Lets start with the positive things first. The entire hotel has been renovated, so the property both inside and outside are well maintained, clean and attractive to the eye. There's no foul smells, or old and musty smells. The room was complete with all the necessary storage options, a large TV, comfy beds and all the amenities needed in the bathroom (including shampoo and conditioner bottles on the wall...not those little tiny bottles that a woman with long hair can't even use). Front staff was friendly and efficient. The only issue I had here was it was 4 pm on a Friday when we were checking in and there was only 1 person doing the check in's. There was a long line and we had to wait quite some time before we could check in. I would recommend a second staff member for busy check in times to make things run a bit smoother. Now, the negatives. The first negative I had was the staff early in the morning. One of our group members became ill during our trip. We called at 5:30 am to see if the room we had was still available so we could extend our stay. The staff member was impatient on the phone and did not want to assist us. The first excuse they gave us was that we couldn't make a reservation on the phone and we had to do it in person... (ummmm....aren't most reservations either made online or on the phone????) and that we had to wait to 8 am when the next shift was in. When I mentioned that our original reservation was made via phone, he then changed his tune and said 'he didn't want to make the reservation for us as his shift was almost over". We ended up not staying. Second complaint was the lack of night time security in the hallways. We travel a lot for kids sporting events (that's why we were here). Our kids sporting events start very early in the mornings (we're typically up anywhere between 5 am and 6 am). So when there's teenage kids in the hallways, running up and down, yelling, laughing, carrying on and making huge amounts of noise at 2 am in the morning, this is a concern. There was a security camera located in the hallway so unless it's there for show or not being watched by staff, there's no way this behaviour should be allowed to continue. ( I know that parents are responsible for their kids...but lets be honest and realize not all parents 'parent' their kids, otherwise this wouldn't have happened).

We had a great time at the hotel. We had a large group and and must give our thanks to Diane who was working the most of the time while we were there. She did a great job of managing our group and the other groups. Can't be an easy job as 30 kids walking at 10:00 at night from a hockey game. We appreciate all of her efforts and assistance while we were there!

Plain Jane basic hotel that would benefit from making some more environmentally-friendly investments. Could definitely use an EV charger or two. And needs to get away from single use dishware - especially plastic cutlery - at breakfast.

Nicely renovated, Better then expected. Visiting family in the city and needed a place where our Wheaton Terrier could stay as some family members allergic to dogs. Not much choice so picked this 2 story motel style chain with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. Very comfortable bed, nice bare bathroom, decent but modest breakfast included . No EV charging on site but a ChargePoint location a 5 minute walk away.

The website says pet friendly. We booked a room for two nights and drove from Ottawa for a last minute trip on behalf of someone else. We arrived at about 10.30 after a five hour drive, and the clerk simply said ‘no pets’. I explained that the website clearly said pet friendly, and that our dogs would be kenneled, but he just repeated no pets, no pets. He then told us that pets are only welcome on the ground floor and that he had no ground floor rooms left. Then he proceeded to check in fifteen Asian travellers who did not understand the process while studiously avoiding us. Eventually, after twenty five minutes and a lot of arguing, he agreed to give us a zero charge cancellation receipt, otherwise we would have been on the hook for $372 on a non-refundable room. He was so very rude, so very unpleasant, I will never stay at a Comfort Inn again as long as I live. Being five hours from home, late at night with two very tired little dogs, a crying wife and nowhere to sleep is a very unpleasant experience, facilitated by Comfort Inn. Eventually we found an alternative place by about midnight, but by that time we had to go to bed without having eaten all day, and are 30kms from where we need to be.

The hotel and rooms were clean and the staff were relatively friendly. The walls are thin and the breakfast is mediocre. Because most rooms on the upper level had adjoining doors, we could hear everything happening in the room adjacent. This is something to keep in mind when you don't know the people next to you or if you're depending on a good night's sleep. The breakfast was your classic hotel breakfast - make-it-yourself waffles, sausages, toast, apples and yogurt. Nothing fancy!

We arrived to have a night with cousins. Cathy Denni checked us in. She was friendly & made check in fast & efficient. I had asked where would be a good restaurant to eat. She suggested nearby Cousins Restaurant. She also told them to say we were staying at Comfort Inn. At the restaurant we told them that. It was my husband's 75th. They gave him a free dessert. Our room was comfy & free breakfast was tasty & quite a variety.

I have travelled extensively, normally staying in 4-5 star hotels and have previously worked for a very high end hotel near the airport many years ago. I know and understand the industry and as a result, have very high expectations when I travel. Due to a medical emergency with a member of our family, I found myself needing to stay close to the Newmarket Hospital. The closest, available option was the Comfort Inn. I must admit that when we were driving up to the front I was concerned about what kind of stay we were going to have however that immediately changed the moment we walked into the lobby and only got better as the stay continued. This hotel has been an absolute blessing to my family through this terrible ordeal. The staff have been so kind and helpful. They’ve gone above and beyond to help us which included making sure to let me know if there was any cancellations so that we could extend our stay, which they did. The price is amazing and it was so helpful to have the breakfast. It’s incredibly convenient being able to use the side door to get in and out quickly. The location is perfect. Super close to numerous restaurants and 5 minutes from the hospital. The hotel is spotless. The cleaning staff are doing an incredible job. The beds are comfortable and the bedding is great. Real duvets and many good pillows. Bathroom was super clean as well. I love the fact that they have some treats and food items to buy in the lobby. There was a sliding door to the outside from the room that was wonderful to be able to side just outside for fresh air when needed. They have ice water with lemon in the lobby which I loved having. The other amazing thing about this hotel is that it is quiet!!! This is extremely rare and meant so much to us while we were going through so much as a family. The computer and printer in the lobby was super helpful as well. There is a real family atmosphere among the staff and I can tell that they all are a very happy crew. This gave me a sense of home when I needed it most. Thank you so much to the wonderful staff. The owners should be very proud.

Not greeted when I arrived, very unfriendly Asian woman at the front desk did not speak nor understand English, argued with me about requests made to Choice when booking 2 rooms, very condescending and rude. I would never stay here again ,nor reccomend it to anyone. The rooms are about as big as a shoebox, and there seems to be alot of sketchy people around, lady in housecoat sitting outside, guys coming and going ,leaving with small packages, for 161.00 a night I could've had a suite at Casino Rama, this hotel is a joke. They have taken a regular sized room and made 2 rooms out it, barely squeeze by your bed and desk.. Save your money, go to the Holiday Inn ,five minutes down the 404! The housekeeping staff is amazing, rooms were spotless, kudos to them!

A good hotel unless you're very demanding. Excellent COVID-19 precautions. Room was only average. Had to sit at the desk or on a bed. Heating system came on with a roar, but otherwise the hotel was very quiet. Very clean. Pleasant check-in & checkout. Excellent place to overnight if you have early or late appointments at Southlake Regional Hospital, only 2 km. away. If I could rate it a 3 and 1/2, I would. Not a 4* but better than 3*
