We arrived at 10.30a.m to leave our cases before heading out. The very helpful staff checked if there was a room ready but there wasn't. We returned at 12 noon to change for a restaurant booking so we asked for our cases as they said we could change in the toilet. They did however find us a room and checked us in early. The rooms are very small but frankly we only wanted to sleep and shower for 2 days so was sufficient at a very good price in such an excellent location. The tool was very clean, with a comfy bed, good air con and lovely white towels. Every member of staff was ver helpful and super friendly. If you are literally looking for a cheap hotel with a shower and a bed with no frills this is it.

Stayed here for 1 night. From arriving to check out it was exemplary. Lovely room, clean minimalistic design but with everything you need, and all high quality fittings etc. Large TV with all channels. There is a central panel for lights, TV , window blind & AC etc which worked well..We had a room over looking the Strand, and never heard any road noise as the rooms are sound proofed, in fact the only noise we heard at all was showers running. Great comfy beds with good linen and luxury feather pillows, also good white fluffy towels. Very good house keeping. Breakfast was excellent, great bacon roll & pot of Tea for £5 and service with a smile! We left our bags to pick up later , no problems with this at all. Z Hotels are great for a theatre break or sight seeing visit. Certainly the way forward for us. Well done Z hotels, your staff are a credit to you!

What a little gem of a find this hotel was!! Clean, comfortable rooms and excellent value for money!

We stayed here as we attended back to the future at the Adelphi theatre right next door, what a treat it was to leave after the show ended and arrive at our beds straight away.

The hotel chain has nailed the compact hotel idea, comfy beds, spotlessly clean, complimentary tea, coffee, water and high spec tv. The rooms are very small (part of the unique selling point) but that’s ok because they are cleverly thought out so you can stash any bags out the way under the bed and hang clothes on the walls. Staff were very welcoming and are available round the clock if you need anything. We were also pleasantly surprised after paying for a room without a window to be put in a room with a window which is usually more expensive.

Honestly wouldn’t hesitate to stay in a Z hotel again, really impressed by my stay.

We booked the Hotel in February for our stay in December for £80. We didn’t expect much for the money as this was the cheapest hotel we found in this part of London for our trip to the Palladium . We were able to drop our bag off early at 11am so we Counc go around London and have lunch before checking in. We came back around 2pm and had a short wait until our room was ready so we made use of the bar area. When we got into our room (101) we were taken aback at how modern the whole room was , with a large tv at the end of the bed a large comfortable double bed and a large toilet/shower area, with a really modern shower. True enough with how the rooms are laid out I has to climb over the bed to get out of bed but I managed that ok …I’m 61 lol. We do want to attend next years Panto again at the Palladium on 23/12/23 but see we’d now have to pay £500 and not the £80 we’ve just paid!!!! Very disappointing. This will mean we won’t return at those prices …we’re not silly, and will have to rush for a train home or see the matinee . Anyway thank you for this current stay , it was great

Booked this hotel on a whim, at the last minute as I suddenly needed to stay overnight in London. I booked online a few hours before I arrived. At just £50 for a night in a central London hotel on the Strand, I was not expecting much but this was such an enormous surprise!
Rooms are small but perfect for a quick trip, comfy bed and good TV, smart capabilities etc. Tea, coffee and water all in the room + shampoo, body wash and a hairdryer, as well as plenty of towels. I really couldn't believe how comfortable it was. There is no wardrobe but there are couple of hooks to hang a coat and bag. You can control all the lights, temperature and blinds from the same place and it's all pretty self-explanatory. My room was on the 6th floor and had a really nice view over some London rooftops of Covent Garden.
The room was also very quiet and I slept brilliantly with no disruption.
Breakfast is paid separately if you want it, there is not a huge selection but it's only £5 and it's handy to have the option. Check out is fuss free, you just put your card in the box.
Wi-fi also very speedy.
Honestly I can't really find fault, I will definitely be staying again. I would only think twice if I needed a room where I could work as there isn't really space for desk/laptop in the small rooms.
If you sign up to their member scheme you get 7.5% off your next bookings.

