Opened by renowned hotelier Cesar Ritz in 1906, The Ritz today still retains all the glamour and excitement synonymous with this world famous hotel. Perfectly located in a landmark position on Piccadilly in the heart of London's West End, the 136 room luxury hotel is ideally placed to suit both business and leisure visitors alike. Now totalling 111 bedrooms and 25 suites, the elegant rooms combine the original Louis XVI style interiors with modern day technology. Considered by many to be one of the most beautiful rooms in the world, The Michelin-starred Ritz Restaurant features a magnificent frescoed ceiling with west facing windows overlooking Green Park beyond. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, with a 'Live at The Ritz' Dinner Dance on Friday and Saturday evenings. The Ritz offers, most famously, daily Afternoon Tea service which has been popular since the hotel first opened. The stylishly updated Rivoli Bar was designed by Tessa Kennedy and features Art Deco styled interiors. Open daily with a bar menu. The Ritz London is a Grade II star listed building and in 2002 became the first hotel to receive the Royal Warrant from his Royal Highness The Prince of Wales for banqueting and catering services.

Our hotel made reservations for us to dine at the Ritz for dinner a few hours away from that evening and we gave them our credit card. We had to cancel within a couple hours because my husband did not bring a sport coat. This hotel charged us 82 pounds x 2 people to cancel. Our hotel has asked them twice to return such an unreasonable cancellation policy that we never understood. Our hotel had told us they might charge 50 pounds total to cancel. This is 200 USD to cancel a dinner reservation within a couple of hours. Beware of them. We learned the hard way.

Truly an experience. My wife and I brought my mom to London for her 80th birthday, as afternoon tea at The Ritz was still on her bucket list. She had no idea I booked our stay there as well, and the Rolls Royce pickup from the airport. The hotel itself is what you expect, the Luis XVI style common areas and rooms are beautiful, but what really makes the place memorable, are the people. From our first contact with Johan, and our check in with Giacomo, Gavin, Roberto everyone was fantastic throughout our stay. The amount of time that the folks at reception are willing to spend just chatting and sharing stories with you is something you just don't find elsewhere. Many thoughtful interactions with my mom as the whole place seemed to know her big birthday was coming up. It was the experience of a lifetime. Thank you everyone at the Ritz for making it happen.

Outstanding Service, The staff makes you feel like Royalty. The perfect place to accommodate any occasion. Brought my Wife here to celebrate her 40th Birthday. I wanted to find something special for my wife's 40th birthday. Arranged her a day / night at the Ritz and some theatre tickets to see Phantom of the Opera at His Majestys Theatre. From the moment we walked into the hotel, the staff were treating us like royalty. The moment I stepped out of the taxi, our bags were immediately whisked away to a secure location while our room was being sorted, we were provided a tour of the hotel and then asked what our plans were. We were then seated for the perfect afternoon tea, and the staff was so friendly, offering me a box of lemon meringues to take to my room as I enjoyed them so much. I then realized I had an hour and a half before the theatre post-afternoon tea so explained to the staff that I always wanted to see the Steinway and Sons piano showroom. The next minute they had sorted me a taxi and I was on my way, as it was only 5 minutes away from the hotel. Had an amazing moment playing a real Steinway Grand Piano in the showroom. Upon returning from the theatre later that day, the hotel had arranged for a hairstylist and makeup artist to attend to my wife's room, ahead of dinner, helping her get ready. What an experience....... she looked amazing At one point, my wife needed some materials to fix her dress, and I got into a debate with the concierge as he wouldn't allow me to run to the shops, he took care of everything for me.... what outstanding service...... i was sent back to my room with a drink, and 5 minutes later, what we required was delivered to our room. Live at the Ritz: the dinner event was outstanding. a 7-course dinner, with every course freshly made. Dinner was like a bit of theatre with courses being made in front of us at our table, accompanied by the most amazing Wine ever. The Wine Somelliar walked us through each of our wine's helping us enjoy it. The next day our flights were not until later in the evening, to the hotel offered to store our bags, allowing us to go visit the sites in London. Due to a big Cycling event, closing down a lot of the roads in London, I asked the concierge to assist us in getting back to the airport. Immediately a car was booked. I cheekily asked for something bigger, which ofc I was happy to pay for, and they sent us back to the Airport in a Rolls Royce Phantom. My Wife was so happy....... 10/10 - Service 10/10 - Accommodation 10/10 - Experience I also bought lots of Ritz momentos and a dressing gown for my Wife which she loves. I look forward to staying again at the Ritz next time I come to London.... Will try one of the suites next time.

