- The hotel staff advised us upon check-in we had a room with a bathroom as we requested, however, we could move to a higher floor if we would like after our first night. We appreciated this to attention to detail. The room was spacious, quiet, had a fridge, kettle, ironing board and iron, all of which we needed, so this was ideal. The hotel is a short walk from Kilburn underground with a Tesco, Sainsburys and Starbucks nearby, enabling us to pick up some breakfast.

·- The room had temperature control however it was unclear how to set this, as initially the room was very hot, then air conditioned. We were required to pay a returnable £50 deposit upon check in, which we decided to do in cash due to a long delay received from other hotels when paid by card.

We had an overnight stay at the Marriott and found the rooms to be well proportioned and clean.

The hotel benefits from a relatively central connection with Kilburn Park Underground station being a short 5 minute walk away.

On a further positive note, the beds were comfortable and the room decoration tasteful; we were however only provided with two complimentary bottles of lukewarm mineral water alongside some very basic instant coffee sachets and tea bags with single use cartons of UHT milk (I'd have expected far better quality produce from the Marriott) .

We were also left very disappointed and felt misled after discovering the lack of swimming pool on site. Despite the Marriott website making reference to the swimming pool being 'on site' it most certainly is not.

Guests who wish to use the pool are directed to the nearby Bannatyne health club with the assurance that use of the pool and gymnasium are free for Marriott guests; on entering the health club the pool was found to be most unimpressive; the pool was very small and was very dark with little natural lighting; we did not make use of the pool or any other facilities and were left feeling most disappointed.

There is an Italian restaurant (a well known branded chain) on site, located adjacent to the lobby, however we chose not to dine there.

Overall, a very mediocre and average hotel; we will not be stayimg here again.

I'd recommend someone avoid this one if possible as I am sure there is better accommodation to be found.

One of the best, nicest Marriott's I have ever stayed in. Excellent location. Room was large by UK standards. King sized bed and plenty of lighting. Lots of storage space. Nice size refrigerator. All the outlets you will ever need including 115V for US users. Bathroom was exceptional. Plenty of space and over sized towels. Housekeeping was attentive to keeping the room spotless. We had 2 rooms for 11 consecutive nights.

Two drawbacks to be aware of. Very large flatscreen TV with plenty of news channels BUT not one sports network. And in the bathroom you should request a room with a walk-in shower unless you absolutely need a tub. We had one room each with the two configurations. One with the tub required a high step to get in and was cramped.

Overall excellent marks for this property. We would book again the next time we are visiting our family in London.

It didn’t start great with just one person welcoming check in. This took over 15 minutes. The room is big, for London, although this location is a good 20 minutes drive or 20 minutes tube into central London. There is not a hire bar as such, just an attached restaurant with bar which is slow, cold and unwelcoming. I waited 15 minutes to be served with no one else in the property. The hotel is quite out of the way location wise and for the price, you’re able to find much better accommodation closer to London. The staff I engaged with are not rude, as such, but they seem ‘not bothered’ and this comes across as rude. In summery, better hotels closer to central London. It would be OK to stay here if you needed to be near Maida Vale or St John Wood.

Booked in for 5 nights with my partner and 11 year old. The room was a bit pokey and dark (the advertising pictures looked light and airy), but we could live with that until on our 2nd night someone was put in the adjoining room talking late at night on loud speaker full volume for 2 hours keeping us awake. We decided not to report it the following morning as we couldn't be bothered with the inconvenience of packing up and changing room. The next night the same happened again. Why the hotel put us in adjoining room is beyond me? We reported it to reception this time and Agnese (who was very apologetic and professional) switched our room. We packed up and moved. The new room was pretty grotty, loads of marks on the table, broken fridge. So we reported we weren't happy with the condition of the room. Agnese found another room and arranged for our bags and snacks/drinks to be moved whilst we were out for the day, the room we were moved to was considerably better. She also gave us free breakfast for the remainder of our stay. We got back to the hotel around 8pm that night (10 hours later) to find our luggage had been moved but all of our items out of the fridge had been left, our snacks, wine and towelling robes. We called reception (didn't catch their name) who didn't apologise in any way, they were actually quite abrupt and rude and said they'd get the porter to move the things they forgot. 25 mins later still no sign of our things. Bare in mind we'd been out for 10 hours traipsing round London, (still had to unpack our cases after switching rooms) and just wanted to unwind with a bath and glass of wine. Called reception again, still no apology, pretty much laughed when we said we were still waiting. Finally almost 1 hour after getting back we got out snacks and drinks back. The remainder of our stay was fine, the breakfast was nice enough but not sure I'd pay the prices they charge as the cooked breakfast was luke warm, but as ours was free I can't complain. I wouldnt stay again, the area whilst handy was not great (note this is the Kilburn Park tube, not Maida Vale). I've stayed in better hotels for the money/cheaper for a similar standard. A shame as we thought by paying the extra we'd get a much better standard.

