The Premier Inn Isle of Wight Sandown (Seafront) hotel offers a homely atmosphere that guests often find welcoming, though some areas may feel outdated. Its prime beachfront location is a highlight for many travelers, offering easy access to the seafront and coastal path. Staff are frequently commended for their friendly service, though some guests have encountered inefficiencies.
While the rooms are generally clean with comfortable sea views, noise and maintenance issues have been noted. Amenities like good food and a cozy vibe are well-liked, but parking and Wi-Fi attract criticism. The value is appreciated by guests taking advantage of meal deals and off-peak rates, yet some question the overall value when issues arise.

Wow, what a fantastic location, right on the beach! Helpful staff and great selection of food at the buffet breakfast.
This hotel does not have a car park, however you can park along the Esplanade and parking charges are 24 hours a day. Tip: If you park between the hours of 6pm to 10am you will pay a cheap ‘night rate’ of £2.00. We had a super room – seaview on the 3rd floor (305).
Very frustratingly two out of our three nights stay were disrupted by ‘elephants’ upstairs! Heavy footsteps and banging / dropping noises at round 2am / 4:30am and 5:15am! As a new hotel you would have thought they would soundproof the whole room, not just from external noises.
One of the two lifts was broken for our whole stay (4 days). Upon arrival to our room, our toilet paper, shower gel and hand soaps were not topped up, so we had to ask for them to be replenished. Not a great start!
The hotel does advise you of the sporadic mobile signal and the free Wi-Fi is pretty intermittent too. Personally, my reception (on O2) was actually ok. My Husband however, on EE, did struggle a lot!
If you would like to eat in their restaurant C + P, I would highly recommend booking a table as they can get extremely busy! It’s a very popular place! We ate in the restaurant and the food was delicious!

Love a premier inn but sandown seafront is definitely my favourite. From checking in with Danielle who was so welcoming and did so much for us. We were a little early but that wasn't an issue for Danielle, she checked if our rooms were ready by going upstairs. We wanted to put rose petals in the room and she arranged for us to do that as a surprise for our daughter. She gave us Seaview rooms as she knew it was for a romantic break . Thank you Danielle. Checking into our rooms was easy and very clean . We had everything we needed we a perfect veiw of our favourite beach. We love the purple light at the back of the bed, it just gives that extra touch. Tv channels were a bit limited for the evening but we were not there to watch TV. Bed and covers were so comfortable and clean with extra pillows available. Breakfast was amazing with an all you can eat buffet of cooked , continental and drinks for £9.99 per adult and 2 kids eat free with that. We booked an evening meal and the staff in the restaurant downstairs were so friendly staff. This hotel is fairly new so the rooms are in perfect condition in the most amazing location for beach walks and restaurants and a pier arcade on rainy days. There is no car park but there are parking bays all along the front and a car park within 10 minutes walk which cost us £19 to park for 48 hours.

Receptionist Friendly and pleasant when I arrived I book Meal Deals fir the 5 night I was there and really I feel this is good value when travelling alone I had booked a room with a view which of course was a Sea View When I got to my Room it was clean and well appointed like any Stanard Premier Inn Room. The view was amazing and couldn't be bettered Bathroom was clean and had a Power Shower which was amazing The Restaurant was a Cook & Pub which ihadnt experienced in anyone my previous Premier Inn stays in various parts of the Country I was warmly greeted and asked if I had any allergies etc I was shown to a table and the variety of food available is far better than the Thyme Grill in most Premier Inns The standard of the Food and the professionalism of the Staff was most welcoming The same applied to the Buffet Breakfast which went along similar lines as in other Premier inns All the staff I met and those I chatted to were polite, attentive and friendly and made you feel valued The Restaurant was also fully decorated for Christmas which I loved as I love Christmas My Room could be cleaned every day by requesting at Reception Everywhere was clean and tidy and overall I throughly enjoyed and would recommend this Hotel Out of Season prices are good value however prices do increase in the Summer months but I suppose that's mainly down to excessive demand I'm a single man 71 years old and mobility problems that involve mainly a Walking Stick so the Lifts were most welcome

THE worst seafront hotel I have ever stayed in. After requesting a sea view room due to my severe COPD. Myself and my friend were greeted by an old lady who mocked both our surnames, not the first time we’ve heard it, and we do normally have a sense of humour. Until seeing our rooms. My friend’s room over looked the bins on floor 3. My room on the first floor has a flat roof and stone wall six feet out side my window which I couldn’t open. It had a label resting me assured that a constant flow of fresh air was being circulated round my room. Tosh. The room was hot and humid and smelly and the morning after it sounded like a kids playground above me. Oh and the toilet seat was hanging off and the pillows were rubbish. Besides being in a prime location, this is the worst hotel I have ever stepped in and run by people who have no idea about customer relations. And trying to cancel the other two days we booked, absolute nightmare. We ended up having to go back to this dive in order to cancel our booking because they had stupidly already checked me in. This isn’t the end. I will take this up with PI head office.

