The grounds are very well taken care of and the Adirondack chairs out on the front lawn was the perfect place to zip on a G & T and watch the sun go down. The Hotel has no restaurant, but serves continental breakfast, except during COVID 19 only has tea and coffee. understandable! He takes the Virus danger very seriously and we felt save at all times.
Great place and would definitely stay again if we are in central NL again for and extended period of time.
You could hear noise from the hallway.
Close to restaurants. Family run with caring management.
Breakfast included.
In fact there isn't much to get excited about in Grand Falls except for the salmon interpretation centre and the Station restaurant.
For the money charged, I would expect better bedding. The bedding was such one would expect in a no-tell motel. The towels were cheap and scratchy. The furnishings are what one expect in a college dorm, cheap and institutional. The breakfast was poor - watery juices, dried pastries and bread. The front desk staff lacked even the most rudimentary knowledge of the area. Upon asking where we could go for an ice-cream, we were told 'nowhere in this town!'
Unfortunately, there are very limited options in GFW. For a town this size, located on the highway, one would expect either a chain or that the local hoteliers would improve their facilities!