Loved the tradition at this hotel, the attention to detail was perfect, the breakfast impeccable, drinks perfect, the restaurants were wonderful and the staff accommodating and friendly. We loved the hotel in almost every way at but one. See below: The front door has a major problem. The bouncers aka doormen think they are working a nightclub, we came and went sightseeing and museum hopping numerous times during the two days we were there and the tedium of the meatheads working the front door was ridiculous. To be staying in a suite in the hotel and every time we come back to have them put their hand up and block your entrance and ask if they can help you is enough to lose your patience. They should be welcoming guests, opening the door but these guys are clearly hired to keep people out. Even when we said we were staying there they moved out of the way and didn’t open the door. Not a five star service on the door, unless you are King Charles don’t expect any respect or friendliness when returning to your hotel. The staff working the days in question were May 20-22, 2023, the exception was the bell hop who helped us with our bags and was exceptionally kind. The hotel needs a system to recognize guests versus random people taking photos. Honestly unless this system is fixed we wouldn’t stay here again, it became so exhausting to battle the door staff every time we returned to the hotel.

Be careful with check out time or you will be simply kicked out of your room Without any message nor call. You clothes will be packed and send to the reception. If they wrote down 4pm for check out, be cautious: from 12ham Your luggage will be packed and sent to the storage room. Never seen this in my life… Reception will be explain that your are wrong about check out time… a shame for a 5 stars hotel. In addition no pool no spa nothing but Tea Time…

We stayed here overnight for an afternoon tea. The minute we arrived you felt special and were in good hands. The hotel is iconic and the room (415) was lovely and spacious for central London. We had a drink in the bar, afternoon tea, a wonderful breakfast and then had a drink on the rear terrace (very hard to find, so ask reception).

It's The Ritz, so you expect greatness. Unfortunately, it fell short of being "wow" and it's the little touches which let it down. Firstly, they don't provide tea & coffee facilities in the rooms (or at least not in our Superior Queen), which for £1,000+ per night is frankly ridiculous. If you want a cup of tea or coffee you'll need to either head to the nearby Starbucks or pay a handsome £9.50 on room service. Secondly, whilst the room decor and setup were obviously immaculate there were a few things missing which, again, you'd expect given the price. For example there was no comb, no dental kit and the quality of the toiletries is what you'd expect from a 4 star hotel. You'd be well within your rights to read the above and think "how entitled are you!". But having been fortunate enough to stay in similar hotels I do think it's these things that make the difference and help justify such a cost premium - it can't just be about the name. On the plus side the staff are amazing - polite and courteous as you'd expect. Is it worth the money and the brand/name premium though? Unfortunately, I don't think so.

Immaculate London hotel experience. Simply nothing compares to Ritz if you aspire a neo-classical retreat in a luxurious setting. Price could be reasonable as a lot of hotels in London offer a lot more and are a lot more better for less but i guess the guest that stay at the Ritz are celebrities and such

We celebrated the Coronation with a champagne Afternoon Tea in The Palm Court at the Ritz Hotel. It is my wife's favourite place; she loves the elegant ambiance and delicious food which is always exquisitely presented. On this occasion, I was concerned as the doctor has placed her on a low FODMAP diet to address the food allergies and intolerances she is currently suffering (including dairy, nut and gluten) In actual fact, I had no need to worry, her special dietary requirements were very well catered for. The staff served her food separately to that of my daughter and I, explained each item and discretely placed the food such that we knew where it was but, other diners would not notice the difference. We were very impressed with this thoughtful attention to detail. Highly recommend and will return.
