On the whole a very nice hotel with very good food. The hotel is located perfectly next to the Millenium Express. Roomservice, tidiness of the room and the TV (-programm) could be a bit better.
I would go there again!

We absolutley loved staying in the hotel for six nights in July. The staff makes you feel very welcome; they were always smiling, attentive, genuinley friendly and always went the extra mile. That warm, welcoming spirit is present throughout the hotel, from the front desk to the sports shop. Truly the friendliest staff we have ever encountered in any hotel.
Falkensteiner hotels already have a reputation for having great food, but the food at the Carinzia was truly exceptional; with there being a rich breakfast, a light and healthy lunch, and a fine dining dinner experience. For dinner a selection of soups is available, you get your plated hot and cold appetizers at the buffet station next to a wide selection of salads, premium cheeses and organic fruits. The main course and dessert were served at a table. The food was always delicious and beautifully served.

The room was spacious amd comfortable, it had a stunning view overlooking the village and nearby mountains. The beds were comfortable.
This combined with the cold and quiet nights made for a great sleeping experience.

The common areas of the hotel are well decorated, with lovley furniture and warm, natural lighting. The hotel includes, among other things; a pool, a bar, a sports shop, a game room and a spa. Speaking of the pool, it's warm and has plenty of sunbeds. It's all you could wish for if you simply want to relax and recharge. There is both an oitdoor and indoor pool. A stay at the hotel includes a free ticket to the nearby cable car wich takes you to an elevation of 1902m and the beach on the scenic lake Presseger.

In summation, I can't wait to visit again.

Hotel offers all the facilities for a carefree holiday. In addition to half board plus (extensive breakfast buffet, afternoon refreshments and in the evening a 5-course menu), there was also a well-catered BBQ theme party on Sunday. Nice swimming pool with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas. Beautiful sauna area with plenty of privacy. Free Nassfeld +card for free use lifts in the area. Garnitzenklamm is a must do but be careful with small children. Some parts is hanging from steel cables to be able to follow the path.

We stayed a week at the Hotel & Spa Carinzia in Tröpolach. Architecture and location (close to the mountain lift) were great, also the cleaning service (very discret and fast) was good. But Service in general was very bad. Beginning witch reception, continuing witch the restaurant: bad language skills (bad or no English, no German, just Italian), dishes were missing or unclean, main courses were tiny (even for a skinny woman :D ) and always cold, reception: no further information for our stay, wrong booked package, false bills at our checkout (drinks from other rooms were booked on our bill). During Corona the situation in the hotel was a mess! (in August 2020): way too many guests (hotel was full booked), overstained service, tables in restaurant stayed very close (less than 1,5 meter), just one knife for cheese for all guests without any desinfection... We can't recommend the hotel regarding price / performance. This is not a four-star level.

Dear guest, we thank you for spending time to give us such detailed feedback. Please accept our appologize for all inconveniences forced. Regarding Corona measures we would like to inform you that we do have 2 seating times for dinner to guarantee minimum requested distances between tables. Unfortunately the compliance depends also on the behaviour of our guests. You will find everywhere in the hotel disinfectant and gloves. We wish you a beautiful autum and all the best! We are returning guests , so we really like this hotel . The rooms quality , the food scale and tastes , the services , the staff approach : all excellent . The spa, especially sauna world is very good and the location is almost perfect, not direct on pist but milleneum lift is 50 meter
Why I have now 3* only because kids room was always dirty or/and closed , the room cleaning was delayed and the ski store room door was not operating and nobody helped. We will return and I recommend this hotel, these are rather warnings to keep their 4 star

I am a member of the Spirit Club from Falkensteiner and did the reservation via their own homepage.

We chose that hotel for our stay due to the location, cycling possibilities and swimming pool.

Surprisingly at the reception we were asked to pay immidiately 50% of the stay.
That has never happened before , only maybe asked for a credit card as guarantee.

Most of the information you needed to download via a QR code.
That might be a good Corona protection but I liked to see them in a larger well readable format, than to download them all on your own mobile phone.

