I stayed with my boss in this hotel during our business trip. We came from landed in Stuttgart and had a long trip to this hotel near our working place. But it was worth it. The hotel named "...an der Glatt" because it is located on the river Glatt in Black Forest area. There are pastoral countryside views around. The problem is that we had bad mobile phone connection in this area however we used hotel internet. Hotel service is great and invisible. Its restaurant "Locanda" and hotel itself has old German style design .German country breakfast was very good and food was delicious. Great place to rest for at least a week , but unfortunately it was a business trip, so we couldn't enjoy it so long.

While traveling from Triberg to Frankfurt, we booked this hotel on an internet site. As we were driving on narrow and winding rural roads, we were seriously rethinking our decision. When we arrived at the hotel in late afternoon, there was no one at the front desk, but our room keys (with our names) were laid out on the desk along with Wi-Fi info. Our rooms were large, clean, and well-supplied with patio doors to a common patio. The owner/manager (?) appeared later and informed us that the restaurant would be open for dinner. Our server was also the cook, and she did a wonderful job. The manager talked to us for quite a while, and even brought his adorable dog to visit. The next morning, we paid $5 per person and enjoyed a delicious breakfast of meats, cheeses, yogurts, coffee, tea, cereals, etc. The antiques were fantastic. This place was a marvelous find.

we had a really warm welcome at this hotel, arriving for a one night stay before returning to Brussels on the way home from a coach tour with leger, I was assigned a room on the top floor, facing the side/rear of the hotel. It was a little dated but clean, but had a mixure of lamps with different shades etc along with mish mash of the bedroom furniture. The bathroom was quite dated with a shower unit which required careful entry to as it had a high tiled side. I had a comfortable nights sleep. I did like the pillows as they were the same at all the hotels on our tour except for the Holiday Inn on our trip. The meals were quite basic and low budget but I'm not sure what Leger pay for this hotel it could be that the budget is small than other hotels we used. The evening meal was adequate, to start with clear soup with a couple of ravioli in the middle of it along with some rolls (mainly the budget heat up rolls like we get pre-packed in the UK). I enjoyed this soup and had seconds compliments of another guest. The main course was pasta which I gather could be a local recipe its shape was not appealing served along with pieces of chicken (good portion) in a thin sauce, the sauce was a little spicy and tasty but this meal did not stand out and it would have been nice to see some side dishes of vegs and perhaps a more substantial sauces. The sweet was tinned black cherries with spray cream quite a let down but everyone liked it! a fresh made pudding like Black Forest Gateau would have been a preferred choice. Looked like a rush job the whole meal! The breakfast was okay but didn't match any of the other 3 hotels we stayed at. having said this the atmosphere was superb in the restaurant and the surrounds were amazing filled from top to bottom with antiques, it was a school lessen in history and I could have spent all day if staying longer looking at what was there. If you don't like stuffed animals don't go as there was plenty on display in the main restaurant. I loved the cable car exhibited in the reception area lovely for children visiting.

We spent an overnight stay at this hotel whilst on a coach trip. It is in a remote valley and pretty village. The outlook was lovely by a clear flowing river. However the hotel is in need of major refurb it is shabby inside and out. The room was dirty cigarette burns on carpet, bathroom needed a complete clean with a steam cleaner. We had an inclusive evening meal soup like flavoured water with dry rolls then some sort of cold potato with a pork fillet. A lot of flies around. Breakfast was very good the couple who own it were very pleasant but they need to do a lot of work to make it up to standard.

We took a group of 40 young people on a Performing Arts tour to the Black Forest and stayed at this hotel. The facilities, rooms, food and staff we all excellent. The manager Lorenzo went out of his way to accommodate us. He made our stay safe , comfortable and most of all exceedingly enjoyable. Dave Hayes St Paul's School Liecester England
