Caroline and Jonathan, who own the hotel, are very welcoming and efficient. They are also fun to chat with. My room was characterful and warm with a view of the hills and an attached sparkling bathroom. Breakfast is excellent and the hotel is very well placed for both Lake Windermere and the town centre. I would be very happy to return.

Hotel's Favourite
Myself and my wife were fortunate enough to stay at this beautiful boutique hotel. Our two night stay was part of a celebration for my wife's birthday. The property is spotlessly clean and very tastefully appointed. The hosts Caroline and Jonathan could not have been better. I particularly enjoyed Jonathan's sense of humour. The breakfasts were excellent. I would thoroughly recommend Cedar Manor and if I am in the Lake District in the future I would not consider staying anywhere else. Many thanks for your hospitality and attention to every detail. John and Margaret McAdam.

From check in to afternoon tea (afternoon tea not to be missed!) nothing was too much trouble. Even with the terrible weather storm we had, Jonathan spearheaded our rescue from Henrock restaurant, when the restaurant could not get a taxi to get us back. Definitely over and above our expectations. The Coach House was an indulgence that was well worth the treat.

My wife and I have just returned from a long weekend stay at Cedar Manor and I really couldn’t recommend it enough. A beautiful hotel, incredibly clean and lovely rooms. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable. The breakfasts and afternoon tea were delicious. The hotel is located a few minutes walk into the town centre and is a great place to explore from. We were both blown away with the beauty of the area and can’t wait to return. We will definitely be staying at Cedar Manor when we do.

We booked for afternoon tea to celebate our wedding anniversary. Our host was charming and so helpful; so when he realised my vegetarian wife will eat some fish he quickly conjoured up an extra smoked salmon sandwich. The tea was an absolute delight and treat. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked, from an amuse bouche through delicious sandwiches to scones and cream and delicious pastries. A true Wow. We will be back
