This is a very nice hostel in the town center. Although the guy working here did not speak English he was very friendly. The rooms were good and the kitchen was huge and had everything. We had a great stay here.

Stayed as a group of three for 4 nights. Nothing but good things to say about this place. * Location - only a couple of blocks from the parque central meaning you can walk everywhere. Within walking distance to bus station. * Wifi - Worked well and didn’t cut out * Rooms - We were in room 2. The beds were comfortable. Room was clean. Air conditioning worked well. Hot water in the shower worked. * Kitchen - One of the real highlights of this property was its common spaces. Large very well equiped kitchen with two fridges. Four tables to eat at. Small area outside for smokers or people who prefer to be in the sun. Being able to self cater allowed us to save a lot of money. * Value - 38USD a night for a group of three with private bathroom and air conditioning was good value. * Staff friendly - although not located on site at all times was contactable through WhatsApp * Security - bars on our window. Lock on the front door. Deadlock on our door. 24 hour CCTV in common spaces. Overall a great option for budget to mid range travellers.…

Great customer service. Facilities were clean and welcoming. Check in was great. Andres and Anna are great hosts, very friendly and proactive. Besides, the location is great and nearby city centre. Our room was perfect with good bed and airco. Had a great time and we recommend you to stay here at la fortuna Nothing

I booked for two nights and extended for another two because it was such great value for the location and hotel-like rooms. The beds are really comfy and the towels are fluffy like the ones I have at home! The showers were hot and the rooms were cleaned every two days. The cleaning lady comes everyday and is really really sweet. The kitchen has everything you need and is really spacious with lots of tables & there’s free filtered water (cold). Wifi was amazing and really reliable. I really hope this hostel takes off because I really enjoyed coming back here after a long day :) Best of luck!!
