This Comfort inn is independently run & it's clear that the current owners are genuinely motivated to run a clean & comfortable budget hotel. It is fairly basic but it is very well maintained, with comfortable beds and well appointed en suite shower rooms. The breakfast is a bit limited but there is enough there to start your day. Location wise it close to Victoria train station & about a 20 minute walk to Buckingham palace and if you don't mind a bit of a walk many of London's major tourist attractions can be reached on foot. So all in all we were happy with the hotel considering it's low cost & good location.

I have to disagree with some of the other reviews here, we stayed for one night (cost £85) and the room was small but easily big enough for a double bed and a single, with a small ante room for luggage. The bathroom was tiny but quite quaint in its way and for a one night stay was more than acceptable. Room on the ground floor and was quiet. Staff extremely helpful and courteous.

Read the reviews a couple of months ago and saw nothing that would stop me staying at the Comfort Inn Victoria. Upon arrival, we noticed there was no ice. When we asked, we were told there was nothing available. We got a bag of ice every day during our stay at St George’s Tavern next door to ice an injury. All the restaurants we asked for ice were incredulous that any hotel would not have ice. No idea why the Comfort Inn does not but the fact is - it has no ice or vending machines anywhere. Need a cold drink on a hot, hot day? Go somewhere else. Our friends tried to find refrigerator or ice to store medication that had to stay chilled and were finally allowed to store in the food refrigerator in the breakfast area.

Other cons: 1) not a single wash cloth. 2) The bathroom door did not close. 3) The bed was lumpy with a heavy comforter inside a duvet cover - no other bedding available. 4) The shower door only opened inward and because it was so tight, a larger person would not be able to shower in our room. 5) The TV could only be seen in one of the 2 bedrooms and when operable by the remote, it pixilated badly . 6) No water was available except bathroom tap water (funny taste) without asking staff to go get us one which they graciously honored - but still you had to go to the main desk to ask. 7) The wireless internet was very spotty and kicked us out in the middle of doing a live Covid test. We could not do the test privately in our rooms because poor internet reception. Extremely frustrating!! 8) The breakfast was skimpy with the same foods every.single.day. Breakfast consisted of cold cereals, unpeeled boiled eggs, toast w/butter and jelly, yogurt, mystery meat with cheese, croissants, and various room temperature drinks. 9). The toilet paper was thin and poor quality. 10) Although our receipt says we earned our rewards points for the stay, 2 days later they still have not appeared on our account.

Pros: Great location near restaurants, pubs, and 1 1/2 blocks from Victoria Station. The lady cleaning the breakfast area replenished very timely and cleaned tables promptly. The man cleaning the rooms was very kind and did a great job. In fact, the 2 star rating is because the staff working at this hotel was wonderful to us. I think the hotel’s problems are due to a cheap owner who is very lucky to have a great staff working for him.

Unfortunately our travel agency booked this hotel for us with no previous experiences from other guests . We spent 4 days and 4 nights and we had many problems during our stay. At arrival, we were informed that the room we booked with 2 single beds was not available and we had to stay in a different room and share a bed that was not big nor comfortable. Apparently they accept more bookings for double rooms than they actually can provide and we have seen 5 other guests with the same problem. We were put on a waiting list for the room we had paid for previously!
Apparently there are not enough people working in this hotel since the reception was usually empty, making it hard to ask for information, request services/items for our room and it gave us the impression that anyone could walk in and enter the room areas. Often the housekeeping wouldn’t provide us with items like towels and toilet paper and forgot to take the rubbish out. The safe was not functional and the receptionist owned some sort of general key that could easily open the safe, and that seemed very odd. The room carpet was dirty and dusty. The front street was very noisy and windows couldn’t block the noise nor curtains could prevent lights from coming in since they were very thin.
One good thing I can say about our stay would be the breakfast, which was included… A clean space, even decorated with local tourist spots. Not many items as expected for this type of hotel, but there were yogurts, bread, a toaster, cheese, ham, a coffee machine, so it was reasonable to start the day.

