Not being a lover of Blackpool I went as a member of a family booking, I have in the past stayed in some real dumps but I have to say the Doric was the opposite of that. We had one of the refurbished rooms and it was excellent from the staff (Louise in the dining room, great chracter) to everything about the weekend was well worth it.

Just returned home from a brilliant Sunday to Friday at the doric.. we have been going to the doric hotel for 10 years... the manager james and his staff are so very friendly and helpful. The food is brilliant.. my daughter loved the pool.. and the kids club.. down side when we arrived there was only one lift working..but has now been fixed. We will be back next year

Was looking forward to my stay here after reading lots of positive reviews, unfortunately i am quite disappointed. The room is very small and clearly one of the non refurbished rooms! On a plus side the bed is very comfortable. The shower is tempromental with the water varying from boiling to cold depending on who else in a room close by is also using the water at the same tim. Having to give my child a bath after her almost being scolded with the shower. There is no internet signal in the bedroom. The pool is the size of a postage stamp and only 3 ft deep, so careful if you have long legs!!. On the plus side the hotel is clean and the staff are nice. Wouldnt say this is a bad place, however not worth the money paid.

Had a lovely long weekend staying here. The staff were lovely and our waitress Louise was excellent dealing with the 11 of us. Room was clean and there were plenty of towels in the bathroom. We have tried a few different hotels, but the Doric is by far our favourite.
