Our family room was enormous—essentially two connecting large rooms with a huge common deck, looking out on a spectacular view (see photo). We also had the opportunity to see another family room, which was even larger, but it didn’t have the same view. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and have air conditioning, which worked well. WiFi also worked well in the rooms. The grounds are lovely, with a set of elevated walkways through a jungle setting connecting several bungalows. There is a beautiful pool, but we didn’t get a chance to try it out. The staff are friendly and helpful, and will drop everything at a moment’s notice to drive you in to the village or to pick you up. The village is about 5 minutes away. The food at the hotel is good but not great, but probably on a par with other restaurants in the village.

It is possible to reserve any tours you want to take (including overnight tours) once you arrive. They have a standard menu of tour options. We had pre-booked a private tour with Khao Sok Local Guides (highly recommended!), so we can’t speak to the tours through the hotel. They also offered an airport transfer service from Surat Thani.

Also highly recommend the massage place in town (the hotel knows their contact info and can make you a booking).

Definitely worth it to stay here!

We stayed for 4 nights in November and we absolutely loved our stay. The place is pretty new judging from the rooms and whilst this is not 5 star accommodation, it doesn't need to be. The rooms are modern, clean and comfortable with the most fantastic views from the huge balcony. We spent many hours just sat in the big comfy chairs on the balcony just enjoying the views. The setting of the place is just amazing as well, right in the middle of the jungle surrounded by all the noises. As for the owners of the property, I would say they were probably the most genuine, friendly, helpful and hospitable people we have come across at any hotel we have stayed at. From the moment we arrived they set out to make our stay fantastic in every way including teaching us a few words of Thai every day and then getting us to practice them at the next meal time ! Nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was also excellent including the breakfast which was part of the room rate. If you want to go into the main area of Khao Sok the owners will drive you and then give you a phone number to call when you want to come back. It is a decent walk otherwise. There is a swimming pool which was nice to chill out by and have a dip after a long day out in the jungle. Would highly recommend this place and would absolutely stay here again. Loved every minute !

One of the best accommodations we‘ve ever been to on all our travels!

The owners are the nicest people offering authentic hospitality, nice and very clean rooms with AC, the yummiest food and drinks (fresh watermelon and pineapple shakes) at very low prices, organize transfers, laundry service, fantastic tours which are always on time and are there for their guests all the time!

Our kids where even allowed to prepare their own banana pancakes for breakfast. Mr. And Mrs. Bao are so nice to all of the guests even having the patience to teach us some Thai. Our kids ran to the reception/ restaurant first thing in the morning in their pjs to say hello and didn‘t want to leave after 4 great days!

We cannot express how grateful we are that we‘ve found this place!

Thanks for everything!

Thailand is known of its kindness and hospitality and this is surely something you're going to find in Good View Resort. Mr. Bao treats his guests more like friends visiting his house than just guests at the hotel. He's very kind and helpful. He's always ready to drive his guests to the village, he leaves umbrellas right at your doorstep when it rains, he gives you bread to feed fish while you're waiting for the pickup for your tour. He's always willing to teach you new Thai words or introduce you to his pet Big Buddha - a big female toad living under the fridge.:) The rooms are very clean and well-supplied. Homemade thai food available on site is just delicious - we tried plenty of different dishes and everything was a blast. The prices are very affordable, while it would be easy to wind them up, given the secluded nature of the hotel. Similarly, the breakfast is huge, fresh and tasty. The resort is beautifully located among the nature and the view to the twin limestone rocks is just astonishing. It's a perfect choice for the people hesitant about jungle bungalows (spiders!) but still craving for lush greenery. You're going to fall asleep with a background "jungle music" coming from your balcony. I wish I could have stayed there longer!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Good View. Mr Bao was incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our family room consisted of two large bedrooms, both with en-suite, connected by a large balcony. Everything was clean and very well maintained. The air con was very effective, which was fortunate in the heat!
The pool is relatively small, but as we had it to ourselves the majority of the time, it was perfect. Mr Bao was happy to deliver us drinks and fresh fruit shakes whilst we were there.
The restaurant is reasonably priced, and the food is delicious, catering to fussy children and people who enjoy good Thai food as well! The complimentary breakfast offered a number of choices which kept us all happy.
Couldn't recommend this place more, we felt so welcomed and well cared for.

