Get away from it all, relax and rejuvenate at our comfortable 1860s granite mansion in the midst of the White Mountain National Forest. Settle into one of sixteen spacious guest rooms, individually appointed and all but one with wood-burning fireplaces. Notchland's wonderful 5-course dinner and hearty country breakfast are served in a romantic fireplaced dining room. Hiking, biking, swimming, skiing, kating, antiques, crafts and outlet shopping are close at hand. Notchland ... a magical location.

Staff are so very helpful. The food is absolutely delicious. The 4 course dinner may seem expensive but the 2 hour meal is relaxing and the meals and desserts are made fresh right before being served. Dress casually but eat like kings and queens in a warm and inviting dining

After admiring this lovely inn in its beautiful White Mountain setting for many years after skiing at nearby Bretton Woods, our daughter and her husband gave us a Christmas gift of a long weekend stay at Notchland Inn. Our expectations were high, but the stay was even better

Betty, You can go directly to our website and look at the availability for either the Willard or Sandwich cottages. Or give us a call! There's usually someone available from 10AM to 9PM. I hope your dates and our availability make it possible for you to stay at Notchland.

What kind of a view does the Hancock Room have? What floor is it on?
We have only two floors of guest rooms in the main inn. Hancock is on the second floor. We're in the middle of the mountains in Crawford Notch, so views from all rooms are to the mountains around us. However the views from Hancock are to the hills just outside the room, so there isn't a broad vista. We do have expansive grounds and great views all around us. We look forward to hearing from you.

"I requested a room overlooking the mountain but all the rooms were gorgeous and had there own unique quaintness. We stayed in The Crawford"
"The highway runs right in front of the Inn so there will be road noise if you stay in the main house."
"Each room is unique so really check them out"
"Loved the ‘Bear’ room"
"The suites with additional space, soaking tubs and fireplaces are worth the extra"
