I actually stayed at the Café Royal in May 2022. I know it's taken me 2 years to write this review, and unfortunately, I cannot select a date later than April 2023.
Despite the time, I vividly remember my amazing stay at the Café Royal. It all happened on the 14th of April, 2022. I spent 2 nights there and honestly had such a relaxing time.
First of all, their amenities! Do you know that they gave us so much food and champagne that we did not need to order dinner after this? My picture is not giving the amenities we got justice, but just know that not everything was captured!
I had the best massage that lulled me right back to sleep, then returned to my room to enjoy a nice bubble bath - something I usually never do. However, their bathroom setting was so inviting, I had to give it a try.
Their English breakfast was good; I had it twice but with different styles of eggs, if I remember correctly. What stood out the most was their extremely cute and original 'chausson aux pommes'! It was shaped like an apple!! Like, what!?
I had an amazing stay, and the receptionists and the guest service team, in general, were extremely nice and welcoming!
Looking forward to staying there again soon!

We are used to staying in the top hotels all over the world so can be quite discerning with our expectations. We stayed previously a number of years ago and were keen to see how the hotel was after a recent refurb. The hotel looks fantastic and they have done a great job with the new lobby and the excellent spa and swimming pool. The rooms remain clean cut and minimalistic but cater for all your needs.
The best thing is the SERVICE. Absolutely 100%. From the moment you arrive the doormen greet you with a smile and remain keen to assist throughout your stay to the moment you leave. Kim was fabulous in resolving a minor issue with breakfast on day 1 but made sure we were properly looked after that small issue. Gemma was welcoming and very friendly and made us feel comfortable in saying hello whilst my daughter enjoyed herself at a half term special kids club organised by the hotel. The team at the Cakes and Bubbles were all welcoming and knowledgeable. I leave my 2 favourites till last - Rene and Remy !
These 2 more than made us feel at home. Professional yet personal and nothing was any trouble. Rene’s enthusiasm for his job and his beloved football team was infectious and is the best concierge I have met for a number of years. Remy personally showed me nearly every room available to make sure when we return for a long stay at Christmas we will be properly looked after. 5 star hotels are great but none make you feel special without the service. The team at the Hotel Cafe Royal deserve 6 Stars !!
Thank you all and see you all soon !!

This is an unusual review as I am writing this based on my interaction with the team at Hotel Cafe Royal so please bear with me
I chose this hotel for a surprise birthday treat for my Niece and her boyfriend and on the website I was able to book a prepaid room but not breakfast. This led me to contact them directly as I didn't want my Niece to have to pay anything when she checked out.
This is where my review starts. The staff on the reservations team could not have been more helpful. I mainly dealt with a lady called Diana and then Aleksandra. They were helpful, efficient, always got back to me and made everything so easy. They fully understood that this was a surprise and obviously needed to be a little more special for my Niece and they ensured that her stay was just that.
My Niece has nothing but high praise for the hotel and all the staff there. They were made to feel special but without being too much and have both said that the staff made them feel comfortable and welcome wherever they were in the hotel. Their stay was last week and they both thoroughly enjoyed the hotel saying that the level of cleanliness, friendliness and quality of food was exceptional. They also managed to use the Spa facilities which again they thoroughly enjoyed.
So as I stated it is an unusual kind of review however I have been so impressed with my own experience of the staff that I felt compelled to write this review. It makes things so much easier and gives you so much confidence in the choices you make when you are given so much help and good assistance from the start of your booking.
I would definitely choose this hotel and unreservedly recommend this hotel to others.
Thank you Hotel Cafe Royal for standing higher than the others it's nice to see that level of attention to detail.

We were in London for a charity ball and decided to treat ourselves and stay in London for another night and opted for Cafe Royal having stayed at the Corinthia the year before.
From the moment you set foot in this place it’s pure luxury. The staff are attentive and nothing is too much trouble. The building itself is stunning and the whole atmosphere out of this world.
The bedrooms are top class with electric curtains, comfortable beds, all the mid cons and the marble bathrooms with underfloor heating amazing.
We had lunch in the first floor bar area over looking regent street and could not fault a thing. The breakfast the following morning was the best we’d ever had.
I managed a swim in the spa area too which was lovely and relaxing.
Travelling in December made it all more special as fully decorated too.
If you want luxury and first class service, right in the heart of London, then this is the place to be.
Can’t wait to come back!!

We had a staycation here in May 2021 when things started opening up again in London. It was a perfect way to re-enter the world after months of being cooped up in our house. We chose the Westminster suite and could not have been happier. It's located on the first floor and therefore(?) has the highest ceilings. Very grand! I was a little worried that the noise would carry from Piccadilly Circus, but the room was very well insulated and amazingly quiet. And what a view! One balcony faces Piccadilly Circus, the other faces Regent Street. You are in the middle of it all yet removed from it too.
The staff are well-trained and very professional. The spa treatments were among the best I've ever had (and I'm a spa junkie!) We even got to use the pool a half-hour before it opened. Everything felt like a special treat.
The restaurant wasn't open, but we were served a generous breakfast in another space within the hotel. Years ago, before it became a hotel, the Cafe Royal used to host a lot of business meetings. My partner remembered quite a few of the public rooms from those days. It highlighted what a good job the developer did in turning the space into a luxury hotel.
I have one minor observation and one more serious bone to pick. The minor one first, and it's that the hotel could have used the lockdown to freshen the rooms a bit. We loved the Westminster suite, but it had quite a few scuff marks and could have used a fresh coat of paint.
The more serious complaint regarded the price of the suite. We rang the hotel directly because their website said we would get the best price by doing so. They quoted us a price that seemed high, and we asked if they were sure that was the best price. We were assured that it was. I then checked one of the popular travel websites and was very surprised to see the Westminster Suite offered at HALF the price we were quoted by the hotel. Of course I booked it through the travel website instead.
Despite this (rather serious) mistake, I still give the hotel top marks for service, the spa treatments, and the grandeur of the suite.

