Stayed at this hotel for 3 nights during a recent ski safari in the Dolomites. The welcome from the staff was very warm and the evening meals in the Stubbe were well cooked and presenteted. There was also a good, reasonably priced wine selection to complement the meals. The ski bus leaves direrctly outside the hotel and the spa area is nice to relax in after a day on the mountain. It would be good to return to this hotel next season.

A lot of work done on the public areas and dining facilities, without losing the charm of a traditional hotel. Rooms are comfortable, although the bathrooms could do with a bit of updating. Food is good and wine reasonably priced. Good breakfasts. Convenient to ski bus to Ortisei (hourly).
Warning - after 5pm the jacuzzi and sauna are "Finnish style" (naked) after 5pm and not suitable for families or Brits!

We stayed at the hotel as the first and last night of our amazing Dolomite Ski Safari with Inspired Italy (you must do this if you want the best alpine downhill piste skiing holiday in the Dolomites).

The Hotel Platz was absolutely perfect for our first and last nights. Warm, friendly, welcoming, good food, and comfortable rooms. Yes a few of the rooms could do with a bit of updating - our first night was in a recently refurbished one and the last night in a slightly older one - both very good for tired skiers who'd fed and watered well in the bar and restaurant.

The hotel is 5k and 15 minutes bus away from beautiful Ortisei, in a beautiful hamlet with a few houses and a pretty church on one of the roads to Alpe di Siusi.
It is really a charming place.
We stayed in the new wing, a spacious suite, new, modern, comfortable, with a nice balcony. Great breakfast and even better food in the evening thanks to the chef expertise. Good choice of wines.

This is a lovely option in Bulla. The entire staff including Barbara, Leopold and his brother Andreus ( spelling?) go out of their way to help you. It’s right by the church and you can soak up the village flavor. The food is solid and accommodations work well - large European clientele. Not fancy but certainly enjoyable!!!

Booked as a low cost-last minute option for a bicycle event in the Dolomites, A friend and I didn't have a clue what to expect. On a whim we included the halfboard option. Great choice on both counts. This hotel is a solid three star with lots of atmosphere, friendly staff and great food. The dinner on both nights was a five course fixed menu that included vegetables and herbs from a nearby garden. We a few beers and cappuccini on the terrace overlooking a spectacular view of the Italian Alps. The hotel is a few miles up the mountain from the town of Ortisei and there isn't much around except for farms, a picturesque church and other guest houses, but the relaxing atmosphere more than makes up for its remoteness. I'm already planning to bring the family back for a hiking weekend.

Just spend 3 nights at the Hotel Platz in Bulla, 10min drive up from Ortisei. Was a little concerned about not being walking distance to the ski lifts but that fear quickly left. You can either take the ski bus every 30 min, or just drive 10min and park all day for €6. The staff at the hotel were amazing, extremely friendly and full of advice. The view is great, the room clean and very relaxing to come home to after all day on the hills, and the food is out of this world. I don't doubt the prices are also significantly cheaper than what you would pay down in the valley but the atmosphere would simply not be the same. I almost forgot to mention the two saunas and indoor pool, heaven. Though I was there with my fiancé (and found it quite romantic), you could easily have fun with your family, friends, or apparently even your dogs. There really isn't anything I would change about this place, affordable, full of character, and significantly more convenient than I thought it would be.

A sixth visit to Bulla in seven years and everything was as good as it always is. Great friendly service from Leopold and his team, good food (the prosciutto in crosto on Thursday was a highlight) and as a bonus some of the best snow conditions any of us could recollect.
Definitely hoping to return in 2015.

We wanted a quiet place with beautiful views in a family run atmosphere to spend last Christmas and this hotel delivered more! The location was close to perfect for a family with a small child who didnt need to ski (far from ski lifts). Not to mention the Swiss type chalet, home cooked meals, friendly staff- it just made our stay perfect! We went on the highest season where all the hotels were overpriced but this hotel, perfect as it was for us, charged a fair price - quite rare for the area at this time of the year. Although we couldn't get a balcony room anymore since it was full, the entire location of the hotel has breathtaking views! It's a winter wonderland for those who want to relax. We cannot wait to return to this same hotel over & over (also in summer) and meet wonderful Claudia again - though this time we'll make sure to book our room with a balcony early ;)

Sure, this hotel is not the perfect stop over place but apart from the fact the hotel is more than 20 min drive from the highway we were positively surprised:

The location is very peculiar with a great view onto mountains and Ortisei and the rooms are more than adequate. The surrounding is very quite, perfect sleep at night.

Half-board dinner was excellent and the service was great.

For one of our next hiking trips we will definitely select this hotel!