Our superior room was spacious , The bed was very comfy, the bath room was large.
What was missing was the some sort of insect doors. There are only heavy curtains, so you either open the balcony doors , get fresh air and insect or or have everything closed.
If you do more sports like hiking, cycling , swimming you would need more facilities to hang and try your clothes. There are 4 hooks but already taken by 2 towels and 2 bathing robes
The small TV set was very old and had a very bad resolution.
Normally we don´t use the TV set during our stay but it was the Olympic games and you want to watch some of the programs.

We enjoy daily the swimming in the pool , mostly before breakfast and do some proper lanes.
After hiking and cycling the Sauna aera was great especially the steam and the
infra red room.

Food:
for breakfast there was wide variety and a lot of fresh rolls which I loved
for dinner - some of the set menues were a bit on the smaller side but you could always asked for more.

I would loved to have eaten more real Carinthian and Italian food
Several times the description of the food German (Hähnchen, Blumenkohl, rote Beete etc) instead of Austrian vocabulary was used which I find strange in an Austrian Hotel.

The staff in the restaurant was really helpful and our waitor Vladimir was the best.

We did several massages and treatments there all . That was really realxing , enjoyable and great staff.

The Nassfeld Card was a great card and we used it frequently.

Sadly we only could stay for week .

All in all it was a great stay and some small change would improve it to a 5 rating

Great location, fantastic Spa area, fantastic food. The staff very helpful, interesting room design. Well-managed Covid 19 safety (QR codes instead of touching printed materials). The hotel interior is very interesting and you feel pampered everywhere you come.

We have returned to Falkensteiner Carinthia after the Covid pandemic. We found it to be the same and completely different at the same time.
On the plus side, it's location and spa center are still one of the best in my opinion. The lady that checked us in, (I am very sorry I don't remember her name), was very kind and gave us a mountain view room, although we paid for a village view one. To be honest, both sides are nice, the mountain view is just a personal preference. The food was good and the view from the restaurant is amazing. The hotel is still very well kept, and it still looks like it did many years ago, when I first visited it.
To name some of the disappointing aspects of our stay: one of the reasons Falkensteiner Carinthia grew so much on me was Remo, the gentleman that was in charge with the sauna programs. Not only is Remo no longer with Falkensteiner Carinthia, but nobody was, during our stay. And the absolutely unbelievable explanation I got when I asked why were there no sauna programs was, I quote: "the session has not yet started". Now, to make one thing clear, for a spa resort, there is no low or high season and, since I am a paying customer, I do expect to be treated as such, whether I visit in November, March or July. I find it unexcusable to pay for services that were promised but not delivered. The "off season" atmosphere was disturbingly obvious all throughout the hotel, on December 1st, which was not only an unpleasant surprise, but a disappointment, as I have always expected the best from Falkensteiner Carinthia.
The TVs are still the ones from 15 years ago, no more bigger than a laptop. The covers on the bed are separate and that never seems to stop bothering me.
They also have a new idea, that is point blank rude and unprofessional: to add a customized tip of 10 euros/day, if you don't specifically request for it to be removed. To make myself clear, I am pro rewarding the staff, but I highly feel it should be MY choise who I tip, how often and how much. I strongly feel that this policy should be removed, as it is nor elegant, nor fair.
All things considered, I still feel Falkensteiner Carinthia is a beautiful resort, with an amazing spa and good services and I am looking forward to return as I do every year.
I would highly recommend this hotel for the spa and it's location, it's beautiful.

Everything wasn’t just worth the price.
The spa was too little for the amount of people, there were not enough sun beds so we didn’t know where to put our stuff.
The worst part is the food. For lunch you only get salads, two hot dishes that are usually very tasteless and disgusting, no food for kids (even though it’s supposed to be also for families), and the dinner is horrifying as well. The food is tasteless, they take forever to bring it out and there are only a few choices from the buffet. We went here some years ago and it was amazing, now we’re definitely gonna avoid it. There are WAY better places for even a smaller amount of money. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place! (I’m Italian so trust me on the food)

We were in this hotel for skiing. Hotel is very good localited by Millennium Express. Hotel is nice furnished, rooms are large, comfortable, clean. Bathrooms are very exciting, made from glass. Foods were very tasty, wide choise. Wellness is large, nice pools, also outside pool, more saunas. Staff is very friendly, helpful. Wifi was also good.