We stayed at this resort for 3 nights and our experience was top notch! From the moment we arrived to when we checked out, the staff, and particularly Mr. Bao, were friendly, courteous and extremely helpful. The resort is very close to the national park entrance. Mr. Bao also provided us with complimentary transportation to and from the park entrance and to the village. There is a mini mart and ATM right beside the resort entrance. The resort itself is set back from the road so it is quiet and feels secluded.
We stayed in Bungalow #1, overlooking a lovely garden and two limestone hills. It was peaceful and relaxing. Our room was clean and the bed was especially comfortable! We had a large deck with two comfortable chairs. The food in the hotel restaurant was also exceptional. Very delicious meals and the best Penang curry we’ve had yet. The cashew chicken dish is also delicious. Smoothies are very tasty too. Breakfast was included and was also tasty. Very good scrambled eggs! The pool is small, but perfect for cooling off. It is surrounded by a deck with lounge chairs and lots of greenery. The entire hotel feels secluded and private with lots of shade from palm and banana trees to protect from the hot sun. Overall, this family run resort is just fabulous. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone staying in Khao Sok.

Fabulous two night stay at this property in the Khao Sok National Park. Our accommodation was a really nice room with balcony overlooking the high peaks within the National Park. A really relaxing way to sit out and look at the view.

There were plenty of restaurants and bars a short drive away - the hotel served food but only until 7.30pm.

Very friendly hosts.

Highly recommend. We were only there for 2 nights, but had a great stay. Fanastic accommodation in the jungle with a great host who just could not do enough to make your stay perfection.
While we were here we went on an elephant feeding experience and also an amazing morning trek where we saw a variety of animals (including a baby monkey). We also used the lovely clean pool at the end of the day to cool down.
We ate at the hotel one night, where the meals were as good as we have had anywhere in Thailand.
The owner (Mr Bao) also arranged onward transfers to our next hotel, and offered to hold on to our luggage (as we needed to travel light).

We were accommodated in a cabin with a beautiful view of the jungle. Sitting on the terrace in the evening and listening to the sounds of the jungle was amazing. We had a reservation with breakfast, lunch and dinner could be ordered from the menu. The first day we kayaked down the river, we had a snack stop in the jungle, which was a nice experience. The next day we went on a two-day cruise on Cheow Lan Lake with one night stay provided by the khao sok view staff. They also provided us with a taxi to kata beach. We can only recommend a stay in Khao Sok and the aforementioned trips.

We had a very lovely stay at Khaosok Good View Resort: the staff and owner are very hospitable, the room was big and comfortable (beds are comfortable too!) and clean, the bathroom was perfect, the view from our balcony was gorgeous and the food.... well, all the food was just absolutely superb (I haven't had a tastier Massaman anywhere in Thailand than I had here!)!
Unfortunately we only stayed for 2 nights. If and when we're back in the area we'll definitely book here again, and stay longer!
The pool is a bonus, as is the location: away from the village so very quiet!

Hi Seeking information on how to get transport from Surat Thani Airport to Good View Hotel
Answer from lien_snave

Well, I think there is a bus from Surat Thani town going to Khao Sok town for £200 baht I think... it takes around 2 hours. We were going to take that however, we were unsure where to take it, what time the busses were scheduled for etc, so we ended up calling Mr. Bao from Khao Sok Good view to send us a taxi (it is however quite pricey at £1500). Ask around the airport or do an internet search about the bus to Khao Sok before going.
