I am a blogger/journalist with 135 000 followers and travelling all over the world with tourists. I made and organized dozens of trips, especially in America Latina. Experience at Finca El Ocaso was the most terrible. I came one week before my group to book a tour for a lot of people. We travelled all over the world to Colombia to discover it beauty and to tell everyone that its a beautiful country and thats its very safe to travel here. But Finca El Ocaso doesnt want to make Colombia picture good. Though we had reservation, they even didnt allow us to be late at 15 (!!!) minutes on the day of the tour. We were travelling from Bogota 7 hours and took the earliest bus to participate in the tour. Bus arrived 15 minutes later so we asked Finca El Ocaso to wait just 15 minutes. And they refused. We had a flight 13 hours, bus 7 hours but they couldnt give us 15 (!!!) minutes of delay of the tour. This is terrible and not human-like behavior. We went to coffee tour to Buenos Aires finca and the tour was super cool. Please dont select Finca El Ocaso because they are not treating their clients well. They dont have any humanity at all. And they are not interesting to present Colombia like a friendly country. Go to Buenos Aires or other fincas because you can try to have a coffee tour after flying from other part of the world and they will tell you: no. Think about ut. Not recommendable at all. 1 star.

Our family had the most spectacular place to stay and the Premium coffee tour is 100% to do. Thanks I hope to come back soon. Rooms are comfortable and every single staff member treat you as a part of their own family. Come with a 4wd as the road is unpaved.

We were on the coffee tour in this amazing and beautiful farm and got so many interesting information about tradition of coffee industry in Colombia, growing, whole process of preparation and distribution of final product. It takes 1,5 hour aprox. and in the end you can enjoy right Colombian cup of coffee. Our guide Andrés was really proffesional, answered all our questions and he was also very funny. Really can just recommend!

This is a must-do tour if you are in Salento. Spend the extra time and money and do the premium 3-hour tour in English. No detail is spared. The amazing tour guide “Jenny” (be sure to request her, you will be glad you did) will start the tour with explaining and demonstrating how coffee is grown, harvested, separated, dried, roasted, graded, classified/cupped and finally you sample tour hard work. This is an extremely hand-on experience and you will leave with a wealth of knowledge and appreciation for what seems like a simple beverage but is highly complex! Be sure to get a ride to the facility 45 minutes before in a private jeep Willy from the town square. It costs 70k pesos total (35k each way). The driver will wait for you to bring you back. You could walk it but it is remote on unlit roads. Do this tour!! You will be glad you did.