I'm gutted I've had to do this but not received any response from the hotel in regards to my complaint.
The comfort inn is a nice basic hotel what let's it down is the lack of staff. I booked 2 rooms mlfor Friday to the Monday for my husband, myself and son in one and my 2 daughters in the other, on the Saturday morning our daughters toilet became blocked they reported to reception where they was told there was nothing they could do due to no cleaners and that my daughter should come use our toilet ( good job they wasn't there alone then) we wasn't leaving till the Monday so not a great start, secondly due to no cleaners our rooms where not replenished or cleaned the whole weekend. Bins full the lot. I have tried to email the hotel but have not received any communication at all very poor

Small room (116) but ample enough for one person. The bed was a bit hard and I could feel the springs (a mattress topper might help). The cleaning left a lot to be desired and when my neighbours showered, the water came up in to my shower. There was no teaspoon with the tea/coffee stuff. It's an old room that is showing signs of wear and tear - it smelt a bit damp too. Best shower ever and the AC was a godsend!

Booked in for one night to visit the Chelsea Flower Show which was an easy 20 min walk away. Also an excellent location for Victoria station.

Room and bathroom were modern and clean (loved the laminate flooring so no carpet). Room was well equipped with air con, extra pillows, safe, iron and board, wardrobe and dressing table with mirror and plugs, also nice to have opening windows for fresh air.

Reception staff were welcoming and friendly and there was a room to leave your luggage although it was self service so I wouldn’t leave anything of significant value.

The only reason for 4 and not 5 stars was the size of the beds. They were only a double and seemed very short (I am 5ft 10 and my feet hung off the end when lying down). There was plenty of room around the bed in our room so it was a shame they hadn’t put in queen beds.

When we arrived at the hotel someone was already complaining at the desk about how dirty the room was and how she was leaving the hotel to go to another. When we arrived to our room we had the same problem and had to be changed rooms for our 3 night stay. We was based in room 100 and it was smelly, had damp on the walls, dirty tap and toilet also the headboard was hanging off, as it was a basement room it had a back door to the alleyway based in the room which was locked but still not pleasant to have. We did move rooms which was a lot better then the first.

I stayed at this hotel twice over separate bookings they were two separate rooms.

They dont hold luggage overnight, they send you across the road to pay for this.
Staff are lovely. And offer paid late checkout perfect for a late flight.

Their was also hotel renovations going on.

Breakfast is average. But nice.

Rooms were a decent size. They looked to be recently renovated.

Room/Stay one, had no lift access, small narrow stairs and to navigate laundry and other bits on the floor. It was a large room, big enough for two. Comfy bed and working AC. Very limited natural light was the down side. Room was quiet mainly cause it was in the "dungeons "

Room/Stay two was slightly smaller then room one. But decent size. Had lift access and at the beginning of staff no obstacles to access room. The AC didn't work, It was warm enough to warrant it. One room had a comfortable bed, the other was not at all and springs were felt, had to sleep half on the quilt/doona and cover myself with the over half to avoid feeling the springs. The room had a window but was dark, next to no natural light. Room was quiet except when noisey guests decided to hold conversations out the front of room at 3am! End of stay renovations on this floor started and the obstacles to get in or out of room was difficult. They were painting and fixing lights. I understand this has to be done. Perhaps don't book guests on that floor or cheaper rates. It was not noted when booked that rensos were happening during my stay.

Location wise is great 1 Min to Victoria station, restaurants, pubs and supermarkets all minutes or seconds away. 10 minutes to Buckingham Palace. And walking distance to the major tourist attractions.

Dear Ozinlondon08, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback about your recent stay with us. We genuinely appreciate your input as it helps us to improve our services and the overall guest experience. We're pleased to hear you found the size of Room/Stay two decent and appreciated the lift access. However, it's unfortunate that the air conditioning didn't work, and I apologize for any discomfort this caused. Rest assured, we'll investigate this issue to ensure it's properly addressed. It's great to hear that you found our location convenient and that it was close to various amenities and attractions. We are indeed fortunate to be situated in such a vibrant and accessible area of the city. We hope you would consider staying with us again in the future. Warm regards, Kamila Borkowska General Manager

The hotel is in a great location so that is a plus. However, the room is small, the beds are hard, the employees are not very helpful (except the breakfast room staff) and it is over priced. The breakfast was adequate - cereal, toast, lunchmeat, cheese, pancakes, hardboiled eggs, etc. I would stay in another hotel near this same location next time I'm in London.

Easiest and cheapest way is to catch the tube (Piccadilly line) from Heathrow to Earls Court, then change to District line. Get off at Victoria tube station and it's a 5 minute walk.

Although it is very close to Victoria Station, I don't think I would feel safe walking late at night. The area around the hotel seemed OK and I felt safe enough around Victoria Station in the daytime, just not after dark when crowds are thin.