As one of the cheaper Marriotts in London i knew the hotel would be quite basic so i wasnt expecting too much. The room was simple but well designed, i liked the oversized bathroom towels and the room was very comfortable. I'm a titanium Bonvoy member so i got a complimentary upgrade to an executive room which is still a pretty small room but it wasnt too bad. There is no minibar snacks in room and the fridge is empty. Apparently they have a club lounge usually but it was not open fort some reason, so they gave me a voucher to use at the restaurant in the lobby. I tried to use this coupon one morning, but was then told that it was only valid after 12pm for some snacks, meats and cheeses and drinks. i tried the same voucher a few days later, and was seated at the lobby restaurant, but was then told i was only allowed olives or bread and that the meat and cheese snacks that i was previously told i was entitled to, was no longer part of the deal. This type of service is just unpleasant, its shows its true colors as a cheap hotel, that is just cheap on many levels. I spend 85+ nights a year at Marriott hotels and this is definitely one of the most average Marriott's I've stayed at.

Beautiful hotel! Very helpful and friendly staff. The restaurant has a great selection on the menu and very good, tasty food. The front desk was very helpful in helping us get our rooms earlier than check in time. Breakfast is has a huge selection and was quick enough so that we could get on the road to the hotel.
The Tube is right around the corner which was helpful for our trip the FA Cup final. The rooms are well insulated for noise as we had neighbors who were quite loud. Once we got into the room, it was hardly noticeable.
We requested a taxi to Heathrow for the following morning and we were delighted that the taxi was awaiting us when we asked.
Rooms were very clean, well stocked with towels, linens, extras, etc. The TV was a good size for the room and the lights were appropriately dispersed and very helpful. We loved the layout and vibe of the room.
We would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again!

We came to the Marriott Maida Vale as we were seeing a show in London. It is around 30 minutes from Piccadilly Circus on the Bakerloo Line, then a six minute walk from Kilburn Park Station to the hotel.

On entering the hotel the reception were really pleasant and helpful, acknowledged the Bonvoy Status and proceeded to provide room details. The room was spacious and provided a comfortable base for the one night. The room was of the updated Marriott upgrade and was in good condition with all furniture and furnishing being spotless without marks or scuffing, the carpets were clean also. The bed and linens were to the normally expected standard with a really comfortable bed with crisp fresh linen, I had an excellent nights sleep. The bathroom was small, however, updated with the new style walk in shower and large soft towels. Again, the hotel had L'Occitan toiletries, which were really nice. This is the second hotel we have experienced this in the past couple of months, so it’s possible Marriott have created a partnership with L'Occitan, which is a positive. The room air con was quiet and worked efficiently.

Breakfast was good with a wide selection of the normal expectation of hot and cold necessities, with it all looking and tasting fresh. The restaurant for breakfast is the same as the restaurant that is used for the “Carluccio's” restaurant and is quite a small space, which lead to quite a compacted area for breakfast, as there were a lot of people eating at the time we went down. The staff in the restaurant could not be faulted as they worked hard to keep the tables clear and ready for new guests when they arrived. I feel this aspect should be complemented as in some hotels the tables are not cleared quickly enough but the staff here were excellent.

Overall, an excellent and comfortable stay and would fully recommend if you are visiting London.

Good hotel for a London base but very disappointed with the breakfast and parking charges.

I booked the hotel for a family holiday to London, the 1st week we stopped at the marriot Heathrow and the 2nd week we stayed at this hotel. I paid extra for an executive room so we could have access to the executive lounge and upon check in we discovered that the loge was closed but we were given a free breakfast. Unfortunately we didn’t really want the breakfast and specifically booked the room for the lounge, we did this with the marriot Heathrow and the lounge gives you opinions outside of your room. We usually take games and sit in the lounge on a night and play with the children.

For the price I paid for the hotel and parking I could have picked a hotel in central London and still have cash to spare.

Very disappointed and explained this to the receptionist and never got any response.

Rooms are good and very clean, but unfortunately I won’t be using Marriot again after this experience, I feel really disappointed and short changed.

The location is good and the room renovation is rather recent thus still in a good order BUT the hotel is severely under staff and/or lack of management supervision.

The staff are making the best but;

1) when I checked in there was only 1 front desk lady thus it was bit waiting and she forgot to give me voucher due to the closure of the exe lounge. she is lovely but just lack of staff
2) no concierge so I had to move all my bags myself otherwise it would be waiting the front desk staff available to bring my bags
3) breakfast is decent but lack of staff (and staff training). Waiting staff does not mop tables and refresh cutlery. When I asked for one set after I sat down the staff simply gave me a set from another table! I wasn’t even sure those are clean and there is something called Covid!
4) housekeeping standard is not there…one day they would replenish certain things another day they won’t. Forget to empty bin here and there.

I understand it has a lot to do with staff shortage but it could be improved with better management and supervision. This hotel has a good potential but needs better management.