An exceptional hotel experience all round! This hotel is about as central as you can get in London. You can see Piccadilly Circus from the window of our room. I stayed here in a Grand Junior Suite with a couple of friends for a birthday in December and it was an incredible trip.
The main lobby is a beautiful welcoming area that you access from a small street off Regent Street. The breakfast area is in a gallery that looks down on the reception. The corridors have the feel of a high end Japanese hotel: all panelled in dark wood, and with little displays of antique items with explanatory plaques dotted along them. The rooms are a rather distinctive aesthetic! They can look a little like padded cells, but they have high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows, so they’re very light. The bathrooms are spectacularly decorated entirely in grey marble with a huge bath, double sink, separate toilet, and a lovely raindrop shower. The products are by Diptyque.
As it was my friend’s birthday, the hotel had left chocolates and champagne, as well as helium balloons on the bed reading ‘happy birthday’. Such a nice touch.
On the ground floor of the hotel, there is a pastry cafe called Cakes and Bubbles, run by Albert Aldrià, one of the brothers who used to run El Bulli, often rated as the best restaurant in the world. You can have their afternoon tea delivered to the room. Well worth it! Really inventive amazing treats, though expect to feel very full if you have one of the cheesecakes to yourself.
The spa/pool area is beautiful. The pool is very large for a London hotel and there are little nooks with loungers so you have a bit of space to yourself. There’s a good sized sauna and steam room.
The breakfast is one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve ever had. An amazing pastry basket with croissants, rum babas, and pain au chocolat. We had the yoghurt with berries and granola, and while that could sound quite ordinary, it was a real highlight! The granola was just delicious. As well as this, there is a full cooked breakfast menu as well, with full English, vegetarian English, as well as scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, pancakes, etc. The staff there were just so incredibly nice and friendly.

My partner and I have just had the most wonderful 3 night stay in a junior suite. From the moment we arrived we felt so relaxed, all of the staff are so friendly but attentive and professional making sure we had everything we needed at all times. We had breakfast in our room every morning which was such a treat. We tried Albert Adria’s famous cheesecake at Cakes and Bubbles on Saturday afternoon which as a chef myself I could throughly appreciate! It’s so clever and of course delicious!
We also spent some time in the spa on Sunday afternoon which was so beautifully designed and so relaxing we didn’t want to leave!
Overall it was one of the best hotels that we had ever had the pleasure of staying in, and we’ve been to a few good ones!
I would highly recommend Cafe Royal to everyone!

Stayed here recently for 3 nights. The staff are excellent in all areas of the hotel and the location of the hotel also is convenient. The rooms and bed are top class as is the spa... the only negatives I would say are the food in the room service was standard and not the same as in the restaurant and the lack of choice in the mini bar and the dour presentation of the selection is surprising for a 5 star hotel.. as I enjoy the current trend of hotels having local producers in there mini bars... but to only have a Kit Kat and a bag of British crisps in a draw was a negative and something someone has clearly overlooked.
But a top hotel.

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend break for our Wedding Anniversary — it was by far the best hotel we have ever stayed in, and the best service we have ever encountered.
The service and staff were faultless, the rooms and spa impeccably clean, and the restaurants and bars had everything we hoped for. We visited the spa every day, sometimes more than once a day, and it was really comfortable, clean and most of the time - quite private too.
In our room, we were given lovely gifts and gestures celebrating our anniversary - such as petals on the bed, and messages and chocolates around the room. The room was really spacious, bed super comfortable - and above all, everything was so clean.
We also enjoyed breakfast with our stay, which included bakery baskets, fruit platters, as well as hot meals and drinks. There are great options, and portion sizes were really generous. The staff in the restaurant, reception area, and spa were really helpful, welcoming and easy to approach. Even when we were leaving, the staff rushed to help us order our transport and take all our belongings into the car.
This hotel is one I will never forget, and we were really sad to leave. Thank you to all staff for a lovely stay, and we hope to come back again soon.

Yes for security reasons
Depends on the age of the kids and class of room that is chosen. For the less expensive rooms I would think it would be pretty tight.
Hello! I haven’t stayed at the langham but Cafe Royal is very new inside! The rooms are immaculate, and an amazing location! I’ve never seen a bathroom like it. however I’ll be honest and say the restaurants aren’t the best. Although you’re in the centre of town xx
I do believe they do you could always email them to confirm
When we stayed there, I was swimming at 8am. The gym is lovely and empty also at that time in the morning. Water and towels are provided as are earphones.
