This going to be a strange one? We arrived at reception and were greeted in a friendly manner after that it went slightly downhill, it became very officious to the extent and I quote “ You do realise you have to pay £15 for parking” Ok I said, then “ if you had booked directly you wouldn’t have to” we booked through Hotels.com by the way. Ok I said, then, it will be added you bill when you leave! fair enough. I was just a little startled by the approach. In fairness neither the hotel nor the booking company had forewarned us. After that, the experience went rapidly on the up, the rooms were excellent, the only downside would be the stairs I guess if you affected by that sort of thing. We decided to stay in so the evening meal was adequate, the crab cakes were a little tasteless I thought and having stayed in two previous hotels the prior evenings we were a bit poshed out for the main course so we opted for the burger this was absolutely fine so i can’t comment on the rest of the menu. Note the main restaurant is closed two days a week. The breakfast however was another story it was excellent the best of the three. I should also mention the bar staff and the restaurant staff again were excellent, they of course were the one and the same. So as I stated at the beginning a bit of a strange review all in all the hotel is pretty faultless really and I would recommend staying here. Oh by the way if you’re holidaying here it’s on a rather step hill from the town.

Make sure you book directly with the Hotel for the best rates/offers and free parking. We booked a Spring Break which was a good deal for 4 nights which included breakfasts, a 3-course dinner in the Dining Room on our first night and dinner in the Brasserie on two other nights. The food was all excellent and beautifully presented. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful, including newbie Sheldon. The Spa was nice, but despite trying to book Spa treatments three days ahead there were none available. Apparently you need to book treatments at least a week ahead. We’ll happily return.

Wow what can I say!! From start to finish our stay was superb. We checked in at 3 with the lovely receptionist who was happy and informative. We stayed in the signature refurbished suite which was lovely. We changed into our robes and headed straight to the spa. We ordered drinks which were promptly brought to our table and enjoyed a 3 hour spa session before we had dinner at 7. We booked into the restaurant and the menu and food was honestly the best we’ve had in years. We’ve eaten at a lot of ‘ upper bracket’ restaurants, but the food at the Lincombe was top notch. It was small, elegant, and full of gorgeous flavours. The Waitress was happy and courteous. And special thanks to ade for tracking down a charger for me, as I’d left mine as home!! I couldn’t fault the food at all. The breakfast was gorgeous as well. The chefs really know what they’re doing and deserve a-lot of recognition. It would have been nice to have a quick spa session before check out at 11, but after a long lie in and big breakfast we ran out of time! But we will most certainly be back! The hotel is clean, modern, with a retro twist. The staff all seem happy and enjoy their job, which shows! Everyone couldn’t do enough for you. The price we paid for a beautiful room, spa use, 3 course meal and breakfast was honestly amazing, and I’ve had happily paid more! If you go here, you won’t be disappointed!

We booked into the Hotel for 3 nights. The atmosphere in the hotel is fantastic. All the staff are extremely courteous and friendly, nothing is too much trouble for them. The breakfast choice is very varied and beautifully cooked and prepared. I sampled the cod and pouched egg on whole meal toast. Their full English breakfast with hog patties, homemade sausage, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms and bacon. Vegetarian options are also very nice . Lots of fresh fruit juices and homemade smoothies, I particularly liked the kewi, spinach and lime option. All cereals available with porridge with various toppings options. Fresh fruit with various yoghurts with coulis toppings or granola and blueberries. As much toast as you like with loads of choice of jams, honey, marmalade or marmite. Fresh croissants and muffins etc. There are plenty of options from poached eggs salmon etc. Everyone should be happy with the selections. There are two restaurant options either the brasserie or dining room. With lovely menu choices. The rooms have super king beds and are beautifully clean the showers are powerful and hot water plentiful. There is a large tea and coffee selection including Decaf and fruit teas and hot chocolate. Biscuits change daily and lovely. You have a choice of pillows and can keep the goose feather or have an hypoallergenic option available. The temperature of the rooms is good which you can control yourself. The curtains are nice and thick so it's dark in the bedroom,if you fancy and lie in. Room service is available. The Spa is wonderful and guests can book a variety of treatments. The pool, Jacuzzis are lovely. There is a dry sauna, Himalayan salt sauna, ice room and aroma therapy stream sauna. Cold bucket shower and a hot shower. They bring your drinks and cocktails to you in the pool. Hair Dryers and hair straighteners are available in the changing rooms along with toiletries. No lift available, however staff will help with luggage if required I am sure you will all have a truly lovely experience.

Ticked all the boxes you would expect Staff were excellent always professional readily available but never intrusive Rooms were lovely All meals including dinner and afternoon tea were of really high standard and thoroughly enjoyable. I particularly liked the smoothie shots and granola yoghurt pots with breakfast What really sets this place apart is the spa which is fab with a very unique hydrotherapy pool set up. Also the fact adults only. I have children and didn’t really acknowledge the “ adult only “ as a factor when booking but actually when you are on a relaxing spa break away from your own children not having toddlers running around screaming in the pool or being understandably loud during dinner is a huge bonus !! I would agree with one of the other review that the piped music everywhere seemed loud to us but we are probably too old to appreciate 🤣🤣🥰

We booked this Spa hotel to celebrate my sister’s birthday and stayed for 3 nights. We stayed in their 2-bed apartment which was lovely and clean. We ate all our meals there - two dinners were included but even on the third night we ate there as we just liked everything about the place. They have a really lovely spa which was handy as the apartment just has one bathroom so we would go for a morning swim just round the corner in their spa. We were three generations of holiday makers and all loved staying there and enjoyed their spa. The staff are helpful, courteous and made our stay really enjoyable. A big thank you from us! Would highly recommend - I think this place tends to be booked for special occasions as we saw another couple spending their birthday, and you won’t be disappointed.

Lived up to expectations. Welcoming and friendly service, comfortable rooms and public areas. Went on a 2 night Winter Warmer offer, terrific value for the price, all meals taken were very good especially the 3 course included dinner. The best Spa facilities in our experience, very relaxing. Only one small niggle, the awful choice of music being piped constantly into the Lounges and Brasserie, much too loud. Defied conversation and the singer's were not very good, would much prefer a gentle instrumental background sound as it is in the Spa.

Adding some balance after the bitter 1* reviews I’ve seen from some of the morons on here. I really can’t stand it when crusty oldies try to sabotage small businesses because they didn’t meet their ludicrous demands. I thought this place was a bargain for what we received - 2 night stay including breakfast & dinner both nights for less than you’d pay for one night room only at the instagram famous places. Food was good, it didn’t blow my mind but the service in every single aspect was superb. Could do with a better wine list and champagne by the glass but I’m being picky. The spa, for what is a small hotel, I thought was genuinely excellent - my wife had a 2 hour treatment and absolutely loved it, I really enjoyed the various rooms (steam/sauna/ice etc) as well as the jacuzzi and lap pool. The room was clean and large (we had one of the Signature rooms) - it’s not 5* balling off a budget but the hotel does not claim to be. In summary this is a very good 4* hotel with incredibly committed staff who couldn’t have really done any more for us whilst we were there.
