The staff is courteous and welcoming. They were always helpful and willing to go out of their way to make my stay enjoyable. Sebastian, Alberto and the rest of the staff staff help us to swap room from Mercure Hotel to receive nice view to the garden.
They had no hesitation in printing documents out for me. .
The hotel may have its quirks, but the staff and service more than makes up for it.
I will stay here again if I return to London.
However, I will ensure that I get the executive king again.
Some rooms are small, but our booked executive rooms were simply great, dealing comfortably with an extra cot.
Everywhere was clean, the beds were beautifully comfortable, fresh bedding, fluffy towels, and bathrooms uniformly well equipped and of a good standard.
But overall, service made us stand out. From cleaning staff, reception staff, to restaurant staff - all were without exception, extremely friendly and professionally fit with help.
I hope some of them read this review because I would like to thank them for making our short stay in London more memorable.
I would absolutely recommend Indigo to anyone.
Room itself was clean and modern with comfy bed, small bathroom but main issue is the amount of amenities with only 2 milk / coffee pods on offer.
It’s in a good location but I was unhappy that an advertised early saver booking was actually more expensive than standard rate.
The rooms are really small, which you expect in London but they're also quite dark which doesn't help the feeling of having little space. I didn't have breakfast but my friends did and they said it was awful. We were woken early by housekeeping who knocked the door even though we hadn't checked out yet, they then continued to make a lot of noise in the hallway which meant that even though I slept fine throughout the night, being woken early and then kept awake just made for an overall unpleasant experience.
I left a rather expensive t-shirt at the hotel and contacted them soon after my stay to ask if I could pay for it to be sent back to me but I've had absolutely no response. Whilst I appreciate leaving it there was my own fault, I would expect that it was found and returned to me especially seeing as I was willing to cover the cost. It's extremely disappointing that nobody has even responded. I guess it's been kept or sold.
I wouldn't recommend staying here, there are plenty of better options in London at comparable prices.
Best thing about the hotel is the customer service. We arrived with a confirmed reservation on a 3rd party booking and it was not in the Hotel Indigo system. Rose on the desk was very professional and took time to help us through the process of getting a room sorted out. I can think of a lot of hotels where "no booking,,tuff" would be the attitude
And as a IHG Platinum Elite Member, we've got upgraded to a bigger room and it is great - clean room with Nespresso machine and complimentary soft drinks in the mini bar.
Staff is excellent from pre-checking in with emails (asking about luggage storage) to actual checking in and checking out. I've forgot my Foreo in the bathroom and I've just known it when I've already arrived home. I sent them emails and they managed to have it sent back to me by post. Got it in a week. Very appreciated, thanks a lot! :)
All in all, great stay and highly recommended. We'll go back for sure.
The room was clean and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The inclusion in the room of a Nespresso machine and complimentary soft drinks in the mini bar was a nice touch. Some of the in room decor and furnishings are looking a little dated and tired but the hotel is well looked after and nicely maintained.
Since my first visit, the hotel has rebranded / let out its own restaurant space to Bella Italia. I was a little hesitant about this in terms of breakfast arrangements when making my room reservation but I needn't have been. The breakfast offering was amongst the best I've had at a mid price hotel in central London and comprises a traditional continental buffet as well as table service hot dishes which were well cooked and of good quality. The only watch outs are that space in the restaurant felt a little tight for my liking and that if using the restaurant for anything other than breakfast you won't be able to charge items to your room. The two are separate entities / operations.
Finally, a word of commendation to all the staff members I interacted with. They were genial, helpful and accommodating which is a rarity anywhere these days, let alone in central London.
I would definitely recommend to others and I hope to return soon.
