After a long search to find a decent hotel with parking we came across Number 1. The hotel is near star gate end which is a quieter area but easy for getting on the tram. You are made to feel welcome as soon as you enter and staff go the extra mile to make your stay enjoyable. The common areas and rooms are very clean and decor really nice. We had Evita room which included a small sofa. The breakfast was nicely presented and very good. Would definitely recommend.

Fabulous, family run hotel with caring staff! Taking my disabled mum away for the first time in 2 years was daunting but nothing was a problem. Wheelchair access was great, staff on hand to help and mum ‘slept through the night’ for the first time in many years! Beautiful rooms, immaculately cleaned with comfy bed and high quality linen. Lovely finishing touches and really appreciated things like the enormous fluffy towels and the ability to dim the lights to suit mums needs! Breakfast was superb, beautifully cooked and plenty to eat…great you could order the night before so you knew it was cooked just for you! Free parking too! It has a senses of quality and old fashioned values like traditional B&B’s used to be but was modern and stylish too. Great value and highly recommended….would never look to stay anywhere else when we next visit Blackpool. Thank you!

Wow! is all that can be said about this hotel. From the moment you walk in the door it was just what we were looking for and have never found in Blackpool until now. This hotel had it all and more. Friendly staff (Loved Graham's stories from over the years of being in the hotel business) both in the day and at night. The room was outstanding with some lovely finishing touches, proper double glazing and peaceful surroundings with excellent views. The morning breakfast was outstanding and absolutely first class and unrushed which was brilliant. A lovely selection from fresh fruits, porridge and of course the full English, with a range juices (nice to have them cold) and hot drinks. Our room was very clean, comfortable and relaxing and the bathroom was also superb with a whirlpool bath and TV which I had not experienced anywhere else in Blackpool. The staff and management team that we met were lovely and smartly dressed and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you all for your kindness and making us feel so welcome! Named Number One for a reason, because you are! See you again very soon.

Having stayed in 5 star BBs and Hotels before, my friend and I were excited to visit Blackpool’s number one and 5 star accommodation. We managed to park in the free car park out front which was excellent. We had booked Sophistication, Which was a twin room with a balcony overlooking the sea. We were instructed how to use the TV the lighting and the whirlpool bath and then we were left unpack. Although the balcony doors were open it did smell a little fusty. I know a lot of the previous reviews explain how clean the hotel was, and I must say all the public areas were immaculately clean however the room although not dirty was not up to a five star and Covid standard. There was something crusted one of the beds throws there were stains on the carpet and the walls. By the time we left the floor had never been hoovered the TV area and the lighting was thick with dust we know the cleaners came into the room as strangely they went in and cleaned during the time we were at breakfast each morning which to be honest I didn’t like as you don’t always put everything away when you get up in the morning before you go down for breakfast so there were private items in the room such as underwear and nightwear not put away . All that seem to happen was the water was replenished the towels put away and if there was nothing on the beds the beds were made, glasses were not always removed from bedside. There was nothing to say that the room would not be cleaned properly due to COVID-19 restrictions as other hotels and B&Bs we have stayed in have stated and then I do not mind. Breakfast was a cooked breakfast each morning which was okay not breakfast award standard and as per another review cheap sausages. We were able to acquire An alternative on two days Which had previously been promised during Covid. The staff were very polite and the establishment was very nice and in a great location . The whirlpool bath and the TV in the bathroom was a lovely addition. However the whirlpool bath and a Seaview does not make a five star B&B. Yes this was a very nice place but we were A little disappointed.

What a lovely hotel! Several things stood out the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the excellent service, the superb breakfast and the quality of the rooms. We stayed with our son so booked a single occupancy room for him which was great value. Both rooms called Passion and Intrigue are in excellent condition and look like the photos but not quite as brightly coloured. They were spotlessly clean and well equipped. Decent biscuits and bottled water were provided. We had a convenient parking space at the back of the hotel. The breakfast was top notch proper freshly squeezed orange juice and everything you could possibly have for a full English. The hotel is south of the pleasure beach so although a little way from the centre it benefits from being in a quiet spot close to the prom. If not the number one hotel in Blackpool at the price level it must be very close to the best.
