I stayed at Hub by Premier Inn Shoreditch for 7 Nights. It was a vacation planned for East End of London. I always had a good experience at any Premier Inn, so I intentionally chose their budget friendly spin-off to assess how they pulled this off. Well after my stay, I can ensure everyone that Hub is role model of how a budget hotel should be operated. This is how my stay went;

The Hotel is located at 1-2 min walking distance from Shoreditch Overground Station, at short walk to Box Park, Old Spitalfields Market, Brick Lane and Liverpool Street Station. I arrived around evening and received a welcoming fast check-in, I was in my room within 5 minutes. I was given a room in basement, this was initially a concern for me but after I entered my room, I got over it. Obviously, I wasn't staying at Shoreditch for scenic views, so lack of windows to look outside didn't bother me. I have to add that I booked 'Bigger room' for my stay as small rooms make me depress. The bigger room is appropriately sized and as good as a standard Premier Inn room. I did have look at a Hub standard room while passing through the corridor when house keeping staff was cleaning it. For me, Hub standard rooms are very small and moving space is tight, but if you want to save more Quid and size doesn't bother you, just got for it.

For keeping room prices low, room tea kettle system has been omitted here, though you can have complementary tea and coffee at lounge bar any time. There are 2 coffee machines and tea, coffee, milk etc all is provided. This is a smart budget cutting move by Premier Inn which lowers price of rooms yet providing same facility at a collective point. I also found it socially engaging as I had chats with many guests while sharing coffee space with them.

As for toilets, the amenities, size and shower quality is same as any Premier Inn, no budget cutting or experiments in that area. Beds are comfy, Bigger room has enough space to keep your luggage and move freely. Standard TV is provided and there is light switching touch system on head of bed which is quite interesting. Sound proofing of my room was excellent.

As for the staff, my stay was longer enough to get across all of them. To give the Hub fresh youth image, most of them are very young. Some are very friendly, others do their job well and answer queries very professionally to the book. I found only one member a bit bored and borderline arrogant but on the whole he was not bothering enough to effect my stay. House keeping staff I found very nice, though Hub rule is that you have to inform at reception before 12pm on the day you need your room done.

Lobby bar in Hub has great prices and better than any Premier Inn related bar I have tried.

Overall, Hub concept delivers for many. If you are looking for a budget place with cleanliness and facilities matching any 3-3.5 star hotel. don't hesitate to book here. Or if you are a last minute person and planning vacation during a ceremonial/public holiday when all London hotel prices touch the sky, you will find Hub to solve your problem with prices very reasonable even for last minute bookings. Hats off Premier Inn, you really serve UK people and visitors with generosity.

Great first time experience staying at a Hub Premier Inn (Shoreditch). Great location, really warm and welcoming staff, felt really safe and room was spotless and very quiet. Would definately stay again.

I stayed here in two rooms with three friends for a birthday trip in London and it couldn't have been any better! We paid for the 'bigger room' which has more space around the bed / for luggage etc which was definitely worth it, and as with all Hub by Premier Inns, the whole building/room was very stylishly decorated, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Staff were super friendly and helpful (the receptionist even gave me some safety pins to help when my blazer broke!) so really can't recommend it enough. 5* all round.

We booked this place based purely on price and location. We knew we weren't going to be spending much time in any hotel we were in, so just wanted to have a good enough room to sleep in.

However, My wife and I were genuinely surprised by how far this the Hub in Shoreditch exceeded our expectations - somehow this place turned out to be one of the best hotels we have stayed in in a while. The location was amazing; the facilities all seemed brand new, thoughtful and well kept; there were staff available at all waking hours; the room was larger, better equipped, more modern and comfier than expected; There were thoughtful design touches everywhere; potentially loud groups seemed to be located in separate areas to couples, meaning it was extremely quiet; and all this for one of the cheapest prices in London.

We weren't sure what to expect on arrival as lots of mixed reviews. Speaking from our experience, check in was easy, and we could get into our rooms earlier than the 3.00pm. The room was comfortable clean on the whole ( except an issue with one of the pillows which had a stain on the case, but on reporting to reception house manager was at our room within minutes and provided a new one, very apologetic and embarrassed) Shower was the best thing. Quilt cover didn't fit, but it wasn't a big issue for one night stay. They need to pay more notice to the bookings, as we had large double room booked for two people yet we only had one set of towels and one water bottle. Wifi in the room was a bit hit and miss. As other reviewers have said, it would be good to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room, as it's pain to have to go down to reception. All the staff were friendly, and yes we would return again.