Dear VikkiJane90 Glad to see you enjoyed our special prices in December 2021 in such an ideally central location. We are delighted to read that our rooms went beyond your expectations and that you had such a lovely experience with us here. I am also happy to see that you like our smart controls for the rooms lights and window blinds and you found them easy to use and what a nice view you must have had over from your room in the sixth floor, it is only a 6 floors high building but in the Covent Garden area its lovely to be able to see over the classical rooftops of this old city. Obviously our rates have gone up since 2021 during the restricted measures but we have updated our website since then and our guests who sign up in our website immediately get 10% discount and a complimentary drink every night of their stay! We would love to see you back with us in the future! Kind regards Nicoleta Panaguta Cluster Manager

We stayed here for 1 night in December when attending the Back to the Future Musical in the Adelphi Theatre which is next door. For us, the hotel location was excellent and only a short walk into Soho / Covent Garden etc which is full of restaurants, bars, theatres, cinemas etc.

The reception staff were friendly and checked us in promptly.

Me and my friend booked our own rooms and I am glad we did because the rooms are very compact. It's fine for 1 person with not much luggage but I can't imagine it's particularly comfortable for 2 people. We noticed a couple who were staying in 1 room that had 2 huge suitcases and if their room was similar to the ones we had, then I can't imagine they had much space to move around. The only "storage" we found in the room was some hangers.

The rooms did have a nice big TV which included all the sports and movie channels from Sky / BT. The focus seems to be on tech here - the blinds, lights etc are all controlled from a series of switches located near your bed. The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable.
The shower was nice - good temperature and water pressure. Wi-fi was free with no password required to connect.

Overall, this was a pleasant experience for a short stay and ideally located for the Adelphi Theatre next door. However, I would not recommend the room for anyone wanting spacious rooms as the compact design means there is not much extra space. It's fine for a short stay / individuals I would say.

Dear Ifty1987, Thank you for staying at the Z Hotel Strand and for taking the time to leave such a kind review. We are delighted to read that you had such a lovely stay and that our location was ideal for your visit to watch Back to the Future in the Adelphi theatre right next door to us. We appreciate that you mention that you and your friend really liked the high end technology design of our rooms. As you see the focus in our design is not the size of the space, but the smart use of it. If anything, being in such a central location we want to have a nice and comfortable space for as many of the city travellers as possible, and glad to see that you enjoyed your selves as much! We will be very happy to see you back again with us in (to) the future! Kind reagrds, Nicoleta Panaguta Cluster Manager

We arrived in Westminster around 12pm and our room was all ready for us meaning we didn't have to hang around till the usual check in time of 3pm and was able to dump our bags and crack on. The room was spotless and the staff were ultra friendly. Along with the cleanliness of the room the staff were excellent!! All in all out experience of Z Hotel was "A" star and the next time we visit it will definitely be at the top of our list of places to stay if available. Thanks a million!!! Loved it!!!

Staying overnight for a show. This was a great little place, in an ideal location. Rooms are tiny, but well equipt and thoughtfully laid out (plug next to a mirror, USB ports). Staff are friendly and helpful, and there 24hrs. I wouldn't want to stay longer than 1 night as a couple, but ideal for overnight or as a single.

Amazing hotel right in a top location right in the middle of theatreland. Accessed from the street via a small alleyway, it leads onto a small reception area and a small cafe selling well priced snacks and hot drinks, The rooms are tiny, one up from a Pod hotel maybe, but supremely comfortable and ideal for one person for three nights. Two large people may have had space issues, but for me, a lone traveller, it was perfect. The hotel staff are friendly, and very helpful; just what you needed to see after a long stressful journey. Thanks so much for a perfect stay.

Special call out for the most comfortable bed I have slept in a long time, and the bacon rolls in the café were delicious. :)

This was the first time I had used this chain of hotels and thought it would be basic but surprised at the truly wonderful room and compact and so clean. The shower was a delight as were the comfortable bed.

The staff are second to none and enjoyed the food as well in the morning that is also very reasonably priced.

A walk to the sights of London or in my case a short walk to BAFTA and then the Southbank for the National Theatre, but it is easy for all London's main attractions.

James, there are really good bars very close. The eating area is pleasent for a quick stop - it's not a bar and you wouldn't want to stay tthere. Try the Nell Gwynne and The Porter House both 2 mins away amongst many others.

Piccadilly line (dark blue on the map of the underground train service) to South Kensington. Then change onto the district (green) or circle (yellow) line to embankment. 2 minute walk from embankment to the hotel.
