Great stay at this hotel. Staff were all great. Breakfast for £5 each is a bargain (yoghurts, porridge, muffins, croissants, pain au chocolates, juices, coffee/tea, fruit salad, toasted muffins and jams/nutella, cereals) and rooms super, clean and modern for the price. Only Improvement would be better signage as walked past hotel a few times before realising where entrance was and the aircon unit made a bit of an odd noise sometimes but apart from that great!!

I had the pleasure of staying here this week. I was greeted by Rashim at the front desk who made me feel welcome and comfortable right away. I ended up setting the world to rights talking with him for ages before settling in for the night.
The room is extremely well laid out for such a small space.
It didn't feel anywhere near as cramped as other similar budget hotel rooms in the same area. The slide away desk, baggage storage under the bed, sliding drawer under the bed and clever niche cupboard were all excellent usage of space.
The lighting, aircon and "do not disturb/no need to change bedding" control panel is sheer brilliance.
A massive amount of accessible well placed plugs was excellent and the easy multiple connection types to the TV made the touches on the room superb.
No tea/coffee in the room, but a communal area at the front manned by super friendly staff made getting tea a fun thing rather than a chore of making a mess in a confined space.

Third time we have stayed here, just a two night break in between Christmas and the new year this time.
Small room yes but it is what it says, a Hub. Really good value for a London hotel, clean, modern, still in good condition after 3 years or so. Staff are very friendly when checking in / out and during your stay.
The location is good for the Tube station and lots of eating and shopping places close by including Spitalfields market. You can see the odd dodgy character in and around the area but just keep your wits about you and you will be fine.
Liverpool Street and Shoreditch are both a short walk away.
Room has almost everything you need apart from a glass but on reception there are cups that you can grab along with free coffee.
I would recommend this place for a short stay in London at a great price.

If you are looking for a room just to sleep the night in and want value for money then this is a good concept. If you book in advance you can get rooms at a good rate. The location of this one is good for Spitalfields market area but some of the area is not so good to walk around at night. Small compact rooms - a small double bed and a shower. A bit of a squeeze for two large adults. There is a cafe here. The air conditioning made an annoying noise. New and clean.

Stayed here on a birthday weekend that my girlfriend arranged. The hotel and rooms were very tidy and checking process was very simple, staff on hand to assist if you need help.
Room came with a free bottle of water, but word of warning, if you need more water in the night, I would advise grabbing in the day, long story short we had a late one and was so parched we spent £16 on water to be delivered as hotel couldn't accommodate, our fault for not thinking ahead but worth baring in mind lol.
Ultimately if you need a place to stay in London for a reasonable price then I highly recommend.

This hotel is in an area of London I’ve not stayed in before and I’m not sure if I felt safe-walking down the street to it.
The hotel itself is quite nice inside and the staff were very welcoming when I arrived.
You do not have any tea and coffee making facilities in these rooms you have to go to the restaurant to get one.
My room had a really bad smell to it , not pleasant.
The tv signal was poor and couldn’t get some of the channels.
The rooms are small and compact and my room was near the main door to the floor so was noise with people constantly going through it what seemed all night .
Not sure how you check out of this hotel I just walked out as there was no one around.

We have just returned from Hub by PI Spitalfields. We spent a weekend there and the location is perfect. Getting to the hotel from Liverpool Street (flight into Stansted) is just a short walk. Check-in was really easy as you only need the barcode in the reservation mail and staff is there to help. Talking about the staff, we only have nice words for CARLOS and his team. He was in charge and he could not be more helpful, nice and talkative. Thanks for making us feel so comfortable and thanks to Ana and Abdu when checking out. Rooms are very well kept, clean and modern (as was the rest of the hotel) with comfy bed. Free coffee/tea at reception. Powerful shower and good size bathroom (basic toiletries)

It’s worth saying I generally leave a lot of positive reviews for places. I’m not the sort of reviewer who slates everywhere so please don’t ignore this if you are considering this hotel.
In summary, I can’t recall having experienced a worse interaction with a hotel, staff and customer service for many years. Even poor hotels normally redeem themselves with good staff but this is very much an all round one to avoid.
Blatant lies from staff regarding communication that had not been made regarding hotel closure. Obviously attempt to mask own mistakes/ineptitude. Honesty and putting your hands up is far better.
Disregard for their own colleagues in partnering hotels by ‘dumping’ us there without providing transfer details resulting in us waiting an hour in reception for this to be resolved. I’m think the receptionist was equally annoyed with her colleagues buffoonery.
Asking for additional payment before a refund was received in order to access our room at the new hotel due to ‘internal systems’ i.e. chap in Hub incompetent and didn’t follow process to transfer us.
Failure of hotel manager and Whitbread to address complaints after a long wait for any reply - very obvious cut and paste email not addressing specific complaint points raised.
Shamefully suggesting Covid and customer safety was priority rather than admit strong of mistakes.
It’s difficult to imagine you’d experience more clowns in the average circus.

The good:
The staff are first class. They were polite, helpful and made guests feel safe.
Rooms are well insulated and quiet considering the outside environment (Brick Lane)
Breakfast for £5 was great value with good coffee and some perfectly good choices for the price. Staff are always attentive and it was warm and cosy on a December morning.
A bottle of water in rooms is a nice touch, and communal areas are modern and clean.
The not so good:
Cleanliness. Rooms and communal areas were clean on first glance, but look a little closer, and you find things aren’t as clean as they could or should be.
The mattress and bedding were free of bedbugs, but the floor, carpets, bathrooms and bed areas could be cleaned more thoroughly, vacuumed well and sanitised properly. The carpet (Room 108) was stained and grubby.
Overall, acceptable for a quick business stay, but not for a holiday or short break. Sorry!

The hub is a cool hotel but failed us because I had a terrible night's sleep.
There were a few problems in the room that caused me to not sleep. The aircon unit made a running water noise every 10 minutes that was so loud that at first I got out of bed to make sure that it wasn't water coming into the room. I then thought it must be a bathroom of another room next to ours because it was so loud. Turns out, after plenty of lying awake and getting out of bed to make sure, it was in our room and coming from the aircon unit. I turned it off, the room got very warm and there was also a aircon leak detector by the entrance door that every several minutes would suck air in really noisily regardless if the aircon was on or not. The aircon got turned back on and I tried to put up with the frequent starting and stopping of this running water noise. The rooms also have this modern touch screen control for the electricity in the room. They are a good idea if they work properly but the light that comes on to illuminate the controls kept turning on by itself and this was casting a relatively bright white light on my face while I was lying down. I had next to no sleep and the person on the front desk did not seem to care. There was no mention of the good night guarantee that is premier inn policy and I was very disappointed. Bad night and Bad service from the front desk in the morning - the rest was good.
