We stayed at Novotel, Hanover Street, as part of a hospitality package. A spacious and comfortable room on the 8th floor, looking towards Liverpool cathedral. Very conveniently situated for Albert Dock, Pierhead and Liverpool One. Buffet style breakfast very good, with plenty of choice. Bar food good and reasonably priced. A very pleasant stay.

Best thing I can say about the Novotel is the location was great. Short walk to everything. Lots of good eats close by, and Liverpool One right across the road. However, pretty much everything else was just average. Room was clean, and just ok. Nothing special. Hotel staff were good. There were a few things missing which I had to ask for, but they were provided. One thing that was odd was a staff member banged on my door continually when I was trying to sleep, with the do not disturb sign on. He wanted to change the sofa mattress, which I guess couldn't wait til I checked our the next day. But whatever. 3 stars. I would try somewhere else next time.

We stayed at Novotel for three nights as a couples getaway for a few days. We were greeted by friendly receptionists who checked us in. Asked if we required breakfast and booked for one morning, however breakfast times weren’t shared with us so just had to guess. On arrival at our room I was dismayed to find there was no toilet roll in the bathroom which is a simple necessity after a room is cleaned ready for the next guests. I therefore had to ask reception for some which was accommodated. Room was to standard, very few plug sockets. We were located by the main road so was very noisy at night time and did struggle to sleep, the windows did not offer any sound barrier. We did have an issue with the heating in our room and found it was very cold on arrival, was offered a heater but nobody came to try to “fix” the heating during our stay even though it was supposedly reported to housekeeping. Our room was made up tidy by the housekeepers each day, however there was no sign in our room which we could put on the door to not disturb so was woken up most mornings by the housekeepers knocking on our door. I found the housekeeper on our checkout day quite rude banging on the door twice, once when I was in the shower and again when I had gotten out. She stated “what time you leaving” which was not met with any other conversation and frankly quite rude. Overall average stay experience with some improvements to be made.

We had a superior room very clean plenty of towels plus little extras shampoo body wash ect There is a few stains on the carpet but overall ithe room was comfortable Buffet breakfast was excellent no problem there Just one grumble the swimming pool it's not as big as you think on your arrival you have to book a slot bear this in mind Dio not take anything of value in the the pool as the lockers do not work Be preperd to change in your room as the changing rooms are not much Overall hotel was good and as a family would stay agsin
