Had a very good 2 night stay at this hotel when passing through Grand Falls. There were only a couple of other rooms occupied, so we certainly felt comfortable in spite of Covid, and it was certainly quiet. The room was quite small, but had everything we needed. We were told the continental breakfast was scaled down from what was normally offered, but we had no problem getting enough to eat. We were the only one eating in the breakfast area on both mornings. There was lots of hot water for showers in the mornings and ice was conveniently available in a freezer in the hotel lobby. We could walk to the downtown area, although, like most downtown areas these days, there wasn’t a lot there. It was located very close to the highway exits so not hard to find or get to. Would certainly stay again if returning to this area.

We spent 2 nights at the Robin Hood Hotel and enjoyed every minute. The place was clean and the room was just as good. we had a great chat with the Host Graham and learned all about the history of the place and his life.
The grounds are very well taken care of and the Adirondack chairs out on the front lawn was the perfect place to zip on a G & T and watch the sun go down. The Hotel has no restaurant, but serves continental breakfast, except during COVID 19 only has tea and coffee. understandable! He takes the Virus danger very seriously and we felt save at all times.
Great place and would definitely stay again if we are in central NL again for and extended period of time.

We had a queen room on the second floor, on the side of the bldg. Older, well maintained, hotel with a comfy bed and very quiet. The room was fairly small but had everything we needed for a one night stay. Breakfast was more than we expected. Choices of hot or cold cereals, milk, juice, coffee, toast, muffins or bagels, with jams or peanut butter, yogurt and hard boiled eggs. The front desk staff were very helpful during check in to find a place to eat and at check out, giving us baggies to put ice to keep its cold.

This is an old hotel that is well maintained. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was old school but there was lots of space. It was clean. The continental breakfast in the morning provided all you needed - there's a toaster for bagels or bread, fruit cups, yogurt, juice, coffee etc. The gentlemen was replenishing everything regularly.

You could hear noise from the hallway.

Had a pleasant stay at Hotel Robin Hood and a great talk with the owner’s son at breakfast in the morning. Room was clean and comfortable, bathroom was clean, and we were given a room on the first floor which was handy for my dad who has mobility issues. Updates were being done in the hotel which will make it even better.

Check in was easy and the staff very friendly. Staff also helped with questions about the area. Would stay again. Breakfast was good and check out was also easy. The facility was clean and the hotel was quiet at night even though full.

Big clean room with 2 queen size beds overlooking a memorial park. Great place for a walk and sit. Nicely decorated. Obviously new decor. Super comfortable beds.
Close to restaurants. Family run with caring management.
Breakfast included.

If you don't mind hearing your neighbor flushing his toilet, or compact fluorescent lighting, or rock-hard pillows, or the smell of smoke when you walk into your room, then this is the place for you! Breakfast is very basic, so don't hold your breath there.

In fact there isn't much to get excited about in Grand Falls except for the salmon interpretation centre and the Station restaurant.

We were given a marginal and very hesitant recommendation for this establishment. And after staying there the first time, I know why. It pains me to admit that circumstances dictated we stay a second time! In the future, we'll stay in Deer Lake or Gander and make the lengthy drive back and forth!

For the money charged, I would expect better bedding. The bedding was such one would expect in a no-tell motel. The towels were cheap and scratchy. The furnishings are what one expect in a college dorm, cheap and institutional. The breakfast was poor - watery juices, dried pastries and bread. The front desk staff lacked even the most rudimentary knowledge of the area. Upon asking where we could go for an ice-cream, we were told 'nowhere in this town!'

Unfortunately, there are very limited options in GFW. For a town this size, located on the highway, one would expect either a chain or that the local hoteliers would improve their facilities!
