We really enjoyed our two stayings in Boca Chica in the Residencia De La Marina. We've chosen this B&B because it was the cheapest of Boca Chica and we were not disappointed : very clean room, a very good breakfast, a very warmy welcome and the advantage to be in the center of a typical panamean village. Marina is fantastic and know all the persons who can permit you to spend a nice holiday in the Chiriqui's gulf. We recommand it to all of the persons who would like to spent time in Boca Chica !

I visit Boca Chica several times a year to meet up with friends and this last time I found a great new place to stay, Residencia De la Marina. It has recently opened in the village and is run by a wonderful Italian family. They are very hospitable and it feels like home away from home. The rooms are basic but nicely decorated and very clean. The breakfast is wonderful, home-made bread with cheese, eggs and home made sweet pastries for only $5. They don't have a restaurant but they are happy to make you dinner if you wish and the food is tasty Italian home cooking at just $10. The owner Marina is also a wonderful massage therapist.....I stayed three nights and had two great massages! The hotel is very convenient as it is one minute walk to the dock where you can rent a boat for a trip around the islands. I had a great whale watching tour. The value for money is excellent at just $35/per room, it can't be beaten in the area. I really enjoyed my stay and I will certainly be visiting next time I am in Boca Chica.

Originally booked a one night stay but ended up staying a total of 3 nights because the hosts were so nice and accommodating until we checked out and the male owner lost his cool after being questioned about the charges we had to pay and lied about the prices of dinner, failed to let us know that every time you ask for a clean towel it’s 5 dollars, we asked for laundry with line dry only (according to their listed price was $5) but they used the dried without our knowledge and charged us $10 instead - clothes were damped by the way. There’s no hot water (standard in Panama) room full of cobwebs and windows broken so mosquitoes were unavoidable in the room.
When I asked for breakdown of charges he got upset and started accusing me that I’m calling him a liar and saying that $5 for a towel should not be a big deal to me like I shouldn’t worry because it’s only $5. Again it’s the nickel and diming and surprise charges that’s the problem.
So be prepared for surprise charges, 2nd hand smoke, and possibly a very angry Italian.
Lara the wife is very nice and sweet.

Great and simple accommodation place next to the sea. Lara and Massimo created a beautiful place where you can get in touch easily with other travelers. The atmosphere is really warm and Lara and Massimo are helping to arrange a lot of excursions to close beaches or via bus to other destinations. We had a great time at the Residencia and we will come back, if possible.

The rooms we had were good a/c was amazing she accommodated all 3 of us into one room. Only downfall was you weren’t allowed to use the kitchen or anything other than utensils. At the end of our trip we decided to do a boat tour to the private islands and told the wife about it and she recommended a place to book it so we did so later on upon check out we came back she asked about it and we told them about it and how great our experience was. Her husband overheard us and became very hostile and rude because he does tours and wanted us to book with him when we never got told he did tours when we asked his wife about them and the rest of evening before we left he was rude the whole time and was hinting at us to just leave already.
And he had the audacity to ask us if we can read, cause he was angry we supported someone else in community other than him, I felt like his greed really did sink in cause he wasn’t making anything off us for a tour.

This was a nice little find back from our trip from Boquete. A bit of a drive off the main highway but the road was good. This is a nice little town with good views. The staff were excellent and the food was delicious.

This is a quaint hostel-type place with private rooms and showers. The rooms are basic., with A/C and comfortable beds. The owners are great hosts and enjoy their guests. The town of Boca Chica is small with little to do but enjoy the friendly, charming atmosphere and tasty local food.

New owners Lara and Massimo are very hospitable and helpful. The breakfasts were very tasty, and the prepared an Italian dinner for us one night. Very good and fun to share with the hosts. Our room was comfortable, but we should have opted for one with A/C. Lara packed us a cooler with cold water for our beach outings and arranged an island tour for us.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Marina and her family. I hurt my foot and they assisted in any way they could. The room was clean and thoughtfully appointed, the food was outstanding and they were very informed about the area. Would definitely recommend.

Nous n'avons jamais réservé pendant le séjour.D'ailleurs nous sommes arrivé a Boca chica sous une pluie torrentielle et de nuit, avec justement l’appréhension de ne rien trouvé car c'est la seule maison d’hôte.
Je n'ai pas les coordonnées désolé...si vous aimez réservez avant de partir il faut savoir que boca est minuscule mais il y a d'autres îles autour et surtout en face(5mn en bateau) ou vous pourrez vous logez.Bon voyage.....
