Monte da Bemposta is like a farm that washed ashore at the beautiful coastline of Alentejo. Here, there are animals and gardens, sand, rocks, and waves. Guests will find picnic spots to take it easy, alongside padel courts to get the adrenaline pumping. There are sets at the sea and sunsets by the pool. All of this lived to the rhythm of nature. With Alentejo's architectural features and details done by those who have travelled the world, all houses have a small terrace with full or partial ocean views. Few things make us feel as comfortable as a good night of sleep or seating outside enjoying a meal or a nap. Breakfast is served daily and during lunch and the afternoon there are snacks and drinks available by the pool. And because this is a family environment, don’t count on a fixed menu and feel comfortable to ask us what’s for dinner like you do at home.

My daughter (19 yrs) and I had the most wonderful 4 days stay. The location is stunning, only a 10 minute walk from lovely white beaches & a 5 minute drive to Porto Covo. The setting is a working farm with beautifully designed cottages for guests. The staff are charming & the food absolutely delicious! Time drifts by there ... either relaxing by the pool, picnics on the beach, paddle tennis, riding or just finding a tranquil spot to read. We had a very happy time and would love to return one day.

My husband and I had the perfect stay here. The view of the ocean and the sunset are amazing, you can see from the back patio of the room and also from the pool/restaurant area. The duplex room was very comfortable and the grounds were also great to walk on - loved the animals! Every staff member was extremely friendly and accommodating, and very easy to contact over WhatsApp. When we went it was very quiet and serene. I would definitely recommend this spot!

The place was the perfect retreat after a week in Porto, Sintra and Lisbon. This peaceful home away from home is nestled into a farm with miniature horses , llamas, and donkeys. The staff were very welcoming and spoke English. There is a dedicated outdoor space for table tennis, foosball and such. Lovely trails and lots of bikes , as well as a beautiful pool will keep your family busy. This place is very tranquil and somewhat remote, you need to drive 10 minutes to get to the small town of Porto Covo, but there is a wonderful seaside restaurant/cafe just a five minute walk down the road. Breakfast at the hotel was delightful, Dinner is also offered with indoor and outdoor dining, although we didn’t have enough time to try it. I would highly recommend this boutique hotel , and would happily return.

The personnel is very nice and ready to help. The food is great and the spaces are generous. A piece of Earth exploring what the land offers with vegetable gardens, fruit trees and very well treated animals. The landscape is the infinite sea of the Atlantic. It’s a magical place; great for families and couples spending a weekend or a short break in the woods :)

We can’t say enough positive things about our recent stay at Monte da Bemposta. The accommodations, grounds and location were amazing. The staff is very attuned to your needs. Everyone was so hospitable and kind; from greeting you at breakfast until evenings by the fire pit. The food was delicious and had a regional flare. All the associates were top notch; we were able to get to know Brian, Franz and Maragrida by name. We can't wait to get back! Highly recommend without any hesitation.

The setting is gorgeous, the rooms are beautiful, clean and spacious. The food was wonderful. Overall a true local experience. We loved horseback riding down to the beach and through the waves, something we always wanted to do, as fun as it is picturesque. Short walk to the beach, enjoyed exploring g Porto Cova.

We stayed 3 nights. We took trips on the fishermen’s trail. Wonderful spot, a little back from the sea (500meter) Quiet, countrystyle. Spacey rooms. Newly opened, tasteful decorated. Delicious breakfast. Super nice staff. Beautiful wiew, we enjoyed the sunset.

The place is so nice and quiet and the surroundings are amazing. Went on a beautiful bicycle tour around the place and alongside the beach. The food and the style of the room were excellent. A really special place!

excellent place to stay very well decorated rooms a great family friendly resort they cooked a good vegetarian dinner for us good service and good facilities enjoyed our short stay we had booked 2 suites and one studio and they were nice to upgrade the third room also.
