From the moment we emailed to ask some information about staying at Blue Swallow , we knew it was the place to stay in Penrith.... The hostesses were amazing, nothing was too much for them . Rooms spotless and all areas spotless. Breakfast was superb , we needed a vegan one and my oh my did we get a great vegan breakfast ! The location was good and restaurants very close and the lovely ladies are very informative in where to eat for your personal dietary needs. Our stay at the Blue Swallow will stay with us for a long time , in a very positive way. Thank you so much and a special thank you to Bunty!

A little gem. So clean and comfortable. The hostesses go out of there way to make your stay comfortable they are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. . Little extras such as tiffin sweets and flapjack are just some of the lovely touches that make you feel spoiled. I highly recommend this guest house.

The hosts were so accommodating, from suggestions before we arrived of places to eat to the hospitality while we were there, nothing was too much trouble. Add that to comfortable rooms and a tasty breakfast and it really set the Blue Swallow apart from other places we've stayed. A perfect base to explore the Northern Lakes.

This was my third stay in the Blue Swallow and once again everything was perfection - the cleanliness, breakfast, covid safety arrangements and, above all, the welcome. Alison and Karen are the perfect hosts - really kind; nothing is too much trouble. I can’t recommend them enough.

Stayed here with a couple of friends for three nights. I cannot recommend the Blue Swallow highly enough. Both Karen and Alison are great people and are really really helpful. I have stayed in a number of B&B's over the years, this has the best service I have experienced. The rooms were nice and tidy and breakfast was great. Karen and Alison also gave us brilliant recommendations of where in town to eat. If you do intend staying overnight in Penrith, this is the place to be !
