!

Lovely location really comfy bed and room however our room was freezing cold, heating didn't seem to be on and we travelled through the really cold spell. We had an electric heater which did nothing to warm the room up we also found it was on a double socket adapter then an extension lead. Not safe to leave on overnight which meant we froze good job we had a nice thick duvet. Shame as it's a stunning location but it has put us off going back.

Beautiful house set in the countryside. We had a very warm and friendly welcome. The room was lovely with everything we needed and a very comfortable bed. There was a good choice for breakfast and it was very nice, chef was a bit heavy handed with the pepper. I could not get onto the WiFi though.

We have just had the pleasure of staying at the Mangreen Country Hotel. First impression looks a bit quaint.Walk though the big front door and wow great reception room .Then we meet our host Katrina ,and to be honest she could not do enough for us.our room was on the first floor ,big with four poster bed ,now the rooms are not modern but fit the ambiance of the hotel , and very well furnished. Our stay came with breakfast which was all freshly cooked, lovely pouch eggs.On site they is a little farm shop and there is also a small swimming pool but you have to book as its very busy.If you are about Norwich for a couple days i would highly recommend Mangreen Country Hotel .its not even 5 mins from the park and ride which takes all the hassle from driving into Norwich .Katrina knows all the best places to visit and eat .

I stayed here with friends, my partner and dog. I absolutely loved the house, so many beautiful historic and original features combined with a touch of modern Artwork. All the furnishings were in keeping with the house and everything was very comfortable. The grounds had a choice of walking areas through woods and fields, great for the dog! We were welcomed by Tom who was extremely helpful and friendly and all the other staff were great too. The minute we arrived it felt so peaceful and homely. The included breakfast had everything anyone could want and we all really enjoyed ourselves. We would definitely stay here again for longer! A really special place.

An excellent guest house. No evening meal but we would recommend the Marsh Harrier pub a couple of miles up the road the Norwich. Our standard room was quite big with a good shower in the en-suite. Breakfast is very tasty- good quality bacon and sausage… coffee is plentiful. Staff were cheerful and helpful. All you want from this sort of accommodation. Excellent.

Disappointed after reading previous reviews, Staff were excellent very cheerful and helpful. Property was in need of a lot of TLC. It was a grand house in beautiful situation but needed updating. The room was classed as deluxe?!!! Not sure what that meant as we have stayed in various accommodation which was basic and provided us with better. Main bug bear was shower without a bath mat extremely slippery. We did ask for a mat but after apologies was told there wasn't any available. We therefore had to use one of the hand towels to avoid having an accident. Breakfast was OK but not exceptional.

Visited mid week in July as it was our Daughters Graduation at UEA next morning. Location of the hotel was good, literally 5 mins drive outside Norwich City Centre but still in the country side surrounded by farmland. The hotel itself was very nice, a traditional country house in nice grounds & Rooms were comfortable & clean. Checked in early evening & was given a breakfast order sheet that needed to be completed straight away. Breakfast does not start until 8am which I find quite late, especially staying so close to a large city. I explained that we needed to leave early in the morning as we had to be at the UEA early & whilst we understood they could not provide a cooked breakfast, we requested if we could have something cold, like cereal, danishes, fruit or toast etc for between 06:45-07:15 as we would be leaving at 07:15. We was told that wouldn’t be a problem. We came downstairs at 6:45 and there was nobody there other than other guests who were in the same boat as us, waiting for somebody to provide some breakfast & check them out as they were also leaving early to get to UEA. There was cereals & a bowl of not very fresh fruit on the side but no milk, no tea/coffee making facilities & no juices etc. At 07:15, still nobody had arrived so I phoned the emergency contact number….no answer and no response to my voicemail? So we left at 7:20 with no breakfast inside any of us & nobody there to check us out which felt very impersonal. Shame, as it’s a nice hotel but can’t fir the life of me understand why no staff on site early in the morning?
