Zedwell Piccadilly Circus hotel is celebrated for its prime location, making it a favorite for guests looking to explore the city and its attractions. While some guests commend the hotel for its cleanliness and comfortable beds, others have experienced rooms that didn't meet their cleanliness standards. The hotel's additional fees for essentials have led to mixed opinions on the value offered. Noise from the nightlife often permeates the atmosphere, and service quality varies, with several guests facing challenges with responsiveness and consideration.

I Stayed in this new hotel because I wanted to be in the heart of London. Inexpensive, comfortable, clean & quiet. No windows or desk in room. The toilet & shower doors don't lock & can be visible by others in room. The frosted glass provides some privacy but just be aware that if you are sharing a room that your roommate could easily see into the toilet or shower area.

The bed is very comfortable. Only problem is it's low to the ground and I had to scoot to the end of the bed to get up. Not a big issue for most. The rainfall shower was amazing. Lots of water pressure and the hot/cold settings were great.

The location is perfect. Only steps from the Piccadilly Underground station and the famous fountain at Piccadilly Circus. It was a challenge finding the location as the sign was small and the address had no number. My cab couldn't find it but my GPS (SAT NAV) got my really close. I had to call the hotel and I was right next door at the Five Guys restaurant.

Dear realtraveltips, Thank you for you staying with us and for taking the time to leave us a nice review. We glad you highlighted our location, comfortable beds, and quiet rooms as they are core tenets of our new hotel concept. We are also quite proud of our rainfall showers and easy controls. We are aware our current signage leaves something to be desired and it will be updated soon as we open more of the hotel. I hope we get a chance to welcome you back to the hotel again in the near future. Kind regards, Zedwell Piccadilly Team

Brought the whole family for a stay in the heart of London in an 8 person (4 double bunk beds) room.

No windows, think monastic cell for the concept, albeit with a more luxurious finish.

IMHO, If you come to London and you do so to sit in a hotel room, you are doing something wrong.

You might be concerned about the ‘monastic cell’ approach, but it works because the rooms are well ventilated and clean if very basic. My wife thinks too basic, but I think spot on as a wonderfully central base to work from in the World’s greatest city.

So, the idea of a quiet, clean, well done sleeping space makes sense to me. On that basis, Zedwell is a brilliant concept, but the execution is mixed: the wet room toilet/shower door did not close, a 3-4’ gap with the wall remains so you’d better be very comfortable with using the toilet in earshot of the family!

The toilet (and those in the public area) are set for people at least 6”6’ in height. It was a struggle for me to use at 6”1’; for my young children it was awful.

One toilet/shower for 8 (7 in our room) is also a little tough. We ended up using the toilets in the basement, which to be fair were clean and well looked after.

Beds are OK: single pillows with no options for more in the room. Didn’t help that the duvets on our beds got very bunched up inside an oversize cover.

WiFi was excellent, so for what what we paid (£810 for a family of 7) in the heart of Piccadilly, a short walk from Soho, London Eye, Trafalgar Square, etc etc, it’s a very good all round package.

Lively and relaxed atmosphere as you walk in, staff were uniformly and consistently lovely. Even the non front of house staff were kind and helpful. In fact, every staff member I dealt with was so nice I feel bad being honest about the deficiencies of my experience.

Will possibly come again, but likely taking two rooms of 4 rather than 1 of 8 next time.

The location is right next to Piccadilly Circus corner . It’s a small entrance door but a huge new and clean hotel. It’s quirky , the rooms are minimalist with lots of oak and tile decor, there is no table, chair, tv, etc . It’s a bed and a bathroom basically. The bed is very low and virtually on the floor , the rainfall shower and bathroom with light up heated mirror is excellent. There is a small café downstairs for tea/coffee and snacks, you can store your luggage for £5 a room if arriving early. I would stay again due to the cleanliness and location but don’t expect the usual hotel facilities such as tea/coffee making, iron, wardrobe, table, chair, hairdryer etc (although I understand a hairdryer can be hired for a price) . Check in and out can be done online or at the desk or DIY on the check in computers .

The hotel was great, very modern with an exclusive feel to it. The location was fantastic, in between Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus - a short walk to everywhere! Check-in was a breeze with the iPads and even hand sanitiser which in the current climate is a must! The room was exactly as described and once you got used to the lack of windows it really helped to shut off. The bed was comfy and room had everything we needed. The hotel isn’t fully finished but that shouldn’t put you off! Once inside our room the world behind it faded away and we slept deeply! Definitely a hotel to watch out for, in a years time it will be jewel in London’s hotel crown. I just hope it doesn’t price me out going again in the near future!

We stayed here for one night last night whilst attending Madonna at The London Palladium.

As you would expect with a brand new hotel everything is fresh and clean.

The bed was super comfy and the linens were of a high quality.

The room is compact but has everything you need for a stopover in the middle of Piccadilly Circus and so it’s location is perfect for a central London visit as you are right at the heart of all that is on offer.

The bathroom was nicely appointed with quality sanitary ware and the rainfall shower was really good too.

