We went this weekend to London and picked the Guardsman hotel and what a choice. Location was excellent. As it was our 21st anniversary I had pre ordered a bottle of champagne for the room. What was lovely was when we arrived we had complementary drinks and upgraded room provided along with complimentary desert to go with the champagne. The room was lovely and the service and manager throughout our stay were excellent. Breakfast both days were a highlight highly recommended.

Hotel's Favourite
We stayed at The Guardsman for a couple of nights, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The hotel is a short walk from Victoria Underground station, situated in a beautifully elegant neighbourhood, not far from The Queen’s house, and easy to find. The check-in process was smooth, and the hotel staff were friendly and eager to help. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, if a little small. It was fitted out well though, with top quality bedding, towels, and toiletries, and coffee/tea making facilities. The TV was hidden behind a mirrored wall, and only became visible when it was switched on, which was pretty cool. We had breakfast included in our room rate, and it was very good. You chose from a menu offering quite a few options, we had a full English, kippers, smoked salmon & scrambled egg, and smashed avocado with poached eggs, over the two mornings. All very well prepared and beautifully presented in their comfortable breakfast room. To sum up, we really enjoyed our stay at The Guardsman, and we would definitely recommend it.

We have just returned from a stay at the hotel for my daughters 6th birthday. I couldn’t rate this hotel high enough. Every single staff member we met is a credit to the hotel! Every single person was so friendly and welcoming. They even gave my daughter a birthday teddy which she absolutely loves! The room was fantastic. Comfortable and relaxing. The little touches such as the pillow spray to help relax we’re just so nice! Location of the hotel was perfect for what we wanted. We parked at Victoria station and took a 10 minute walk to the hotel. Palace and parks just a 5 minute walk. Would 100% recommend and use again :) Thank you for having us !!

On our recent trip to London, I came down with covid the day that we checked into the Guardsman. The staff was extremely helpful in assisting me with medical advice and contacts, and throughout our extended isolation stay, always asked how we were doing and if we needed anything. Room service was prompt and the food was consistently good, with a very good selection. Our room was comfortable, which was good because we were restricted to it for 5 days. The hotel is within walking distance to many things, including Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Parliament, Westminster Abbey, restaurants, and most importantly a pharmacy. Despite the circumstances, we enjoyed are stay there, and highly recommend it. Our thanks to all of the staff.

Lovely hotel in a great location. We were only going to be in London for a couple of nights so we booked a standard room. I was not impressed by the size of the room but also not surprised. It is London! We were not able to unpack our bags but as our stay was short, that did not matter much. There was a small coat rack to hang a few items but no drawers to unpack anything else. If you are staying in London for a week, I’d recommend spending a little more for an upgraded room. Most importantly, the hotel was quiet. I am a very light sleeper so I was worried when I saw that our room was adjacent to the elevator. We were never woken up by the sound of people moving through the hallways or using the elevator. Dinner at the restaurant was the highlight of our stay! Better than the meal I had several days later at a Michelin star restaurant.

Very nice boutique hotel. It’s very close to Buckingham Palace and more importantly parks - Green, St James, and Hyde). Quite close to tube stations. There is some construction outside the hotel but I never heard it and it didn’t impact me. The room is good sized, not huge but everything you need. The bathroom is small, but wonderful shower (great water pressure) and the heaters floors are nice. I love the tv/mirror but only a few channels come in without connection issues. There is a coffee maker in the room (including milk in the mini refrigerator). There is a small restaurant and bar in the hotel. The welcome drink was a pleasant surprise! The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was very quiet (in a good way). Overall we had a very nice stay at The Guardsman and would be happy to return.

Beautifully designed, new (ish) hotel built in 2021 from the ground up. We chose to stay here due to its proximity to Victoria station as we were booked on a British Pullman journey one morning. The hotel is snug in all aspects of public areas & rooms, I can’t help but feel some of the furniture should be removed to avoid it feeling so cramped. Our superior room which is their standard room category was teeny, only big enough for a few nights max. V limited hanging space & not much walk around space in general. The coffee machine was welcomed & the mirror that turns into a tv was very cool & made good use of a tight space. Breakfast was inc & was excellent, can’t comment on dinner as we ate out. Not sure I would spend £400/500 a night here but worth the rate we got through Secret Escapes.

We stayed here for 1 night in deluxe room. This was a deal via secret escapes which included breakfast. The most difficult part was finding the hotel and realising we had walked past it. The room was a good size, the facilities were very good and we liked the small bottle of fresh milk provided for tea and coffee. The bed was massive and very comfortable. The breakfast service was very impressive. Everything freshly cooked to order and my scrambled eggs and smoked salmon was delicious. My wife had the porridge with berries and bananas, but she couldn't finish it as there was so much of it. I had a pot of tea and it had actual tea leaves and a strainer- absolutely wonderful. We will happily return as it shows what can be achieved compared to chain hotels.

Great location. The rooms were very small and one of us had to stay in bed whilst the other got dressed. Ventilation was not great other than carrying others voices and conversations from others room. Concierge were superb in fairness and very welcoming and very efficient
