We stayed at the hotel for a few days this first month of the year, and, without a doubt, it was necessary to say that it was a perfect stay in every way. Relax, comfort and excellent service. Room with good views and with enough benefits to spend some excellent days of calm in Perpignan.

As others have said, the pictures shown of the exterior are deceiving. It is an older Ibis style of hotel. Completely functional just not pretty. Rooms were spacious and clean with toiletries and in room tea and coffee provided. On site parking is helpful. Chap on reception was friendly and check in was fuss free, even with my dog. Tad disappointed that when I enquiried about the pool I was shown their outside pool and being the 6Nov I decided against it. It’s a shame they didn’t tell me about their offer to use the aquatic centre opposite (the domes in their PR), as I would have. Location is an industrial estate but despite that there were 3 good restaurants within a 4 minute safe walk. Ideal for a functional stop over and a plus being dog friendly.

LOCATION: you need a car to get there; note that the hotel is located 15' driving from Perpignan; not a particularly attractive area, but pretty safe nevertheless PREMISES: this is a former Best Western hotel, now operated by Hosteletour, in Ibis style so don't look for a lot of atmosphere here. POOL - WARNING: the pictures on the hotel's web site are deceiving, as they show the dome and pools of the spa which is located in front of the hotel, and for which you have to pay extra. The hotel itself has a small unheated and not very attractive pool in the parking lot. SERVICE: front desk staff was friendly, but got my reservation wrong (wanted me to pay while it had been prepaid) RESTAURANT: didn't try it, went to the nearby top-rated AbSix instead (across the street). BREAKFAST: not particularly good choice and essentially too expensive for what was on offer ROOM: efficient and quiet, without thrills. WiFi: not that fast but workable OVERALL: just okay as a place for an overnight stay when moving on the next day

After struggling to find a room in Perpignan city due to the Photo Journalism festival being on and facing a few dismissive/rude receptionists,I headed on the motorbike to the only Logis de France around in Castenaby which was also booked out, The receptionist sent me further down the road in Saleilles, about 8km or 10-15mn from Perpignan center, at first site in the mid day heat this industrial estate didn't look like much but to my surprise, the reception was very friendly, helpful and courteous, they offered me a "soiree etape" diner & breaky included for 89 Euros, the place was cool and pleasant, room comfortable, clean, good WiFi, the staff attended to any requests or questions in a professional & friendly manner, felt like it was family run ? they work with a couple of restaurants within walking distance for their inclusive diner, I recommend Sancho Panza, the Breakfast is plenty and on site, there is a swimming pool at the back to cool down and a balcony to chill out, well done Les Domes, great place, service, pricing ect all done with no fuss and in a very friendly manner, I'll be back when passing by

This was booked as a stopover for two nights whilst driving around France. We were mainly focussed on the secure parking offered by the hotel but the overall impression was disappointing. When we arrived, it wasn’t obvious which building was the hotel as the domed building opposite is what we first thought because of the name and the photo used on the website and publicity material, but it’s not. The hotel is the building on the other side of the road and is just a standard hotel with no dome. It was immediately apparent that the gated secure parking is only gated at one end, and was never shut while we were there, so there is constant access to anyone. On arrival, check-in was fine and the chap on reception was very friendly. When we got to the room though it absolutely stank of cigarette smoke despite there being no smoking signs around the hotel and in the room. Because I didn’t want us to be accused of causing it and it was unbearable, I went to reception. I’ll be honest, I was expecting to be offered another room as it was within five minutes of checking in. No, he said he had an excellent odour spray but we’d have to leave the room for fifteen minutes while it settled. He was right, it got rid of the cigarette smell mostly but then we had another 24 hours of chemical smell to deal with. There wasn’t a fridge in the room either which is problematic in the summer in this area. The location is bizarre. It’s a combination of holiday resort and commercial park as well as some light industrial units and a spa. None of it seems to go together and to get anywhere else you’d have to drive. There were a few restaurants within walking distance but would need careful reading of reviews and menus before choosing to go to one. It really didn’t represent good value for money given we spent similar amounts elsewhere for much higher quality rooms. It would seem fine for a stopover of one night but should be about £60 per night when we spent £90.
