We loved Khao Sok national park, it was our favourite place we visited in Thailand, and the Jasmine Garden resort was an ideal place to stay. You feel like you are close to nature, but with the comfort of modern, spotlessly clean bungalows with comfortable beds, insect screens on the windows and a good shower.

As other reviews have mentioned, the resort is run by Klaus and Spiderwoman who were excellent hosts. Klaus was very helpful in explaining and arranging the various excursions into the park.

We ate at the restaurant run by Spiderwoman and the food was very good. There are other restaurants and a few convenience stores close by as well. The resort is along the main street, a short walk from the entrance to the park.

This resort is a bit more expensive than others, but was well worth the extra. Do note that they don't take credit cards so you will need cash for the room and the trips. There are several ATMs along the street,

A lovely small hotel located a short walk from the main town although still far enough away to be very quiet at night.

Very clean rooms with a host who is very obliging and able to assist with any queries that we had and also help with making arrangements to trips locally, including to the lake which is around 45 minutes way.

Nice freshly prepared breakfast each day.

The one downside for us at least was that the breakfast area is quite close to the road and could at times be a little noisy although the bungalows are set back well away from the road and not affected at all by the road.

We are a family of three with a young baby. The bungalows are very comfortable. I don't think the photos on booking.com do the resort justice. Everything was spotless. Klaus and his wife, the hosts were very helpful and friendly. Klaus even went out of his way to find a mattress for our travel cot.
If you want to stay slightly away from the jungle and in more comfortable accommodation than jungle huts then I would not hesitate to recommend Jasmine Garden Resort. The resort is still within easy walking distance of the national park and restaurants.

We had a great 3 night stay at Jasmine Garden, klaus is a great host and the place is immaculate! 5 bungalows in total with a lovely swimming pool! Not far from the entrance to the national park and about an hour from the lake.
Klaus arranged the day lake tour for us which was breathtaking and a must!!
An early breakfast was provided by klaus’s wife in the restaurant next door.
Restaurants and shops are a very short walk from Jasmine garden.
I would highly recommend the Jasmine garden!
Thank you Klaus from Kim and Arad!

Small 6 unit hotel with a great location in the very cool little town of Khao Sok. Klaus the owner was friendly and very helpful as he explained our options of things to do and handled the tour bookings. The bungalow was very nice with a big patio. The pool area was nice and a dip in the pool was just the “thing” after doing our excursions. It’s an hour drive from the starting point for the lake tour

Excursion #1 canoe trip 4/5 nice relaxing trip down the river. Lots of monkeys. Had a “coffee break” on the river, where the guides light a campfire and then boil some water and you get coffee in your custom-made bamboo cup. About an hour or so

Excursion #2 Night jungle safari 3/5. Walk through the jungle in the national park and see critters. Spiders snakes frogs monkeys Turk was our guide and he was good. About 2 hours. It was ok

Excursion #3. All day lake tour. #1 recommendation bring earplugs. The Longtail boat ride is LOUD The scenery is outstanding. The cave tour was pretty good. Lunch at the floating bungalows was good with time for swimming and kayaking. The waterfall hike was somewhat challenging as the footing was a little treacherous but doable. The waterfall was dry so not that impressive. Definitely the reason you come to Khao Sok is to see the lake and the scenery didn’t disappoint.

So to sum it up, a trip to Khao Sok is a good choice. The lake is beautiful, the town is really quite neat. And the Khao Sok Jasmine Gardens hotel was a good choice for us.

Host Klaus very friendly and helpful. Great room withaircon and fan, mosquito mesh on windows and door (not a bite in 2days) and very clean. Recliners on veranda.
Nice pool and sun loungers and enough greenery to feel away from hustle and bustle on village street.
Very short walk to restaurants shops pharmacy etc.
A bit noisy with building works next door but that will pass and didn't spoil our stay.
Would definitely return.

Absolutely loved this place, the pictures don't really do it justice, you have to experience it. We arrived in pouring rain but were still mesmerized by the location.

A 90 minute taxi ride from Surat Thani Airport cost us 1800 baht.

We stayed with two kids aged 6 and 10, for 3 nights. The Villas have 2 bedrooms and the design is very well thought out as both rooms have separate access to the bathroom. Villas are lovely and we particularly liked the balcony - sitting out in the evening and spotting the wildlife.

The pool area is also gorgeous and our boys had it to themselves on the days we were there.

Klaus, the owner was informative and helpful. We arranged two trips and both were highlights of our entire holiday. Cheow Lan Lake was spectacular and the kids loved it!! We also went on the Elephant Trek, which was a big hit with the boys.

Spider Woman is a fabulous cook and a lovely host - we had all our breakfasts here and ate two evening meals as well. She also sorted out our onward transport for us, we took a minibus/coach and boat over to Ko Samui.

We loved it here. It's small (only 5 bungalows) and very quiet with amazing views. There's a lovely pool and our 2 bed bungalow was perfect for our needs - super comfy beds, nice big shower and very clean. Really cute touches like folding the towels into animals as well (by the way, LOADS of clean towels made available, unlike some of the larger chains these days where you are lucky to have one towel the size of a postage stamp each). Klaus and Spiderwoman are brilliant hosts - Klaus will sort out all of your trips for you and he was very responsive to any emails I sent and Spiderwoman's cooking is to die for, be it omelette at breakfast or homemade curry. My kids loved her, her chocolate pancakes and banana shakes will live long in their memories. Thanks to you both!