Booked an overnight stay here as it was ideally located for the Van Gogh Immersive Experience, and am so glad that I did. Easy to get to from King's Cross on the 205 bus (get off at Commercial Street/Worship Street stop and 5 minute walk from there). For one night it was perfect. Yes the rooms are compact, I'd recommend booking one of the 'bigger rooms' and I don't think that my husband could have coped with anything smaller. However the layout is well thought out. There is a desk and a comfy chair and adequate storage space for clothes. Good bathroom, toiletries, huge comfy bed. good towels, complimentary water. And then there's the technology, a 40 inch smart tv and the convenience of being able to control lighting and air con from your headboard. The public areas are very nice. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Prices for food and drink were great. As we checked in we were informed that they serve drink and a limited menu of food until 3am! Complimenatary tea and coffee are available in the lounge area throughout your stay. Breakfast was only ÂŁ7 and got brownie points from me for perfect, firm scrambled eggs and sausages cooked all the way round. If you can get your head around the size of the room, this new, attractive, well equipped hotel delivers excellent value for money. And you'll get the best price if you are able to book early. When I originally looked it was ÂŁ86 (for a Friday night) but when I finally booked it was ÂŁ114.50 which was still excellent value for the date, location and facilities.

Amazing staff. The rooms were nice and clean, a bit on the small side but for the cost you really can’t complain! The thing that made this stay great was the attentive staff! Daniel particularly was amazing. My wife has a gluten allergy and Daniel couldn’t have been more helpful. He made sure we were aware of what items my wife could have, and despite it being a buffet style breakfast, he offered to have the food cooked separately with freshly washed utensils, and when brought her out individually hand-washed knife and fork to minimise any risk of contamination. The staff were also really helpful the night of our stay, especially when we were trying to get a cheeky late-night dominos order in (to soak up the cocktails we’d had down the road!). All in all, for the low prices, this was an absolute bargain considering the amazing customer service we had here. Will definitely look to stay here again when back in the area! Thanks

My first hub experience, it's a Premier Inn with a modern touch. Compact all-in-one rooms with showers separated from the room by a glass wall, which is not an issue if traveling alone. Unlike premier inns there’s No kettle in room, but there's coffee and tea available throughout in the bar. You actually get 2 bottles of water free of charge. The duvet is a nice surprise all rolled up and fresh.
Location great for exploring. Highly recommended!

We had a great stay at the premier inn hub at Shoreditch. We’ve stayed before and would again, it’s within a 15 minute stroll of Liverpool Street station so has great transport links. There are good amenities within the area with some pubs, places to eat and coffee! The hotel had everything we needed with a comfy bed and a hot shower. Check in was easy and although not available until 3 when we arrived early we could use the communal lounge and made use of the complimentary hot drinks until our room was available. We booked breakfast for both mornings we were there and there’s a good selection of hot and cold breakfast items. Check out isn’t until 12 which is nice as you don’t feel rushed to leave. Rooms are compact but not too small, it’s good value for money for somewhere to base yourselves for a few days away.

I booked my Premier Inn room in Shoreditch, London online only to be directed to their new Hub style hotel.
Having stayed at the Premier inn before it was a pleasant surprise to stay at one of their hubs.
On arrival I was greeted by one of the staff at the reception desk.
First impression was contemporary, modern and stylish.
There is a restaurant on the ground floor.
I was booked in on the 4th floor, all corridors have thick plush carpets. On arrival I used one of the two entry cards to open my door.
I was met with a clean, stylish contemporary room
and stylish bathroom.
The rooms are not very big with a desk, tv wardrobe and double bed all within close distance of one another.
These rooms are ideal for one or two maximum for business or pleasure.
The bathroom had a shower, sink and toilet with a small cupboard which contained a bin.
The shower consisted of a standard shower plus a huge " monsoon " shower, which was superb plenty of hot water with great pressure.
The double bed was firm ( which I like) and very comfortable along with the pillows. On the headboard there is a digital control panel for air control / heat and lighting.
All in all a good experience.
Plus points: Bed, Shower, lighting/ air con panel , hairdryer, stylish lighting.
Bad points: None except..No tea or coffee making facilities in room. Although I read online there is complementary drinks in foyer..I wasn't told of this.

It's 3pm but they sometimes let you in a bit earlier. They will store bags securely if you want to leave and come back for check in. Free tea and coffee in cafe/lounge if early and want to wait around/meet anyone.