Staff were friendly and engaging and helped us with the check in and out process which was done via a tablet in the lobby. The female member of staff we dealt with at both check in and out also engaged in conversation with us, asking how the concert was etc., which was nice.

There will be more facilities in time to come, such as a rooftop bar and health and fitness facilities which will only enhance this hotel even more.

Highly recommended overall.

Hi jopaly Thank you so much for leaving us our very first review. And wow, what a review :-) We're really glad to read that you enjoyed your stay. You were one of our very first guests! We really hope you come back and see us again soon. You'll be able to experience our lounge the next time you come. It's a really great place to relax in where you can unwind with a chilled drink, tea or something a little more exotic like a turmeric latte. And our rooftop... That you must come and see! The views over London are incredible. Both by day and night. Have a lovely day :-)

Stayed here with 3 other girl friends for a night in the city. The hotel is in the perfect location, and was literally 30 second walk from the show we watched at the Lyric Theatre. The minute you walk through the doors you are greeted with a calming tranquil atmosphere. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The rooms were so cute, really quirky and clean. The only negatives were that the rooms are tiny..... 4 females trying to get ready for a night out was a squeeze for floor space. We had to take it in turns to use the floor space whilst the rest sat on our beds. The bathroom is accessed via a swinging frosted glass door so doesn't feel very private! However, i can honestly say it was the quietest and best nights sleep I've evwr had in the centre of London!

We originally booked to stay here for 3 nights but enjoyed our stay so much we extended it by another 2.

The staff were always so welcoming, we couldn't have been treated any better.
Our room was air conditioned and shower were powerful and of a good size, freshly cleaned

Location was great, pretty much close to everything so depending on where you're going there's plenty of options.

We will be looking to stay here again when we next visit London, Thanks to all the staff

I’m at day three of my stay and the whole experience has been appalling.

1. When trying to reach the hotel to book directly, I phoned over ten times and nobody picked up. I Tried to message the whatsapp number from the website and nobody replied and I when I finally received a reply to my email, it had been days and I had already arranged the booking via a third party.

2. I arrived one day earlier because of the tube strike in London, and checked availability for one additional night online, it was advertised at 71£ for a cocoon. So I headed directly to the hotel to extend my stay. When I arrived, I was told that the rate for one additional night was 133£ and the online rate was no longer available. When I refused to pay to pay double for a room that was advertised at 71£ until one hour before, I was told that there was nothing that could be done. So I proceeded to book into a different hotel. The front desk wasn’t helpful in spite of the fact that I am visibly 8 months pregnant.

3. As my rate was not refundable, I checked in the following day with my original booking. The room was as advertised but I was only provided with one set of small towels and the shower spills onto the floor as it doesn’t have a door, so I had to use them to dry.

4. After the first night I went to the office and when I came back, the room hadn’t been reset and no new towels were brought in, in spite of me having left the sign on the door indicating “please reset the room”.

5. On the second day, at 3pm I came back after a day of meetings and found that once again my room had not been reset and no new towels were offered.

I understand this is a budget hotel in a prime location but the service I received has been appalling from start to end and the discomfort of travelling for work during a pandemic in the final trimester of my pregnancy, has been heavily amplified.

It’s our first time to stay in this hotel. Minimalist and modern look as you step in literally just behind five guys burger in Picadilly. Just a few steps as you come out of the hotel will be Leicester Square, Soho, on your left, and Piccadilly Circus, Regent Street and Oxford circus on your right. Very central. Room was simple, no TV nor windows as expected. You get one pillow each, no hangers or wardrobe, just bed, towels, few coat hooks that’s it. Just what you see on the hotel and room photos. We booked this hotel mainly for the central location as from experience, we really do not need the extras in the room. You just get very tired after a long day and just want a comfortable and a safe place to sleep. We booked this room not to be tempted to staycation and watch tv, we came to London for leisure and to explore and that’s what we did! Shower is great, very spacious. There are pump containers for shampoo etc but you need to bring your dental care. Check in and check out were super easy, just remember you reservation code which you need to check in. We brought all our stuff so our check in was smooth, you can leave your items for a fee per bag, which you can pre book when reserving the room. We will definitely be back. Check out our instagram for more travel, dog stuff and fun @iwantpotato

The location is definitely the best part about this hotel. It's in the heart of London for such a decent price. The tradeoff is the lack of amenities and bare minimum room, they have however, designed it in a way that is stylish and modern, so the lack of amenities doesn't detract from the experience too much. Our room was literally a bed with lights and a bathroom with a glass wall. You have towels and those "does it all" kinda of shampoo/bodywash/handwash type bottles.

As for communication, they list Whatsapp as a means of getting in touch with staff, and the first time we went, they were very responsive, but no response at all the second time we visited. Not a gripe on the staff, who were incredibly helpful in-person, just something that would have been nice to have, and if it is no longer an option, to simply remove that from their key card holders.

Overall, it's a budget friendly place, for the price and location, you barely notice the lack of windows and amenities. It's a stylishly beautiful and bold hotel that transports you away from the hustle and bustle of what's right outside the front door.
