Just don’t bother.. When entering this hotel you will be greeted by 5 buckets due to a number of leaks in the hotel. What to expect staying at the royal Carlton: Damp in room suspicious brown stains on the wall. Stained lampshade Holes in the wall Toilet hanging off the wall

We stayed here for 3 nights for the illuminations and the staff were fantastic friendly helpful didn’t mind having a laugh with you made you feel very welcome breakfast was brilliant as much as you want or as little as you wanted fresh very enjoyable . Nick the night porter who has his work cut out keeping everyone in order serving behind the bar cleaning up tables and laying up for breakfast but always had a smile had a joke with you and was very helpful. The bar stays open as long as the customers are there we did not arrive till 12 o’clock midnight and couldn’t of got a warmer welcome sat and had a few beers before retiring to our very nice room the bed was really comfortable the room was really clean my only complaint is it was a bit small, They didn’t supply shampoo only a tiny little bottle of body wash and there was no hairdryer but there was tea and coffee and a kettle and best of all the bed was very comfortable we was on the bottom floor which did get a bit noisy but our friends were on the first floor and they didn’t have a problem, but overall we had a great stay I will go back again the hotel is in a great position in the middle of the of the promenades and a tram stop right outside the hotel is great, we managed to park along the seafront cost £8 a day and that is free from from 8 o’clock in the evening to 10 am in the morning so you only pay if you stay there all day. Hope this helps someone and have ah test stay you won’t regret it

This hotel never disappoints, myself and my husband Phil love the place, this was our third visit this year and will be back for a fourth in November for my birthday, amazing staff, food was delicious and a fantastic balcony room, the entertainment was superb especially Danny King (our personal favourite) and Caine West was a pleasure to watch, Chris Ritchie was so funny and entertaining (we saw him last time impersonating Neil Diamond) we are always sorry to come home.