This place has some huge positives…. Zane in the restaurant, Stephen in reception and the restaurant manager whose name I did not obtain. It does what it says on the tin…. Normal good bed quality at premier inn and the restaurant /bar is good value for money with acceptable standard of food. And a location right on the beach with sea view rooms. However, since Covid and this has been commented on by others, at numerous premier inns, premier inn now seem to think that basic standards of running an hotel are now back in the 1900’s ! What is wrong with cleaning rooms daily WITHOUT having to request that….even if it is just making the bed and a Quick hoover round ???? Any aspect of cleaning or ‘refreshing’ a room needs to be by way of a request to reception which is a gamble as to whether or not it’s carried out ???? Towels need to be brought to reception to be changed and other basic functions are not carried out as a matter of course but ‘on demand’ if you are lucky. WHITBREADS or whatever you are calling yourselves these days, get a grip and stop ripping people off, relying on ‘Covid standards’ and get back to the basics, otherwise we can see this chain disappearing from most towns in the uk. Be warned at your peril..____ people are fed up with this standard of behaviour and reliance on out of date unsubstantiated ‘covid rules’ from hotels. Plus the free Wi-Fi is appallingly slow and that whilst excellent quality takes 200 presses of the remote !!!

One night booked £105 terrible room at back facing brick wall and bins of restaurant and staff sat on the wall staring in at us. Sink in bathroom would not drain unusable. When i complained on check out was told we should have mentioned it before though don't think at midnight when we returned to room and discovered anyone would have fixed it. Vending machine out of order so had to ask at bar restaurant for water and was charged £2.45 for a CAN of water . Terrible value for money .would never recommend or return.

My young sons and I stayed here for 5 nights and we was so impressed with the staff at this hotel. The staff were welcoming and always had a smile when greeting customers and always had time to talk to us, even at the end of the day and at peak times. We never felt rushed when asking for information from reception through to the room cleaning team.
Neil in the restaurant really stood out and ran his team and service very well, regular check backs to see if tables needed anything else, clean and tidy tables that were cleared when they needed to be, he always had a smile on his face, food service was smooth and although very busy it never felt unorganized, he was very hands on which is great to see. His customer focused happy demeanor never wavered even at the end of the day!
We did have a slight mould smell in our room but the hotel staff did everything they could to help, nothing was to much trouble, we ended up extending our stay for an extra night, so thank you for an unforgettable holiday we will be back next year!

We were made welcome by the receptionist on duty when we arrived. We were too early for check in so the receptionist stored our bags which was really helpful and enabled us to have a gorgeous walk along the seafront without lugging our bags. Check in was quick and efficient and we were all (apart from one of us) allocated rooms with a sea view. The rooms were comfortable, pristine and perfect temperature with a lovely view. Water in the reception was a really nice touch so we could fill our water bottles and kettles!. We were really impressed by the friendly, helpful manner of all the reception staff. They were a credit to your company.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights with my mum this week as part of a five day holiday to the Isle of Wight (came home today) & as soon as we stepped foot on the premises, expectations were exceeded. Receptionist staff were so warm & welcoming when we checked-in & were enthusiastic in providing answers to any questions we had. The friendliness of staff continued during the entirety of our stay. Our room we were allocated was in such a clean condition when we arrived & we couldn’t find any faults with it whatsoever. The beds were so comfortable, the shower was great & there was minimal noise in the late evening/ night which was even better & allowed us to get good quality sleep after long days exploring the Island. Breakfast was worth every penny spent; having the choice of both cooked & continental breakfast made it more of an enhanced experience & you didn’t feel restricted to eating the same thing every morning. The quality of products available were of enhanced standard The only thing is that the mobile phone signal isn’t the greatest as you’re opposite the sea (which is amazing!) & there isn’t many channels on the TV, which wasn’t an issue in the daytime, but when relaxing in your room in the late evening/ night, it was a tad frustrating. I would 100% recommend staying at this branch of Premier Inn in Sandown, so much so that I regret not staying here for a longer amount of time during our holiday this time around. It gives us a perfect excuse to come back to the Isle of Wight & specifically stay here. :)

We arrived and knowing there was no parking, we were lucky enough to park in a side road about a 10 minute walk away. On checking in we were told we had a double room, my wife was adamant she had booked a family room as it was possible one of our children may have been joining us, unfortunately my wife couldn’t find the online correspondence and so we had to accept a double room. We asked if it would be possible to have a camp bed in the room and were told no. The bed was a straight forward double bed, not the huge type Lenny Henry curls up in on the TV advert. There was a blood spot on the quilt cover and mould marks around the shower. My wife had a few urgent emails to check and reply to for her business. The Wi-Fi was non existent and so she paid extra for the premium Wi-Fi which again didn’t work. We decided to go into the bar connected to the Premier and asked for a table for two. We were told if we hadn’t booked, no chance. We did ask if we could order a drink and suddenly a table came available. We ordered some drinks and were handed a list of items that they had run out of. My wife fancied the ploughman’s lunch and when she asked she was told they had run out of bread rolls so she could only have plain bread. Ok not a problem, but when she went to order they said they couldn’t do ploughman’s as they had no cheese left. We just had the drinks and ate elsewhere. The day had been warm and the air conditioning in the room was very welcome, however it would have been nice to have been able to open the window, even just a little to let some fresh air in. The following day my wife spoke to a young girl who was making up the rooms along the corridor and asked if we could have our room given a once over. The girl asked if she had requested it in reception ? My wife said she hadn’t but would happily go and ask. The girl replied well you’ve got no chance today anyway. It was noticeable throughout that customer skills were lacking in several departments. The breakfast was tasty and probably the saving grace of the experience. We have stayed in other Premier Inns around the country and this is the first time we have been this disappointed. We arrived two days early on the Island and booked a small cheap and cheerful B&B for those two nights and in hindsight I would have stayed there for the rest of the week. It was a fraction of the cost and much more friendly and comfortable. My advice to anyone thinking of staying would be forget any chance of Wi-Fi and certainly don’t be tempted to pay extra, it still didn’t work. I won’t ever stay in this particular Inn again for the above reasons.
