The Savoy is the only luxury hotel on the River Thames. The ballet, opera, and theatre of vibrant Covent Garden are just steps away, with the City, world-renowned museums and galleries, and the designer shopping of Knightsbridge and Mayfair within easy reach. The Savoy has been woven into the fabric of London for almost 130 years, with exceptional service and memorable experiences at the heart of everything. Our team work hard to prepare for our guests and have implemented a range of measures to look after your well-being, but one thing remains a constant – the warmth of our Savoy welcome.

Everything was immaculate and the room, the location, the views, the staff, and the amenities were all excellent. The hotel even smells nice in all the rooms and the hallways. The Gordon Ramsay grill in the lobby was also a great experience.

Hotel's Favourite
Everything about our two night stay at The Savoy was perfect from start to finish. From the moment we were greeted by the doorman opening our taxi door, saying "Welcome to The Savoy" to the moment we left, feeling sad that our visit had been so short, we felt like every member of staff really cared about their guests and showed pride in their work. Check in was smooth and easy. We were delighted to be given an early check-in and an upgrade to a deluxe Junior Suite. We were shown to our room by the lady on Reception (Halina, I think), which is so unusual in hotels now. To our surprise, there was a bottle of Laurent Perrier champagne and a raspberry and white chocolate tart waiting for us, to thank us for choosing The Savoy for my husband's early birthday celebration. We were also given a complimentary drinks voucher, as my husband has a Platinum Accor loyalty card, so we were able to enjoy a glass of champagne each the following day in the Reading Room. We had booked a table in The American Bar for our first evening. Watching the serving staff as they smoothly and efficiently took and delivered orders was like watching a perfectly choreographed show. We had cocktails to start, which were served with olives and spicy mini rice cakes. With our second cocktails we ordered nibbles from the food menu - chickpea cakes and cauliflower nuggets. Both were quite generous portions. We then ordered the cheese board to share, with a glass of wine each. It was lovely to enjoy tapas style dining in such a great setting. On the second evening, after we'd been out all day, we relaxed in The Beaufort Bar for our nightcaps. A very different atmosphere, but we enjoyed it just as much, sitting up at the bar, watching Luciano and his colleague expertly chopping ice and preparing cocktails. We had breakfast both mornings in The Thames Foyer. We were expertly looked after by Mangesh on the first morning and Rosaline on the second morning. The food was delicious - I particularly enjoyed the crab and avocado on sourdough toast and my husband said the sausages were excellent. Lovely fresh orange juice and fresh pastries, too. Plenty of choice for all tastes and appetites. I should also mention the reservations staff - in particular Anastasia - who helped us throughout with our booking and questions. A fabulous experience, which I can't recommend highly enough.

Walking through the revolving doors at The Savoy is like walking into a different world. The surroundings are beautiful, the atmosphere is warm and friendly without any of the snootiness one can experience in a 5 star hotel. The place always seems to be buzzing, yet if you are a guest you are known by name from the first moment you enter to the last moment you leave. The wonderful service sets this place apart. From 24 hour room service to top quality concierge and guest services, nothing is too much trouble. Our luxury King room was very spacious with ample furniture, conveniences, a stunning marble bathroom and the best, most comfortable bed I ever slept in. I was also very impressed with the luxurious robes, quality bathroom products and mini fridge filled with a variety of complimentary soft drinks. The quality of the breakfast, which we chose to have served in our room, was also very impressive, the food and drinks arrived either piping hot or suitably chilled and were all extremely delicious. All in all, we were sorry to leave and can't wait to go back. For the ultimate experience in luxury, we'd recommend The Savoy every time.

We loved staying at the Savoy. We stayed in the more traditional side of the hotel vs. the art deco wing. Our room was stunning. It was well-appointed and comfortable. The bathroom was incredibly spacious and equally lux. The Savoy is centrally located to all the attractions and the American Bar (where the martini was invented) is a must-visit. We also did High Tea here, which was only so-so. Our package from Costco came with daily breakfast and it was always solid. I’d recommend!

To all the lovely staff at The Savoy from the previous occupants of room 322! Wow! What can I say? Just returned home from a most wonderful two days stay at your beautiful hotel. It exceeded all our expectations. My sister and I have never enjoyed such attention and care, all totally sincere I may add.. From stepping out of our taxi and being welcomed warmly on the front forecourt to saying out fond farewells two days later. Our room was amazing with the most beautiful view onto the river and beyond, so much so that at night we left the curtains open to watch a unique 'fairyland' come to life before our very eyes. Our beds were just heaven to sleep in (my sister has made a note of the pillows!!!) After a full day of walking around Westminster Abbey on our first day and The Tower of London on the second our room became a sanctuary of calm with a background of classical music softly emanating from our bedside radio and then the temptation of a visit to afternoon tea (thank you to the lovely Dermot!)and evening cocktails! Our meal Tuesday evening in the Savoy grill was made even more special as the lovely charming Thiery himself was on duty and we had a lovely chat. He was only too pleased to join us for a photo afterwards. Our meal was a melt in the mouth experience and tingled every taste bud. Linda chose Beef Wellington and I the fillet steak both with a fresh crisp mouth watering salad. Staff were attentive all the time-this was carried through continuously during our stay. Needless to say, we are already planning to return in the Springtime next year. I cannot stress enough the warmth shown to us both while we were with you. My husband, if still alive, bless him, would have been over the moon for us. Please accept my sincere thanks to you all-you are stars. Kind regards Hilly (Kendrick)
