It is a place set on a steep hill opposite the well known Almohade castle. The sights are awesome and we had a robust menu of lentils stew followed by a steak. Everything fine and the staff very nice and attentive (mind you: we went in a mid week day and off season)
This is a very special place with marvelous views of the huge castle nearby, a very good restaurant and comfortable rooms. The food deserves a special mention because some of it is game like deer, well cooked and very enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel.
Beautiful location on the top of a hill facing the historic castle. Fantastic view. Only down side it's on the top of a steep hill! After walking down to the village & wandering around a very clean tidy village, my calf muscles we're aching. Every road was a 1 in 4 hill. Light continental breakfast only orange juice, toast, tomato or jam. Lovley evening meal very Spanish but very good. Best rooms are 102 to 104. Large room, large bathroom, Large terrace fantastic view.
The hotel is well-located just above the old town and offers a spectacular view from it's terrace to the castle below. The rooms are comfortable, not exceptional , but more than adequate for a couple of nights. One word of warning - pillow incredibly uncomfortable, long hard sausage ! The terrace is ideal for an evening meal or just a selection of tapas from the extensive menu. Those we had were delicious and it was lovely to sit and watch the sunset and the castle being lit up. We were travelling with a dog and had no problems at all, in fact excellent cheerful treatment from the staff throughout our stay.
We stopped for photos of the nearby castle, to use the rest rooms and have a drink. The rest rooms were average. The service was good. The ice coffee drink was to die for. As for the castle views - brilliant opportunities for photos.
