Overall a lovely experience, just a few minor things to improve. Werent given details of put pf hours so couldn't get in through front door; had to be shown the back door. No bottle water in the vending machine and when we asked for one we were just told bar is closed and then they gave us tap water. Bed was sooo comfy! Had the best sleep. Had to close bathroom door as a constant dripping tap was bothering us. Breakfast was delicious, just the right size and cooked perfectly. Although 2 tables were not clean that we nearly chose to sit at and the glasses were sticky. Only 1 option for milk. Place needs some tlc. It has huge potential. Carpets are filthy in hallways and in breakfast room liquid up the walls etc needs a paint. I'd stay again for sure just show the hotel some more love

The location was perfect for me and overall I had a wonderful stay for ALL 2 weeks. The room was comfortable (it lacked nothing in my humble view) and the breakfast was delicious. However, it's the staff that really made the difference. Special thanks again to Sajid who was always eager to ensure that this guest had ALL his needs impeccably fulfilled. Would love to visit again on my next trip to the UK. Cheers.

I was in room 310, it was me and my boyfriend and its bathroom is a luxury bathroom with a super king bed and a view overlooking the river which is so beautiful at night. I have stayed in other rooms before but will always pay more to go in a superior room. 306 and 210 are a good choice too.

I stayed last week, and it was a small dainty hotel. Everything from checking in, to having housekeeping checking-in in the morning, to breakfast and evening meals, was smooth and effortless. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Highly recommended.

I had never stayed in Chatham before last night, but the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The front desk staff told me where to visit in Rochester which is the neighbouring town, full of unique independent stores and plenty to eat whilst visiting the Cathedral or Rochester Castle. All the staff always had a smile on.

I don't take any pleasure in doing this but hopefully it helps others. On the positive side the hotel were kind enough to let me rebook my Expedia booking due to having covid which they didn't have to do. The view from the car park is great over the Dockyard. For the negatives... when I got there I had to present a physical card for security because I'd booked online through a 3rd party. I did manage to find my card details in Google Wallet as I don't carry my physical card with me these days, but it wasnt a great start when I'd been on the road for 5 hours. Bringing my dog would have cost an extra £20 per night . The room had a dirty feel to it and I'm glad i didn't take my dog in the end. I don't doubt it had been cleaned but the bathroom floor had stains that were around in and my feet stuck to the carpet. The windows didn't open so the room was very stuffy. The bed smelt of stale cigarettes but it was comfy and served its purpose. There was a lot of noise through the night with doors banging shut , neighbours talking and the constant sound of the toilets in surrounding rooms filling back up after being flushed. I was so tired in the morning that I skipped the breakfast to start my 5 hour journey home as I hadn't slept well. Definitely wouldn't recommend room 211.

This hotel is great. Yes, it’s not a 5 star hotel, but it’s definitely worth visiting. The reception staff are so helpful, the housekeeping staff are so lovely to speak to, and the events team did an amazing for the event that I attended. I stayed in room 306 and it’s a very modern and up to date room. I’d definitely recommend all if looking to hire out a hall for your wedding.

If your planning your wedding here DONT unfortunately our day was ruined by the rude events manager Nicki who was caught by my guests slagging us off more then once, throwing stuff on our buffet table called me liar more then once about scratch cards and my sweet table.. They have nothing in place if running late & apparently it was my Job to let the kitchen know we was running late when I'm at home and my husband to be was there with a photography that was communicating with my photographer at home with me but yet it's was our fault for the food coming out cold awful and not eatable.. the waiter staff were not clean or tidy there white shirts were not white and had stains all over them. I had 21 guests in the day 2 had allergies diary & nut allergy which neither was taken seriously I reminded Nicki all the time & provide a excel spread sheet with table numbers on who eats what who has allergies etc. they couldn't seem to read off a sheet and hand food out so one of my guests had to get up take the spread sheet and tell them where food was going (spread sheet was dummy proof) Dessert came and dairy allergy guest was assure it was dairy free ice cream starts eating it to which the manager then comes running over don't eat it when he had and then was poorly for the rest of the evening but they think it's acceptable because they offered my guest 2 free beers.. most of the dessert went back my nut allergy guess didn't eat nothing else that night. Hardly any of the food was eating at the sit down meal. I paid for tea and coffee all day 2 of my guests had a drink each and then it was taken away. I had strict instructions about a bouncy castle we had arriving for the children when we were eating as there was a befolding doors I wanted that shut so the children wouldnt see and would eat there meals was assured that would happen and didn't. All the time I wasted having meetings for nothing as my day was ruined. I was told my cake would be wrapped and covered at the end of the night which was left open and the cake was going dry and hard so we wasn't able to cut our cake and give to guests after the wedding day. We chose this venue because I had been to weddings here in the past and there never used to be any issues & The room we chose was for our late grandad who was disabled and it had wheelchair access and plenty of space so was prefect for him unfortunately he passed away before our wedding and alarm bells were ringing about the events manager but we were to far in by then to cancel. We also stressed in emails and face to face our concerns, but was assured there was nothing to worry about. We actually booked our wedding with a lovely lady called adeica who went off on maternity leave had we still had her I don't believe we would have had half the problems we did. The bridal sweet was so outdated and awful the bath had a jacuzzi bath but the taps didn't work properly. The bar staff we had in our room were lovely and so embarrassed and apologetic. We only had a small budget to get married but no one no matter how much they pay should have to experience what we did on our wedding day.. Been trying to resume my complaint because no one should have there day ruined all the general manager who has just been promoted from a bar manager "i will admit I am still in the adolescent stage of this role and learning still" They will not issue any sort of refund but will offer a discount off of another function should you wish to book, ABSOLUTELY not. What a insult. The complaint was not dealt with correctly. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK YOUR WEDDING here!!! The memories we have on our wedding day which should be the happiest day of your life is stress upset, tears and unhappy guests not able to enjoy them selves. We had breakfast the morning after the chef we he was nice friendly and the food was actually hot and nice.

Disappointed in this hotel. The only thing that saves it is the staff. The hotel is dated and needs updating. The rooms are tired and lack personality. The bedside lamps don’t work. The windows don’t open. Sink taps have rust on top of them. The flooring has stain marks. The food was okay large portions. Would I stay here again yes if rooms are updated but how they are at the moment then the answer is no Sorry

We came here for a funeral, with the bulk of the family flying over from Ireland. It was about what you’d expect from a hotel of this price/rating, food wasn’t great, rooms weren’t great. We had 4 rooms and all of them had a different issue, too hot, heating didn’t work, broken window, weird smells, mold and other various issues. The main issue we had though was being told on arrival that under 14’s were not allowed to sit downstairs, we were travelling with 2 children and so this was extremely inconvenient and made spending time together a bit more difficult as all 10 of us had to try and squeeze into 1 bedroom instead. However, the beds were very comfortable and the day staff team member Connor was really polite, tried his best to still ensure we had a good experience here despite our issues, he is a credit to the hotel and I think we’d have definitely had a less positive experience if not for him. Ps, thanks Connor for the biscuits!
