A group of friends and I booked to have afternoon tea here for a Book Club meeting and to celebrate two ‘special’ birthdays. From the moment we arrived the service we received was excellent. Staff are polite, friendly and extremely helpful and we were seated in a lovely garden

A nice building that has been very sympathetically renovated and decorated. Beware that access is down a very narrow lane so don't attempt with a motorhome or caravan. Reception was a bit weird - who I guessed was the owner or manageress seemed surprised to have visitors

Thank you for your review and I am pleased you had a nice time. With regards to the access, our large delivery lorries (HGVs) do come down the same lane so it is not too narrow for wider and high sided vehicles, though having never towed a caravan, I can't say how difficult it would be towing! We can or course help with baggage and would certainly have been happy to do so as detailed on our confirmation emails when booking, and I am sorry this service was not offered to you. It does take staff only about 20 minutes to set up for breakfast so we are ready to go 10 minutes or so before 8am usually. We do mention in the welcome letters that if you wish to check out before 8am to arrange this with reception the night before as we are more than happy to provide an earlier check out (and often an earlier breakfast) if required. If you stay again and wish to have an earlier start than the times mentioned on the welcome letters, do let us know and we will be more than happy to arrange the breakfast and check out for you. Kind regards

How much is breakfast if you book room only deal?
We had half-board arrangement, but I suspect about £12-15 per head. Cooked breakfast was good, buffet disappointing in range and quality. Nowhere local to walk to for breakfast, so I would think you would need to drive to breakfast places....
