Detailed Reviews
Excellent place to stay. The hostel is beatiful and cozy. Very clean. The rooms and beds are spaceous. They provide free linens and towells, there is also free food and toilletries from other guests. It’s very quiet and friendly. 100% recommendable. I stayed for 3 nights and would have stayed longer. You definitely need a car to move around but It’s pretty close to most of the sites. It’s the perfect place to stay if you prefer something a bit away from the city and closet to nature

We booked the apartment located in the building along the road.
The apartment is spacious with a large room with the very well equipped kitchen (sink, fridge, hotplates, oven, dishwasher, etc.) table, chairs, sofa and television and 2 single beds, a bedroom with a double bed places and a large bathroom.
The beds are comfortable.
There is ample parking and street parking. The area is quiet.
There is a restaurant nearby to eat.
The only downside is that they do not offer breakfast, plan in advance.
The establishment is close to the ocean.

This hostel has a well equipped kitchen (with free food exchange), a large common area and dining space. Also, the mattresses are great quality. However check-in process was a bit slow (had to wait for the host).

Excellent stopover on the Ring Road. Big apartment with everything needed in it. Easy to locate and parking is in front of the building. We had the room on the 2nd floor and it was very private and quiet. 4 comfortable beds spread through the apartment and room. Heaters worked very well as that night we stayed was so windy, cold and wet that we couldn't get out for a walk around the area. Do note that no ameneities nearby except a drive 20mins to the nearest town. Good WiFi cover and we had a blast making dinner in the kitchen. The sea is just meters away in the back of the building.

Stayed here for 6 nights in total. 3 at the start of a 14 day trip and 3 at the end.
Apartment had everything you could wish for and the kitchen was well equipped for self catering even had a proper oven and a dishwasher!
Everything was spotlessly clean.
Perfect base for seeing the South West and South of Iceland and only around 14km from Selfoss where theres supermarkets and restaurants.

This is located in a very nice town by the seaside. There's a lovely walk you can take out to the old dock that faces out to the sea.
As for the private rooms, the beds were not very comfortable. The "blackout" shades had slits in them and didn't block out much light; which was especially important since we were visiting during the summer months. The climate was also finicky, some nights it was warm, others it was cold. There was no thermostat. Overall, it was difficult to get a good nights sleep most of the time.
However there is a kitchenette and free tea in your room.
Theres also a few stray cats that hang around the hotel, which is personally always a plus for me.
I would probably not stay here again due to the poor sleeping conditions.

Don't be fooled by the outside; especially in bad weather it can look quite dreary. On the inside, however, spacious, cozy apartments with a modern kitchen that is fully equipped (only do the dishes yourself, but detergent is available). Coffee and tea are ready, everything is clean and nicely decorated. Neutral soap in the bathroom, nice detail. It is located by the sea, so a nice walk is guaranteed, and an ideal stopover. Staff is helpful and very friendly. Tips for food/activities, etc. available in the apartment, as well as WiFi.

Clean, comfortable, BIG and stocked with everything you need. The apartment was exactly as described. You can watch the sunrise from the living room window and the waves crash on the ocean. Wifi was strong. Staff was helpful. Easy to find and easy to check in.

Very reasonably priced apartment. The place was clean, quiet, modern and equipped with everything you need to stay comfortably for few days in this adorable village by the sea with the beautiful sunsets yet close to Selfloss and the Golden Circle. We traveled on the Ring Road booking places one day ahead. We booked this apartment for one night, but we liked it so much we decided to stay another night before heading to Reykjavik. Will definitely come back on my next trip to Iceland.

we rented an ocean view two bedroom. The toilet stopped up but they have minimal staff to help you out. The rooms are nice with a patio but no real view because the berm by the ocean blocks the view. The kitchen was fully stocked and the apartment is extra large--lots of space. I wish it would have had a hot tub. The front door will scare you away as it looks pretty old and run down but the apartments were updated and clean and modern. Only reason I would not rent this place again is we wanted a hot tub. It was raining so we couldn't walk the beach or use the patio.
