We stayed in Cabin 15. We are not typical campers and you don't need to be. The set up is so good that you can just rock up with a sleeping bag. The facilities were good and they had all the pots, pans, plates and cutlery that you would need, they even had skewers to toast marshmallows! Each cabin / tent has decking, a picnic bench and its own fire pit which you can cook over. Jimmy, the owner, was very helpful. The site is in the middle of a lovely park and we enjoyed a lovely walk. You could walk to the nearby beach. We had good weather and enjoyed a dip in the sea. Our camp cooking was very successful. Who knew that you could barbecue potato waffles!
Well done Jimmy.

We stayed as a group of 4 families and it had everything we needed to have a really enjoyable weekend.

The site was easy to get to following the instructions that were given by the site (Google maps got a bit confused trying to send us to a different entrance but we followed the road signs). Once we arrived there is pace to park by each tent leaving a nice open space in the middle which we, and others at the site, could use for games with the kids.

Each tent had a barbecue pit which we used for cooking but also to make a fire in the evening. There was also an electric grill under shelter which we used when it was raining and for making breakfast before we left. The grill ended up being very useful.

When we were told there was tea and coffee available we were expecting a few sachets and teabags each but the kitchen was amply stocked for all 10 tents.

The toilet bloke was always clean stocked up with loo roll so no threat of being caught short.

The tent itself was the perfect size for a family of 4 with a trunk to store bits in and room to sleep or relax. The heater was a great touch and more than adequate to keep the tent warm at night.

The location was perfect for taking a young family with plenty of things to do including a great play area within 10 minutes walk.

There is a tesco extra within 10 minutes drive so was easy to pick up food or anything that is forgotten when packing. The site also had some takeaway menus inside the kitchen area of the campsite and the nearby cafe had pasties and pizzas as well as sandwiches. There was also a guy selling coffee by the entrance if you fancy walking to the beach area.

The person running the site, Jim, was brilliant. He was friendly and never seemed too far away if you needed him. All 4 families we were with were very happy and would go back to the site.

Really enjoyed our stay for 3 nights. Set up has everything needed for a chilled vibe and no fuss.
Everyone so friendly, including all the staff. So fantastic to see kids playing football and families mixing in a safe and confined area. Think a total of 15 tents so not huge but lovely atmosphere. Tents have electric fires in, light and plugs. Warm and really clean, beds comfy just took quilts and pillows. Bbq outside tent and facilities for cooking and breakfast area too, fridges and freezers for storage The toilets and showers cleaned daily.
Great location have rebooked already and would definitely recommend it for a relax and chilled stay.

The bell tent was spacious, clean and comfortable. The facilities are very clean and the kitchenette has everything you could need from cups and crockery to tea, coffee and fresh milk.
There is also a covered cooking area with a large hot plate.
The site feels safe and secure and athe staff were very friendly and helpful.
The surrounding Country Park has loads to do, play parks, miniature train and there's a lovely walk to Hamble.
Very good value for money.
We will be back

Our family has been coming here for 3 years now and it's been amazing every year.

Bell tents are roomy and cosy with lights, plugs with USB slots, really comfy raised beds, carpets and a heater that is pretty good at taking the chill off the evenings. There is also a bbq/firepit, we all had great fun collecting wood for this.
.
There are male and female toilet/shower blocks that are cleaned regularly.

The atmosphere on site is fantastic, we have always got on really well with others on site it feels like you are with friends.

The surroundings in Royal Victoria Park are beautiful, it also has a huge kids play area and has trampolines, mini golf in the summer, there is also a miniature train on site as well as a great cafe.

Jim is the best host, really friendly and polite always asking if you are OK, hewould do anything to help you and interacts with everyone on site everyday. My son Harley made great friends with him and helped pick up the litter on site for which Jim kindly rewarded him, it was a nice gesture as it made him feel proud and very important.

The is a big Tesco nearby so stocking up is easy. also a great chippy, a couple of pubs also a few takeaways deliver to site.

If you are after a huge step up from the family tent this site is a must visit, we can't wait to book again next year

Thanks to Jim and the whole team for another great year and we will see you again next year.

Regards The Evans Family

We went with no expectations as we had planned to book a hotel but as they were either fully booked or crazily expensive, I saw this and thought it could be fun and was cheaper than a hotel.
The tent was comfortable and we had plenty of room. The heater made it lovely and cosy. The beds were really good and we all slept well.
The campsite is great - the kitchen, shower and toilet facilities are clean and of a good standard. It was also lovely having a table and place to have BBQs and campfires.
The location is amazing as you can go for adventures in the forest, take a trip on the mini railway, walk on the beach and play in the great play parks.
The owner was really helpful and welcoming.
Our children (4 and 9) made friends with children in the next tent and they could safely play around the site - so they had a great time and it was quite relaxing for the adults.
The campsite was nice and quiet at night so we slept well.
We’d love to go back and are already planning our next trip!

First time (camping or Glamping) and this has been brilliant we did one night in a bell tent and the other in a cabin and we thoroughly enjoyed both.the site it's self is brilliant it is a lovley size so you feel safe and it actually feels like a holiday site. The thought that's gone into the kitchen and grill is brilliant and has everything you need. big thank you to the cleaners because the shower and toilet block were absolutely immaculate I was so shocked how clean they were. also John the owner that sorted out things for us and Jim the site manager who was very friendly and there available at any time if you need anything or had any questions.what a lovley site you have and you're hard work and dedication is very much appreciated. We will definitely be coming back every year.

Stayed 2 years ago and had a great time. Revisited recently and the place has reallly gone down hill. The guy with the dog that used to live there has apparently moved on and standards have dropped. Some of the lodgings resemble garden sheds and the whole place has more of a commune/traveller vibe than a glamping place.
Cars were parked everywhere, even on the roads outside the site and toilet facilities weren’t clean. Wouldnt revisit. Such a shame as there’s a great local bakery, shops and a butchers all within walking distance (if you forgot your food like us!) through the park but they need to pay attention to the small things and the people that live on site don’t seem interested in helping when there’s a problem

This was real experience of camping made easy, everything had been thought of with heaters in tents (that don’t get hot on outside so no burn risk but keep tent seriously cosy warm) plugs (enabling phone charge), plug in light, cooler box etc. The site is really well equipped with clean toilets and shower block etc and John couldn’t have been more helpful, friendly and keen to ensure everyone had a good time. We enjoyed it so much we are already booked to go back in 3 weeks!
